Dream truck. They should never have stopped making this.
Exactly why I can’t get rid of my ‘04 (Gertrude) I found in ‘11 with 116 k on her!! #nv5600 🤘. Can tow the WORLD 😉
@@brandontormaschy6977 I just bought a 04 about 10 months ago with 70k on it. Really love it too.
Go get one!
Why not?
They stop, skip a few years and bring it back as a 10k option and people pay it.
@@brandontormaschy6977 then ya shoulda bought one. Lead engineer even admitted on camera the reason they stopped making them was lack of demand.
"Optimized stock look" I 100% agree. What a beauty. Very subtle, but I love it.
That’s my favorite look, personally.
Agreed! Too bad they don't come from the factory like this.
Dude I thought I was the only guy that liked how things looked stock just beefier, like bigger tires on stock rims and stuff like that!
Agreed!
Yea, I like the look also. I just bought one almost exactly the same as this truck except black forest green pearl. It's completely stock with 12k miles. Plan to put 35 Nitto Grappers on the stock wheels. An extang bed cover and carli suspension level kit. At some point upgrade the clutch to a south bend, but thats about it. Absolutely beautiful truck.
Can't go wrong with a 6-7 Cummins straight pipe 6-speed manual
Accept if you two alot you need to head stud them.

What's a 6.7 Cummins straight pipe? I've heard of a 6.7L straight-6 Cummins diesel engine.

What I heard in the video is that the EGR and DPF fell off the truck. 🤷♂️
Nobody would hate that truck
It is everyone’s dream truck and I’m a ford man but I would have it in a heart beat 😍😍👍👍
Sorry, a Mexican-made Fiat isn't my dream truck. Stick a Cummins in a Super Duty and I'll be interested. Until then the 6.7 PSD is just fine.
Supa Doopa best vehicles I've ever owned were made in Mexico. Worst vehicles I've owned were built in Kentucky and Michigan (my current longhorn and 2015 f150). And the UAW can't understand why they're moving production to Mexico!!

Ram needs the bring back the 6 speed manual
If we'd have bought them at a higher rate than 4%, they would never have stopped. The manual, in all but cars, is all but dead and gone forever (hold on Gladiator and Tacoma, you're all that's left).
@@freedomrider266 I'm looking at getting a gladiator for the manual specifically.
They just need to bring manuals back in general...

Nice ride, love the manual in an era of the idiot proof paddle shift.
I seriously need to learn to drive manual. What's the best way to learn?
@@badger3184 you learn the basic principles of how a manual transmission works, then get in one and start playing with it - no other way :D
@Luis Bolanos It's better for offroading? Don't you have to slip the clutch like crazy to not stall the engine when crawling?
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566 from people in the know ( 4x4 channels). Automatic is easier off road but manual is more fun.
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566 Not in a Cummins paired with the manual. 1st gear is a granny gear and with the power of the Cummins it's damn near impossible to stall. Putting it in 4X4 low in 1st has neck snapping torque and makes you feel like your Chuck Norris driving an Abram tank.
Now that all the EPA-mandated garbage is GONE, that truck will consume far less fuel which is beneficial for the environment and it'll last much longer which is beneficial for the owner and the environment. I'm jealous.
22% fuel savings after I had a full delete and towing tune done on my 2018 5500 a year ago. Lost the factory warranty though. My 2500 with G56 tranny will be done at the 1st sign of EGR/sensor troubles.
Clearly you've never heard of carcinogens....They're really harmful to humans, and they come out of non-DEF diesels!!!
@HalfShell You can get better performance, and better fuel mileage with the EGR and exhaust delete, however emissions do suffer significantly. Your NOx , CO, CO2, and HC ratings increase dramatically without the DPF, oxidation catalyst, SCR, EGR, etc. The engine does perform better (MPG, HP, and torque) however without them. Not good environmentally however.
Also technically what he did is very much so illegal. It doesn't matter if the county doesn't perform emissions testing because it's a nation wide regulation. They can incur fines no matter what county they are in if they modify the emissions system on any vehicle. It's just extremely unlikely that they will get caught. Usually someone has to rat them out for anyone to do anything about it.
You have to stop telling everyone the way around emission testing or that certain places don't have it you are going to ruin it for us all
lol, You really think it's a secret?
Its not a secret people in your distric vote this stuff in because they all feel like this guy.
Osman Parvez yawn
If you want to know the real history around here in Northern Colorado, There's a town called Fort Collins which is a big college town, well it has a kind of fancy old town area with a bunch of restaurants and shopping areas with outside seating and lots of foot traffic. Back 2005 ish to present ish times all of the college kids with big diesel trucks thought it would be a good idea to make it a tradition to race up and down the roads going through town and blow smoke on everyone trying to enjoy their evenings. Those are the people that are ruining emissions because now you have all these higher middle class families complaining that their evenings were ruined and then all of the rich businesses owners are mad that their customers are mad which means they don't make as much money. So all of those people start voting for change to happen which spreads county wide. There's also been deaths and bad accidents from people dying when racing up and down the streets which doesn't help. Weld County however which borders whatever county Fort Collins is in pretty much is just a bunch of empty land. But everyone out here drives big diesel trucks and most of them are deleted it's not a secret, the fact is I'm pretty sure it's an un-incorporated county which means lower taxes and lower restrictions on what can and can't happen. Until big towns start springing up here and big corporations move in they're not changing our rules.
In this country it's money, connections and money that leads to corruption and dumb laws. Plus, even if they tried no one out here is giving up their deleted trucks lol. But you can blame the stupid people blowing smoke out of their trucks for ruining it, people out here are smart enough to run clean burning diesels to not piss people off.
@@dedalliance1 "black smoke " happens to be a byproduct of making power . I dont think people do it to piss people off. I dont , I just not fond of driving around with 220hp with a 8000lbs truck. Take that into context thats the same as driving a 85hp honda. You can barley go highway speed. I guess people are happier seeing their emissions. You 69 nova is just as bad as my cummins.
I totally dig your truck. I have a an '05 manual 5.9 with no power options (windows, locks etc.) and I love how it's super simple and old school. Same color but bone stock .Funny thing, I have the same color. It's a great truck.
That's a hell of a keeper truck! You picked the right one young man, now enjoy it.
Oh no don't say where you got the tunes, epa is hunting them
@R AJ he should trade it in for a used 2019 Duramax/Alliston. My brother has a 2019 Chevy 2500 high country with a delete and it already has 50,000 kilometers (in Canada so we go by the metric scale) as he uses it for long haul towing across Canada putting a ton of kilometers on it. He has not had a single issue with it besides regular maintenance. Like a Rock!
@R AJ that's his own fault for modding a truck under warranty
@ Tony Stone - EXACTLY!
Tony Stone He said his tune shop was in Canada. EPA ain’t goin that far to save the environment lol.
I modded my 18 with 20k miles on it runs fine but he should have waited til more tunes came out for 19-20 models
I would like to strongly ask TFLT to blur the plate, and censor the name where he got tuning done. There may be a future knock on this mans door.
Keep liking this comment, they seriously need to protect this man from turning his life upside down.
Then this man should STOP doing illegal things, don't you think?
No
Connor, (like you'll ever read this) you've got great taste keeping those wheels stock, the exhaust modest, the tires reasonable (looks of a mudder are sorta silly) and in general the overall modesty of the truck. Great job. I love it. Oh, and the trans is the most tasteful aspect, of course. Cheers.
Please you guys should do an Ike gauntlet with the Chevy suburban, Ford Expedition and Toyota Sequoia that would be awesome

Why did he have to replace the clutch? My Ram Cummins has the 6 speed manual and is closing in on 300,000 miles! Nearly half of that pulling up to 12,000 pounds of gooseneck! Clutch is still perfect! I bought it specifically for trailer towing, and since it appears the manual is no longer available I most likely will keep it! For those who wonder about fuel economy, running empty it gets between 21-22 MPG. Towing 16-18 MPG.

All cruise and cargo ships should have an EPA mandate requiring them to have emissions equipment on them, regardless of their registration country. They pollute more than any semi or diesel truck on the road.

Ram said they killed the manual because nobody buys them. I'm calling bullshit. I looked for a new one in '18 and every single dealer I called told me the same thing... "Every time we get one, it sells the same day".
You couldn't order one?
I had the same issue finding three pedals at the other end of the size scale (Honda Fit). I envy Conor his sunroof (especially now), I'd have sprung for one but they dropped the EX M/T for 2020 and they're not worth buying used
You cannot find a new Cummins in Texas that has a standard transmission...
And I don't know of anyone, short of old people, that want an automatic behind a Cummins
Dealerships don't choose to buy them. Its not like there was a limit on manual transmissions.
I had a 2500 Cummins as my forever truck.....until the cab mounts rusted off the frame. Truck looked great but it's the things you can't see that get ya. Couldn't figure out why the passenger door was so hard to close, especially when it was never used. No cab mounts tend to distort the geometry of the cab. Good luck with this, it's a sweet truck, hope it is your forever truck. You buy the Cummins and the truck comes with it.

Like the diesel with the 6 speed and the tune. Looks good. Did you do any re-calibration of the speedometer with the larger tires? I like larger tires; however, I also like getting the speedometer calibrated to match the larger tires which can be difficult.
Not re-calibrating the speedometer throws everything off (speedometer, odometer, mpg calculations, etc.).
If Ram quality doesn't finish you off the horrible dealer service will.
Avoid dealer and DIY everything.
Anyone relying on dealer service is getting what's coming to them. I'm sure after 50k miles they will tell you a control arm is bent and it's cheaper to buy a new truck.
I really miss my aev g56 deleted ram. The exhaust brake with the manual was so effective, so effective that it would wear my rear tires 3x faster than the fronts. Tire rotation had to be done every 3k miles

Your title literally makes no sense. "Dude I love or hate my new ride" is not grammatically correct nor does it make any sense. There's not even any punctuation for me to determine how the sentence is laid out.
can’t tell if you’re joking or not
He was wrong. Just because they don't enforce the emissions in your county does not mean it is legal to remove all the emissions control on your truck. First clue to Law Enforcement you removed it, is the black smoke coming from your exhaust. Not very smart.
Calm down girlfriend! It will be ok.
Hmmm... legal delete? Just because that county doesn’t require emissions testing does not make the delete legal. Federal laws still apply and are expensive if you get caught. Up to $10k in fines and impound your rig.
Very nice truck, but it amazes me you are willing to advertise to the world that you are committing a federal crime. Just because your county doesn't require emissions testing doesn't mean you are legally allowed to remove your emissions systems. Tampering of the required emissions systems is still a violation of the law. Ask Diesel Bro's about posting all over the internet that they tampered with emissions systems. Again, sweet truck but if I were I would have this video deleted as soon as possible unless you want the EPA coming for you.

The Cummins is the best diesel out there.
Sad day when they stopped offering the 6 speed manual! Maybe it will make a return some year.
I hate to be the one to ruin the goo goo eyed plethora of overwhelming love for this configuration of truck, but here is my experience....... I will start by saying I use a truck in its stock form, I'm not into blowing an additional 10-15k on an already 60k truck just to say I have it or look cool or what ever the reason may be for people doing these mods. It is about money and I care nothing about anything other than total cost of ownership, period. I have a meticulous maintenance schedule that I adhere too since I use the truck for work it must be reliable. In march of 2018 I purchased a 2018 Ram 2500 with 6.7 and the manual 6 speed trans. The truck had 42 miles on it when I climbed in it to drive back 200 miles home. Fifteen minutes into the trip I went to adjust the radio know and it came off and sprung into the back seat leaving me with a blaring radio and no way to control it. It was after six and the dealership was already closed, so I just took it home. Went to my local dealer the next day and 3 weeks later I had a new radio. Over the next 6 months I had a laundry list of repairs ranging from fuel filler neck and valve to turbo sensors to steering shafts ect ect. I took the truck on a 1000 mile trip in the summer of 2018 pulling a 4500lb trailer. The entire trip the truck ran 219 degrees with the fan kicking on and off constantly and got 11 mpg running 72 mph. This in my mind was completely unexceptionable so I took it back into the dealer when I got back only for them to tell me this was normal for this truck. I pretty much knew that was going to be the answer and on average the truck would get 16 mpg, so weighing out my options on trading and keeping at this time, I decided to stay in the seat for a while longer. At this point I was back using my old 2014 Diesel Chevy with 200k to pull with due to the fact it ran cool and got better mileage while pulling. Thank God I kept my old truck instead of selling it right away because in October of 2018 with 32 k miles the Ram shells the flywheel with no warning. When I got to the dealership they informed me there was an updated flywheel due to the frequency of this issue on these trucks. However, the service writer told me if it was him he would pay extra and buy and after market because even the update flywheel wasn't that great. I told him no just put the same version back in it and walked out the door. I drove home found another brand new (not Ram) truck online and bought it over the phone. I sold the Ram to a dealer a week later and never looked back. Yeah I think the truck was cool in theory and my intention for buying it was due to the fact that I had a automatic Dodge diesel and had issues with it but at the end of the day things don't always work out as expected. The 2019 truck I replace it with has been fine and does everything I need it to. I know this isn't what most people that love these trucks want to hear, but its my story and hope it was informative.
Derek Williamson thanks for your honesty and real story. People always get “hype” over these types of deals but need to hear both sides for a dose of reality.
I am looking for a truck just like this one . I am jealous.
Nice truck
I had a 2001 gasoline Ram 1500 off road. I was looking at all the HD upgrades for off roading / overlanding. It didn't take long to realize.... Ram already made a truck like that....all HD parts from the factory ! DUH ! So I traded it in for a new 2003 Ram CTD, 2500, 6-speed manual, with 4:11 factory gears, that I planned to use sort of like a 1500, and again, knowing all parts were HD. I Tweeked the suspension with some VR springs and tuned shocks, stock wheels and 37x12.50's, and built it a little more from there. NO engine or exhaust mods to keep it legit (it didn't have much smog stuff on it anyway......03 before they smothered it). It is my forever truck. Still going strong in 2020 with 135,000 miles on it. I've never felt underpowered leaving it stock. Great all around on/off road super capable truck.
Cummins + 6 speed manual trans = Bulletproof truck that’ll basically last you forever
That tranny not bullet proof if he is REALLY making 1100 lb ft its toast sooner than you think. Thers a reason the manual is 350/660 close in hp to the autos but not torque. The nv5600 was stronger
Well, everyone is saying that this will be a "forever" truck, but you have to think about electronics. Sure, it has a Cummins and a manual transmission, but it's a common rail Cummins, not a 12v, and a lot of other electronics, so in 30 years, will see (I hope so), maybe there will be a standalone common rail system to rescue it.
I loved this review! But did he say anything about mpg? Just curious.
Mine with the Cummins and the 6 speed manual averages between 21-22 MPG! With trailer, up to 12,000 lbs, it averages 16-18 MPG.
Ron Fillmore holy crap! Just ordered a 2020 Raptor but was considering one of these since I haven't put down a deposit. That's pretty practical
6-speed manual Cummins Dodges are rare. I went looking for one last year, and did a nationwide search for a 3500 single rear wheel 2wd diesel manual. Autotrader came up with a grand total of two. One was in Tennessee, but it was a standard cab. The other truck was an extended cab. I drove to Missouri, test drove it, and bought it on the spot.
Just hope the EPA doesn't see this video.

The EPA has been coming down hard on these shops that do deletes and tunes. I don’t know if you haven’t heard yet or what but go look up the videos of all these truck owners talking about it. It used to be majorly unenforced but recently they’ve been shutting shops down and fining people left and right.

That is just a Damn nice truck. Unfortunately I can't get away with a delete in Arizona unless I have somewhere outside of Maricopa county to register the vehicle.
At anytime, a law enforcement officer may inspect your truck for emmisions equipment compliance. While not enforced through the vehicle registration process every where. It is the law, and officers do enforce the law at any time.

Yours the truck with the international 6 or 6.4 liter diesel. With that International motor you can find those trucks all over 4 less than 10,000 because they need $10,000 worth of motor upgrades so says the guy in Georgia. Next truck might be a Ford Powerstroke just because I haven't had one. The best part of the HD diesel trucks is they keep their value.
Literally the perfect truck. Coming from a ford fan
I LOVE the manual tansmission.Beautiful truck..Dont need heated seats, sun roof leather ..but DELETE these cummins
I love that ram still offered a manual trans on these. Probably my favorite thing about them
This is a repeat. I remember watching this video around a year ago. Still a nice truck tho'.
“My forever truck” if you can keep the Dodge rust under control. Just saying...
TheMentch171 I don’t think He will have that problem that’s mainly a problem in the salt belt of America No probs with rust being in the south and even so he lives in a colder state as long as he keeps that underbody cleaned fairly good he should have zero problems
Fluid film dude, fluid film.
Always wanted to see a 30k tow off with auto vs manual cummins on the ike
Sorry bro, no part of anything you said is accurate. From the HP to the legalities of deleting. To bad you guys showed his plate and name. The sniffers are coming for you.
Sniffers..?
The truck looks like trash, but the specs are divine
"It's perfectly legal" to remove all the emissions from your truck? Ummm okay hipster. Bring your dads truck back and get your Jetta out of the driveway it's leaving oil spots!
Not according to the epa. I think he is confusing legal with not enforced.
ok boomer
Someone may be jealous?
Perfectly legal to remove it, you just can’t drive it.
Nice truck wish I my 02 came with a manual can't even run it cause EPA regulations won't allow me to sadly
Thanks for not running around with trailer mirrors up all the time lol
Douche mode engaged
bradshouseful I bet you have a pair of white sunglasses a 1776 shirt and a monster/Fox sticker on your 2003 ford ranger single cab long bed with no AC and manual windows.
Would hate to be sitting in the front middle seat because you would be getting elbowed in the crotch ever 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6 shift.
1st gear is rarely used. But you're right
Looks pretty normal till he deleted the egr and dpf lol i approve but good luck with all the tickets that why i drive a 5.9 24 valve from 2000 5 speed ;)
Pretty soon those old non emission trucks will be worth as much as the new ones with these new laws.
@@Zach-ju5vi they almost already are. Check autotrader. 4x4 diesel with 100k from early 2000 almost worth their original MSRP
I am all for making trucks more reliable and powerful, but this is 100% illegal. This guy could be in for some hefty fines.
Talk about being selfish too.. he gets to save a few bucks while f*** up the air for the rest of us.
Listen I was going to throw some bad words to you but I won’t. That being stated unfortunately when you have all the emissions on these trucks they burn tons of fuel which become counterproductive. When you delete them the mpg can be 10mpg plus. It runs better and cleaner. I’m all for the environment, however this the best bet for this truck.
cacaroto god this truck with no emissions on it is still less of a pollutant than any gas burning car so why are you so angry
Manual yes this is amazing this is for real MAN
Hahaha I agree 100%
I agree
you can't text and drive this truck. manual trucks can save lives. every car needs manual transmission
you can still text once you hit a wide open stretch where you don't need to shift.
The FEDS just fined Diesel Brothers in Utah 800k
Nice truck. What's the payload? All the numbers in the world mean nothing if you don't have the payload capacity to support it.
Damn can I get the Power Wagon with a Manual transmission??? That would be Sweet..
No
I have one of the last 2018 Ram Megacab manual transmissions every built. Bought it new fully loaded.
There still out there
"Perfectly Legal"🙈🙉🙊
