    I was looking yesterday at the channel in search of a review of this one, and was like "what, no video of the ultrawide?" and suddenly, it magically appears! Next time, I'm going to wish for a winning lottery ticket.

    It was a tough decision between this and the Aorus. The deciding factor was the 90watts power from the USB C.

    Dang it these 40 inch UW's is just very tempting to buy but i HATE having to worry about amazon delivery ugh.

    Can you compare this against the MSI Mag 40? Thanks

      @ELCrisler 10 місяців тому

      Just looking at the specs they are likely the same panel. The MSI offers a couple more USB ports and connect to the PC, as well as RGB. However I like the stand on the Innocn a lot more, must lower profile.

    Is that 93ppi a deal breaker for content creation?

    How does this compare to the LG 40? Which one would you prefer for productivity factoring the price difference

    • @JohnnyMcPro
      @JohnnyMcPro  Рік тому

      The LG 40 costs so much more, you get a lot for the price of the Innocn! Especially in the color accuracy category. If money is no option, get the LG 40

    Can this run Freesync/VRR with HDR concurrently? How are the overdrive settings? And lastly, biggest concern, how black are the blacks? Compared to your LG 38wn95c?

    • @JohnnyMcPro
      @JohnnyMcPro  Рік тому

      Yes, Freesync and HDR work together. I maxed this out to 144hz and mostly the out-of-box settings. Blacks are on-par, if not better than the LG.

    I have this monitor and when using HDR...do you get the very noticeable edge lighting turning off and on in spots? For example, turn on HDR and go to an all black screen and slowly move mouse from side to side...you'll see what appears to be Vertical dimming zones turning off and on where mouse cursor is. It's very weird. Other than that tho I LOVE THIS MONITOR! It's a giant screen that is super vivid and blacks are super dark and clean with low to no bloom! I just get those weird, what i call dimming zones. Unless mine is defective!

    all text and icons on 1440 monitors looks awful, no retina

    • @ELCrisler
      @ELCrisler 10 місяців тому +2

      Wow sounds like you so not understand how Retina displays work. Retina is based on PPI vs distance viewed, that means ANY display can be Retina. This display at about a 34" viewing distance will be considered a retina display.

    Saying its "Better then LG" is actually impossible. LG manufactures the panel that INNOCN buys from LG's B-Grade stock supply to build and sell this as their own. Hence the reason for it's cheap price. These "B-Grade" panels that LG didn't certify as useable within their product line for any number of possible imperceptions get sold to many lesser know companies to build products like this one. I'm not saying its a bad value or that it doesn't have its place in the monitor market but, your video title is simply false and inaccurate.

      So Sony utilizes LG OLED panels for their TV’s and Sony’s tv look almost alway better due to their processing. Panels are only one part of the equation. So NO it’s not impossible.

    • @PCPAyLOAD
      @PCPAyLOAD Рік тому +1

      @blacksunshine489 You need to read and understand what I wrote before commenting. I said INNOCN buys B stock. As in the panels that don't pass LG QC. I never said Sony bought them. Of course Sony buys the A grade panels. I was clearly talking about B-Grade panels, not what Sony buys nor was I speaking about Sony's processor technology. My comment was obviously talking specifically about INNOCN.

    Man, i really love your videos and i respect you very detailed and cozy style to explain and to talk. Very informative videos at all. But i stopped watching the videos when you told that 93 ppi is more than enough. You serious when telling us it is better than LG? Just to let you know: i got studio display and also an LG ultrafine 4k. I had some INNOCN monitors at home to test and they never ever come any close to the LG pixel density. Maybe its good for gamer, but put this thing on a mac and run it on high resolution and then compare it to the LG

    • @JohnnyMcPro
      @JohnnyMcPro  Рік тому +1

      It's definitely one of those displays that you have to try to believe - at this large of a size with your viewing distance - the PPI is less of a factor than a smaller 27" monitor that you sit closer to.
