Marvin Berry Signature Model.
Good one! Lol
There's a factory Bigsby on the MB Sig with redundant stop bar holes and posts.
I think he stole the time machine and went to the future a few years and brought that guitar back to '55!
guess you guys weren't ready for that... but your kids are gonna love it
#WednESday #1962GibsonES345
1)thrill is gone/ BB King 👑
2)hideaway/Freddie King 👑
3)Johnny B Goode/Chuck Berry
that was just delightful, sweet sounding ES
great demo @markagnesi 🎸Hi Jen🎥☺️
Mike M hello. #1 is actually BB King's "The Thrill Is Gone":-)
Bodyknowledge 77 i think your correct BK 👍🏼
Mike M indeed sometimes I can be..:-0
Hey guy's I think the M in Mike is for Mad Man guitar player, go check out his channel and subscribe!!! Definitely a Rock n Roller!!! Rock on!!! : ua-cam.com/channels/Ro2gXAAv_1jpBiAYM9m1Ww.html
I thought number one might have been born under a bad sign
Well Gents i'm back again to say this is my absolute favorite video of theirs they've put out to date. Miss ya Mark.
always good to hear Freddie King!!!
A year and some later this is my favorite video to come back to. PEAK of the Mark era at Norms. Lemmo's got his groovy stuff, but this, this right here is the Bees Knees!
Hey, Mark and Jen! I watch your guitar of the day videos every single day. I work for the US government in Afghanistan and when my internet connection goes dark, life sucks. I have been playing guitar for 15 years and will never be good at it, but I love watching these videos. Huge stress reliever. Fun, informative, and just plain cool. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Anybody else glad to hear Mark play some blues? Great playing, especially on Hideaway.
Oh wow...Lemmo shook him up with that leather blazer...now he's wearing a sad dad hoodie instead of his usual jacket.
charliethegent Good. Too many zips and buttons on the usual jacket. Like a chase grater on those guitars.
Since I’m only 18, I only have one electric at my disposal, obviously an ES guitar. So versatile and AWESOME!!🤘🏻
It’s Marvin! Your cousin......Marvin Berry
Aaron Tackett 😂
Fuck that great comment, You wore
You know that new sound you're looking for? Well listen to THIS!!!
Oh and chuck don't forget to remove the camera from the woman's bathroom so you don't get sued for 1.2 million
And jezz doc ,can we go into the future and get that cure for Parkinsons
One of the best song selection for that specific guitar so far. Easy top 3
Killer ES from Norms stash. Lovely 1962 Gibson. Marty! Marvin Berry’s cousin Chuck played one of those. 🤘🏻🎸
Mark, Your intro & history lesson on this video is just fantastic. Keep educating us. I love how in detail you went with this one.
Ohh the greatness of Freddy King. Well done Sir. Dallas loves you.
I would like to wish everyone with a birthday today a happy birthday.
All jokes aside, thank you for the videos. Most days, it will be the best thing I see on UA-cam that day.
Great playing Mark, great rhythm and timing! Well done
One of your best shows yet Mark. Your guitar playing is excellent and one can tell how much you must like this Gibson just based on how you play it. Real PAF's..
The es guitars just sound amazing for blues.
Agreed. Including Epi Riv's and Sheratons even. Didn't take them long to find their market...or vice versa.
What a gorgeous guitar. And, great playing.
That scene in Back to the Future was supposed to be in 1955. He must have stopped in 1962 along the way...
Funny thing is: Norm actually provided the guitars for the film. The original guitar supposed to be used by Marty was period correct, but they actually found the red 345 cooler, so they put it in instead.
I think this is the very first time anyone has demo'd a Gibson amplifier on UA-cam.
It sounds great! The compression and breakup is awesome.
You’re one hell of a guitar player, Mark. I enjoy these videos so much, I always look forward to them. Keep up the great work.
Do an airline with some Jack White next Wednesday! Rock on Mark!
Another great video. Sounds great, looks great. It;s just great. The world has been put back into it's grove once again. I loved it when she moved around next to the amp. Awesome as always. Thank you Mark.
Badass guitar/amp combo and great song selection!
I can listen to you jam an ear guitar all day long! Love an es guitar!
I'm a bass man myself but i think that is the best video you guys have ever made and i just love them style of guitars got to get myself one, Think mark could have played for ever on that beast and i think he's just been moved by a strong feeling of madness, or a supernatural power @ 13:00 into the video, The sound was outstanding on that was it the guitar or the amp or both that made it so cool, Nice work guys from Castleford , England,
Forgot how good Mark is on guitar. Great job!! He enjoyed that ES 345.
Best whoops giggles and Byeees in the whole wide world Jen. We love you xxxx Fab far out and groovy in the mists as always xxxx Best vid ever !! x
Love your passion and knowledge. Freddy King was one of the reasons I started playing guitar.
ps. there are pics of Freddy playing both a stop tail piece model and also a trapeze tail model.
This video could not have been perfecter. Wow, now that was impressive.
Mark is getting even better on guitar. Very nice.
Damn, Mark rockin'down the house...sweet!
I just love this show and you are a good player. I bought my first guitar around 1959. I was a 335 style but with only one pick up whatever model that was. I had some money saved and I’m glad that I was able to but a quality guitar.
Insanely gorgeous guitar!
Hideaway is such a great tune
This is my dream guitar!❤️
Great guitar, great song selection, great playing.
Awesome guitar playing Mark..that is a Killer Guitar and Amp combo
Nice to hear Mark play some lead. Great sounding guitar. Love it.
That was so freaking tasty, I had to come back for seconds....and I'm still drooling! Killer playing Mark!
Its the Mark J Fox show !....lol I love that guitar and those tunes thanks Mark what a great job.
Loving your Hideaway Mark! Can tell you really dig this guitar!
Neck Pickup: The Thrill Is Gone - BB King
Middle Pickup: Hideaway - Freddie King
Bridge Pickup: Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry ("Covered" by Marty McFly) Absolute killer Rock 'n' Roll machine, that's what this guitar was goddamn designed for \m/
Thrill is Gone- BB king, Tracey Chapman
For the neck pickup
Andrew Pappas born under a bad sign
The turnaround is wrong for BUABS. I would go with The Thrill Is Gone for sure
Paul McCaffrey Just noticed it your right
great job on Hideaway, Mark! thats definitely the tone right there yessir
Mark, I'm around your age and two things I became obsessed with from BTTF was cars and guitars!!! I remember my parents buying our first VHS and BTTF was the first movie we watched on it.
Oh yeah, I'm that guitar/amp combo.-- sounds fabulous!
My favourite GOTD to date. Mark you really nailed that early sixties tone.
Beautiful!
I am weak from the coolness of that Gibson Stereo Amp! Talk about weird ass awesome.
Stop tail on the only way to go!! Great demo!! Mark and Jen nail it again!! Screw stereo!! Good work y'all!
Damn that sounded awesome. Great playing dude.
Hi I'm Steve a London cabby , love the stuff you do Mark.
Can we see Jen and finally put a face to that voice much obliged .
although she's video shy she makes a brief appearance on her birthday video.. but she's not camera shy and you can google staff photos of norman's rare guitars and select "images" you can see Jen in many photos with the NRG gang, friends and the stars
Nice Job!!!! That was sick!!!
Wow i thought i saw sparks flying great work mark
That sounds incredible
@markagnesi your show always inspires me to go play guitar! Thanks! That is one goddamn fucking hell of a nice guitar/amp BTW 😉
Marky mark and the funky grooves!
Lovely Guitar, that amp was pretty killer too. 🤘💀🤘
wedESday is the best. Cool 🎸 guitar! Thanks guys!!! Byeeeeeeee
Great guitar performance young man.
Kids, love the guitar info though, for me it was watching in the theater the “Jimi” film back in 73 which I still have the soundtrack to. Nice sound and chops mark. ✌️ byeeeeee.. ps Thank You Jen!!!! 💕
Not just a Hideaway excerpt, but the whole song! Clearly this was a fun GOTD for all! I wish I had the kind of coin this one merits.
in love with that guitar
Possibly one of the best things I've heard 🎸🔈🔉🔊
That is a beautiful guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The best one that did not suck! Loved it want more.
Great playing
Sweet demo - thanks
Typically don't love ES guitars myself, but I do love the players (B.B. and Freddie). However, one thing I love about this is the no block inlay one the first fret. Such a cooler, cleaner look to me. SOUNDS AWESOME!!
Oh hell yes. Hoping u were gunna have the companion Gibson stereo amp. Well done!!
Mark, you're showing off. Nice guitar.
That was soooo good thank you.
Hello McFly?!? Awesome guitar and equally cool amp.
My favorite flavor. Play it Mark! Thanks Jen! Byeee!!!!
Are birthday shout outs still a thing? I'd love nothing better than to see something rad for #ThumpingThursday for my 21st! Cheers Mark and Jen. Much love from snowy Canada!
I want the guitar and amp.
I'm puttin' them on my Christmas list.
Wow, what a great explanation. Subscribed on IG!
Did Norm ever meet Seth Lover? Great tutorial, playing, camera work and editing. Thanks!
Love 345s, just bought a 355 with a bigsby. Now that was a good NGD!
Great rendition of Hideaway!
Was hoping you would play it behind your head. Great job.
Looks yummy, sounds tasty. Nice work, all the right passages on the just-right guitar.
Damn mark absolute killer playing on a radical guitar. Please play some Rory Gallagher 🤘 Rock on
Norm’s stash is awesome 👏
Damn Yousician ads.
Love that guitar, man.
Fucking great set list
The verdict is in. Red Gibsons rock.
Them es guitars are the shit.
Just enough twang and lots of bluesy rock n roll goodness.
Love the guitar. Love the amp!!! Hate not having any money!!
Lovely. Non original truss rod cover though and the stop tail looks new too, the colour has worn off mine. They do sound wicked.
The thrill can't be gone with a tone like that.
You know who else said that scene from "back to the future" inspired him to pick up a guitar?
John Mayer.
carrickbender i think everyone who watched Back to the Future as a kid went with some Chuck Berry, a cherry red Gibson and a little country boy named Johnny B Goode
That Guitar Is killer!
BEAUTIFUL GUITAR AND PLAYING - That thing rocks. Great playing - sometimes you can really kick it to 11. Hey, tomorrow is not my birthday! Do an air guitar! Regards, Green
Come on, Mark! I love ES guitars as much as anyone, but I liked it better when it was Weird-ass Wednesday. Let's bring it back! :)
The Man With No Name Nah.
#keepdaESinwednesday
Eh...lol!
The Man With No Name But...but I like ES Wednesday...
Me too, but Weird-ass Wednesday has it's great moments too. Mark Could do both, you know. Like one week is about ES guitars, the next about the weirder stuff. Splitting it up like that would be pretty cool in my humble opinion.
Mark got some good tone today ;)
It's my Birthday tomorrow! I'm turning 17 and I watch every day. Can you play some Wilco this week please please please??
That's my dream machine right three
