    Great review! I watched several and found yours to be the best -- not only because of how thorough it was, but also because of the high resolution video, which made a big difference. I'm getting this bag via your link!

      Can you fit a medium-sized packing cube into the main compartment of your Fit Pack? Although not an absolute dealbreaker, I’m trying to get an idea of how much stuff you can actually fit into that duffel compartment [esp since I probably wouldnt really be using the shoe compartment for shoes]. TIA

    I personally like the new thumbnails because im a fan of your channel. But i think to someone looking around UA-cam for bag reviews would beattracted to the old style thumbnails. U can see more of the product at a glance....and great review as always

      Thank you for watching and for the feedback on the thumbnails! I really appreciate the support and I’ve definitely been curious to hear what everyone thinks and I’m still planning to experiment between the two styles as I think you make a good point on the visibility of the product being something that might be more attractive!

    It’s understandable if you tweak the shape or the material of the bag, but tell me, what makes the v1 cannot have the water bottle holder? feel like they deliberately save some of the features(e.g. water bottle holder) in the future version, just because they want to sell more bags. This planned obsolescence is not good for the environment at all

    Great review! Really well done! If you could let me know if a 13 inch laptop fits in the "tablet" compartment with a 15 inch laptop in the laptop sleeve that would be awesome! I'm looking at getting a bag with less pockets than I have now and this is on my shortlist!

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! It was a little tight but I was able to store a 13 inch MacBook in the tablet sleeve while I had another 13inc MacBook in the laptop sleeve. If it’s a 15 inch laptop that’s a similar thickness to a macbook I think it could work ok. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)

    • @dannypacks

      It sticks out of the compartment a fair amount (maybe almost half is above the sleeve) as that pocket isn’t super deep

    Are you able to physically fit your usual packing cube into the main compartment (given the split opening and teardrop design, can a packed out medium-sized rectangular packing cube fit inside the opening or do the zippers not open long enough?) or do you have to put your clothes in loosely to fit for like a weekend trip (so like ~3 days of clothes)?

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you for watching and good question! A medium packing cube can be squeezed in but it is going to be really tight and difficult to get the cube in and out, the shape just really isn’t meant for that, but it can hold a smaller packing cube or some loose clothing a little better and the duffel pack 3 can hold the medium packing cube a little bit better. Hope that helps a bit and please let me know if there are any additional questions I can help answer about the bag!:)

    • @tcxi
      @tcxi 3 роки тому

      @@dannypacks thanks a lot for answering. I guess I can go back to packing loose clothing, or maybe getting a smaller cube. I like your videos bc you largely pack the same things or comparable objects so I have a better idea of how different bags' volumes compare with each other.

    Thanks for this review. Curious to know your thoughts about how many gym items it could carry. Meaning would one be able to have gym shirts, shirt, workout and shower towel along with gym shoes? All of that while also carrying a laptop and charger and some other accessories…

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  Рік тому +2

      Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! It can depend on the size of the items (towel, shoes, laptop) but in general the bag should be able to handle the items you mentioned. If it seems like you might want a little extra space the duffel pack 3 is very similar but a little bigger

    • @tcxi
      @tcxi 3 роки тому +1

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  Рік тому +1

      Thank you for watching! If you mean the water bottle pockets on the side, the peak design one or similar size might fit but the pockets are a little shallow so I would be concerned with it slipping out if the bag is laid down especially if the main area is pretty packed out (the main area on this also feels like it might be tricky to use with camera gear imo)

    Hey man. Greetings from Sydney, Australia. Great videos!
    Between the Aer Fit Pack 3, Bellroy Transit Workpack, Bellroy Classic Backpack Plus 2nd edition and the Modern Dayfarer (V2 is coming next month apparently), which one would you personally choose? I work in an office full-time and I cycle all the way to the gym right straight after I finish work!

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  Рік тому +1

      Thank you for watching and I’m glad the videos have been helpful! Definitely some great options there, the transit Workpack is probably the one I use the most of that group due to the layout and aesthetic, with that being said I think the fit pack is the most comfortable of the bunch for my preferences and it’s nice that the fit pack and dayfarer backpack have a separate shoe compartment. I haven’t had a chance to check ojt the dayfarer yet, but it looks as great as the original I just find the straps a little thinner than the fit pack and and you have to be a little more careful with securing the top lid if you think you’ll be having to use the bag in the rain

  • @KoIzumi24
    @KoIzumi24 3 роки тому +5

    I kind of hate that with every iteration of their previous day bags, they make it shorter. 47cm is the perfect height for an everyday carry bag. This has been notorious for the Day Pack 2 and now the Fit Pack 3 (44cm). I own the Fit Pack 2 X-PAC and I have to say I love that bag to bits, but I'm not sure how to feel about the Fit Pack 3 when the things that makes the Fit Pack 2 so great is the perfect measurements it had. Currently using the Bellroy Transit Workpack as my daily carry, and constantly miss the harness system found on the Fit Pack 2. Kind of want to pick this up but I'm unsure about the comparison with the comfort compared to the previous version. What do you think about the comfort between the Fit Pack 2 vs Fit Pack 3 fully packed out?

    • @CharaRem
      @CharaRem 3 роки тому +2

      There are short people like me who are struggling to find a decent bag shorter than 45cm (my torso is measured at ~40cm). Maybe that is their goal. To target this group of customers. For taller people there is the duffel pack.

    • @KoIzumi24
      @KoIzumi24 3 роки тому +1

      @@CharaRem if that is so then maybe I can see why. Just a bit sad that the measurements of the bag couldn't stay the same for the next versions of the bag.

    • @KoIzumi24
      @KoIzumi24 3 роки тому +1

      For reference, I also own the Aer Day Pack 2. I'm 5"10. And I thought I was going to like the comfort and everything but..... sadly I was rather disappointed by it. I'd like to try the Fit Pack 3 before I make a clear judgement. But so far the length shrink has made me kind of turn away from their other bags as edc and maybe look at something like the aer travel pack 2 small. I wish that could get an update where it's for edc (25L maybe).

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for watching and good question! Overall I feel the comfort between this and the fit pack 2 is about the same and more comfortable than the transit work pack (although I still prefer that bag overall it’s super versatile). And that’s a great idea on a smaller travel pack 2 small, at 25l that might just be my perfect bag! Haha

    • @KoIzumi24
      @KoIzumi24 3 роки тому

      @@dannypacks The FP2's harness system is by far the most comfortable I've used. And I also own the Topo Core Pack. Easily beats out all of my current collection. And it was actually an impulse buy because it came on X-PAC. And I see! I might have to sell my Day Pack 2 to buy the Fit Pack 3, since I"m not really using the DP2 anyways. I hope they at least release a new version of the travel pack in different sizes. I like your videos. They've been helpful.
