Hail Hail to George & the Delaware Destroyers
freakin killer @markagnesi Yo Jen 🎥📹🎸
You know what? I've been GAS'ing for a guitar from the year of my birth, and I think a 1962 ES-125 might just fit the bill! Affordable too.
And while I'm here, can I just give a shout out to Guitarpoint Guitars in Germany (I'm not advertising the competition, I doubt if any of Norm's customers would want to pay the shipping). Great alternative (or addition) to Mark if you want to see some vintage planks getting spanked.

Three killer songs, a cool guitar and a great player 🎸🔥🔥
Continually amazed by Mark’s playing. So many different styles and sounds. Truly inspiring. Thanks for all the hard work Mark and Jen. I’m sure these vids are sometimes the LAST thing you want to do at the end of the day.
Norm give them both a raise already!
Thanks for the shoutout, Mark and Jen! Love you guys!
It’s rare that get here before Mike M.!!!
Max Fisher lol. I’m watching
Like so many great guitar players Mark plays not only with his hands, but with his face as well. Great stuff!
Hey Mark... as a guitar mogul I really love hearing all the information you give about models. I learn a lot and listen like a pupil at school. This is simply lovely. Cheers from Berlin!
Wow that's one of my favorites. It's beautiful and sounds even better.
Better really late than never? To hear those p90's? HELL YES! Rock On!
Rock Hard Riffs P-90s! Single coil done right!
darn tootin'! ;-)
The smile on Mark's face when it started feeding back made the whole video worth it!!
I had that exact same guitar. I was jamming out with Jerry Garcia and Abraham Lincon. Good times.
Whatever happened to Abe's strat?
Sky King idk when I met him he was shredding an Ibanez 😂
Though Lincoln was a mini humbucker man?
@@skyking228 its in Terlingua. It can be found at La Kiva, in Study Butte on Saturday night
@@gutbucket260 he's back to P90s now.
Wayyyyy cool guitar🎸 and even cooler classic tone from those p90s. Looked like Mark was actually having a good time! Thanks guys! Byeeee
Mark how did you learn so much about Guitars? I really enjoy the Guitar of the day schooling you give us, thanks and keep up the good work. Thank you too Jen.
These videos always make me want to pick up my guitar and play...everyday! Thank you!!
Good job Mark and Jen
I have the same version 125 TDC. Mine's from '65 with the chrome P90 pickup covers. It was a feedback monster. At first I stuck cardboard in the f holes then just relented and bought a new strat. This was back in '73. Talk about 2 ends of the guitar spectrum. Eventually sold the strat. Still have the 125.
I love to hate on Mark just because but damn.... he is sooo ridiculously talented!
Off to bed now waiting for Thumpin Thursday. We get the videos a day later. Keeping fingers crossed for a shout out Strataday for my 40th birthday. Watch every day. Huge fan. Thanks Mark and Jen.
I never got to hear blue on black for my b-day but it's all good lol I appreciate every episode you do I'll watch every one you do even the thumpin Thursdays I got every person in my family who plays a stringed instrument watching your videos so we'll be watching and listening just in case you happen to play it
That guitar is a beauty.
This thing is so fucking gorgeous I can't get over it. Seriously, LOOK AT IT!!!
My absolute dream guitar. Fuck every other guitar in the world lol.
I have a 1969 version here in Michigan I’ve decided to sell this winter. Same heritage cherry sunburst, original hardshell case, great condition, and just checked over by Elderly Instruments in East Lansing. I might be headed to Sydney in March, coincidentally. TBD
Always a pleasure to watch a master at work 😀
Gotta give it up to Mark, he's a killer guitar player
Just blooming lovely!!
Mark, Brilliant as usual.
#bringbackweirdasswednesdayMarkandJen

1. I Zip Alone
2. Zip it on Over
3. Bad to the Zip
That guitar is Georgeous.
Mark killing it with the playing today.
Plenty of big names come through the doors but nobody cooler than Mark and Jen.
Drooling over this one!!! :-)
Great guitar and, my, the red and yellow colors of this sunburst look delicious! I just want to lick that guitar!
OMG. Super fine sound and playing!
I played one of these in my local shop recently. Awesome unique guitars with their own mojo!
Awesome playing as always... fun to see Mark struggle with feedback ! !
Wow that was cool ! Mark I will give you a case of beer to come play like that at my Christmas party ! That was awesome
Thank you thank you for the back story and the provenance on these guitars you play / adds so much weight to the vids 😎❤️
I don’t think I’m alone when I say that I want a Mark Agnesi montage of him getting caught using a snark tuner
www.thebigkahuna.co.uk/snag.jpg - this one?
That's it. My number 1 dream guitar right there."Yeeeeeeeeeeah with nobody else..."
I am so happy! I have that exact same guitar (not as clean though) and I gotta tell ya they are barn burners! On one of the videos on your site Joe Bonamassa talks about how important it is ti use the volume control and these guitars are a great example of that. I play more jazzy stuff and I rarely open the volume pot up all the way and I get a nice sort of Charlie Christian sound. But it sure is fun to open it up all the way and rattle the windows for a while. These are great guitars and they are generally the most inexpensive of the ES guitars. There also seem to be quite a few of them out there so they are a great chance to get a great vintage guitar for a reasonable price. Thank you so much for finally doing one they are my absolute favorite of the ES guitars and I have been waiting forever to see one on GOTD. FYI there are some 3/4 size ones out there that are really cute!
I love the boxy sounding click on the bass notes using the bridge PU.
That sounded exactly like the record on bad to the bone, great guitar! P90's are king!
Greetings from Chile! I´m a big fan from southamerica!
Looks like you guys have a lot of fun in that back room
merry christmas mark n jen!! love the show, cheers from seattle!
"Oh, yeah" says it all. Very nice.
I'm in love what a guitar!!!!!
Years ago I was just getting into G. Thorogood when SR Vaughn blew me away, but I always like George's gritty snarly sound with those P90's! Get one of these 125's and a LPJr. and you'll certainly have some weapons! Mark your playing's great!
Representing some George Nice!!! as usual a beautiful piece of wood !!!
Happy WednESday everyone!
It's the all George & the Destroyers
episode.
Outstanding Mark! That box has a great sound.
Nice...love the explanation of the guitar model number. Seem to learn something every episode. Oh yeah, love the George T as well, well done again ......
Best video so far in GoD. Oh and nice camera word today Jen. Like
My dream guitar!
About $7,000 today. I almost got one in 2004, but couldn't justify the cost and use of a vintage 1966 for working gigs.
Right up my alley on this.i love my 59 es175 With p 90s
my birthday is dec 14. a shout out would be cool. guitar of the day is my favorite part of the day
Very nice seeing one of these....enjoyed the songs fit the guitar 👍🏻
Fantastic playing Mark.

Freaking awesome !!!!!!!!!! Love this show!!
Kick ass playing Mark!
I love me some Thorogood! Great playing Mr. Agnesi!
Please please do more B.C. Rich guitars!!!!!!! I know you probably don’t get that many but please do them whenever you get them in. I’m still drooling over that 10 string Bich from awhile back.
1. George Thorogood "I Drink Alone" 2."Move It On Over" 3."Bad To The Bone"..G.T blues rock for your..what rhymes with socks?:-)!!
Bodyknowledge 77 .....locks...
Fender jazz 62 yes.............maybe..........
I can dig it.
Damn, Mark can just about anything.
Dude!! I think that is the nastiest sounding guitar I’ve seen you do! Loved that!
You were freakin loving that Mark.
Mark is amazing…
Love the throughly Good stuff, well done!
Mark killin' it ! Awesome !
When I was born in 1957 my dad celebrated by going out and buying a Gibson Es125T tobacco burst. It never left the house and when he passed on......yep, I took it to my house. Lucky me. Huh?
this sound really special William, congrats
That was kick-ass slide stuff, bro! Good shootin', Jen!
Bought this guitar when I was 12 for $500 in 1986. Still have it 100% bone stock exactly like this... minus that strap button. Thank you for not playing jazz. Lol
I got a '61 in Tulsa in 1986 for $350 with a 335 case. Still have it!
nice slide work Mark
#wewantweirdasswednesday
Similar to a Guild Stsrfire 2 w/trapeze tail piece. Sweet-👍🏽
Just got one of those bad boys...super clean
Fun stuff Mr. Agnesi
This BABY WONT LAST THE WEEK before she's SNAPPED UP!!! 🌮💚
DAMN AGNESI!!! I Know you can play but MAN OH MAN what a SWEET JOB on ' I drink alone' . Also your choice with the Slide, using metal instead of Glass, much more of that tinny sound. You should DEFINITELY work more Lead Riffs into your Demos. HI JEN..............🎸💚
My birthday is coming up next Tuesday on the 19th. Do you think Mark could do some Pink Floyd on Tele Tuesday?
Thanks,
Marty
Meridian, MS
It would likely be more appropriate to play Gilmour on Straturday. But he plays a Tele too, just not on too many Floyd records. Tidbit of useless information, Gilmour recorded the solo of Another Brick pt 2 on a Gibson Les Paul a 1950's Gold Top (yes with P-90's). But I'm all for Mark playing some Gilmour any day! And happy early birthday Marty (mdotn9)!
Syd Barrett played an esquire in the early Floyd days so I dont see why there's an issue :)
How could I forget that Syd played an esquire. I suppose I'm just getting old.
he could play Astronomy domine and Hey you with a tele
Thanks!
Well played!
Authentic playing, right down to the roughed up brassie. Agnesi and The Cleveland Destroyers.
Awesome 175-TDC. Great playing Mark! Think I'll go have one bourbon, a double scotch, and think I'll skip the beer! Cheers!
DaveR Can I have the beer if you don't want it?
Bet! you can have my beer tonight! Think it's about scotch:30!
Hey DaveR It's a 125 TDC, not a 175. Quite a difference.
Oops you're right. My bad. Already had the bourbon at that point
Sounds badass Mark! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great stuff. I have no real interest in Gibsons, but your videos are informative and entertaining. I do like the 335s.
Duuuudddee thats the thorogood sound agnesi! #WeirdAssWednesday #WednESday #61ES125
Hey Mark! Can you do The Cure acoustic this coming Friday? My bestfriend Joe is in the hospital. He’s a big fan of Guitar of the day and massive fan of The Cure. I hope you can play a couple of songs for him while recovering. He’d greatly appreciate it plus The Cure are also celebrating their 40 years anniversary. It would be a fitting tribute for them and for my friend Joe. Thanks a lot!
Move it on over!!!! Nasty guitar love it!!!!
George Thorogood is a fucking guitar hero. People talk about underrated guitarist and shitfire George is so underrated he can't even get on those lists. He should easily be considered top ten of all time.
Great Job Mark!
Hey Mark! I don't know when you guys are going on break for the holidays but my birthday is Dec 28th. Thus, I would like to be entertained; I want you to play jazz on a fretless bass for Thumpin' Thursday. Or depending on the day, give me a killer maple-boarded strat. Thanks for providing the giggles and finger tickles.
Edit: if you want to keep the respect of the viewers, I'd also be fine with you playing Bennie and the Jets for me.
Killer set Mark.
Oh, hell yes!
Is there a song that you don’t know? Fantastic playing and great information on axe backgrounds Mark! Jen, as always, great videography. Do you think you could do Rory Gallagher tribute Strat? Hard to believe it’s 20 years gone by already.
All these guitars in one shop....i don´t think you would find as many cool guitars in the whole UK..
Nice, very nice
That did not suck! Killer performance
