I'm surprised there were no visible roots after 10 years in the small pot, why was this? I like the compact growth habit and I'm hoping to achieve something similar.
2:25 failed. Nothing at the bottom of the pot please! That hole is sufficient and won’t clog. What you did here will cause root rot and eventually will kill the tree 😢
A fabulous video especially as I’m thinking about buying a pear tree & such gorgeous blossom 😊

I was surprised to about the roots, so hoping more will grow into the new compost. Martin
What do you fertilize it with?
Either a slow release fertiliser or blood, fish & bone. Just once a year as the tree starts into growth. Martin
Do you get fruit off this tree
Yes we get pears on it.
After 12 years your reh-potting..??
It was very potbound and needed a new lease of life.
@@PotsTrowels I'm suprised it was still alive .....I thought they only last for about 5 years pal lol
