This song has been one of my all time favorites since I was a toddler. When I was a sophomore in highschool, we had an English project where we had to find an advertisement or song with a deep meaning and give a report on it. I chose this song and I got an A+ on the project.
Yeah. I was at our family's beach house on vacation one year when I first heard it..along with the BYOB song by System of the Down which also came out that day for the first time..and for some reason the station the two songs were on would only play those two songs back to back..but I didn't care..no matter how many times I heard this song that one day I never got tired of it^^ And still to this very day I enjoy it as much as I did the day I first heard it. And I like the BYOB song by System of the Down too as well.
This song helped me move on from many hard chapters in my life. From being beaten by my mom's ex, to being bullied at school, to losing my best friend to suicide five years ago, my grandpa two years ago from the same cause, and many many bad breakups

It might be ironic to say that this song brings me back to eighth grade. When I hear it, it hits me so hard with nostalgia that I only want to go back, but the ironic thing is, is that the meaning of this song is to go forward with your life, because you will surely find excitement in the future. The message is really strong for me.

This year had been fantastic for me. I've moved cross-country, made friends, done some dumb things, done some fun things, and have actually felt like a real teenager. This year, there have been a total of three days that I count as some of the best in my life, yesterday being one of them. Today, I felt like this.
