That was cool, well presented and pleasant to watch! Keep going!
By the way, the novitiate do not win faith point by specialist : to gain these points, it means the novitiate is at least level 1 specialist (gained at least 6xp) during a narrative campaign.
About the plasma grenade and blast rule : as the range is always 2" for blast, the only rule which could avoid the second target from being valid is if it is not visible from main target. And in your case, they where visible from each other, whatever the terrain between the two operatives (remind : 2" is point blank shoot, meaning that there is no cover or masked).

If say faith points I am referring to Acts of Faith.
While the mission we played was a narrative one, we were not using any of the narrative campaign rules for taking experience or upgrades.
      ACTS OF FAITH
Keep a pool of Faith points. At the start of each Turning Point, if there are any friendly NOVITIATE operatives in the kill zone, you gain 3 Faith points. In addition, you gain one Faith point at the end of an activation, if any of the following apply:
      - During that activation, a friendly NOVITIATE operative with the Combat specialism incapacitated an enemy operative in a combat.
      - During that activation, a friendly NOVITIATE operative with the Marksman specialism incapacitated an enemy operative with a shooting attack.
-During that activation, a friendly NOVITIATE operative with the Staunch specialism performed a mission action.
-A friendly NOVITIATE operative with the Scout specialism was activated and finished that activation within of the enemy drop zone.

Well done on the battle report. There were some rules errors, but those have already been covered. It looks like this video debuted 6 months ago, but if you feel like doing more Kill Team content, I’d be interested!

Glad you liked it, yes we try to sprinkle in some variety amongst our regular content, and kill team is part of that!

Enjoyed it but you’ve got the Fusion pistol wrong! At 32 mins, a crit and two hits were rolled. That’s 3 immediate mortal wounds. A crit save was then rolled. The damage profile is 5/3, so he should chose to save a normal hit, for a total of 11 damage.

Kill Team is so fun, alternating activations make it so much more engaging. There are so many rules to it though:
    1) in the Into The Dark narrative campaign, since it is the early stages of exploration, you do not setup barricades.
    2) For at least the last couple years, setup has been you each split your team into 1/3 as evenly as possible and alternate deployment; this makes it far less punishing for the defender.
    3) Hold the Line must be revealed in the reveal tac ops phase any time after the first turning point.
What was the idea of not scoring the objectives as the Corsairs? The guy at 8:08 could have light fingered and then the Felarch had a spare action point and didnt suck any oxygen at 10:50? Corsairs are a glass cannon team that often get tabled, so you want to score as many points as you can as fast as you can before you all die.
12:13 would have been a great time to use Blinding Aura.
12:30 Shuriken pistol has rending, so 3 crits one normal.

Thanks for all the great tips and pointers. Kill Team is indeed very fun but we unfortunately don't play it terribly often, but every time we do get a game in it's a great time. Thanks for putting up with a couple noobs 😜

@@bignerdswargaming Yeah if we don't play for a month, we almost have to relearn the game! That, and the balance dataslate and errata keep changing.

22:00 you can shoot a heavy weapon after a dash, just not a normal move. As a bizarre piece of errata, you can move with a heavy weapon and gaurd, even though you can't shoot and gaurd is a shoot action.

You can move in 1-inch increments, rounding to the next whole inch, you don't have to move in 2s. At 30:00 the Dialogus could have either given someone visible within 6" an APL or gone on guard.
