The keychain wristlets twist because of the direction they're sewn. I think you have to sew each side from the same direction. Meaning, if you're sewing down one side, across the bottom, and back up the other side (making a U shape), it will twist.
Exactly this! I make handbags and when I first started out, I would go down one side of the bag strap topstitching turn the corner and go back up the other side, they always would twist. A woman in one of my sewing groups told me they had to be sewn in the same direction..sure enough, no more twisting. :)
@@alikay57 fellow bag maker here. 😊
@@renfairegoddess thank you for this comment! I never knew this!
Hi from the US! Been watching you for a few months now and your work ethic is always so inspiring! Don’t worry about sharing things until you’re ready, you don’t owe your audience anything. Take care of yourself and the rest will follow ❤
I don’t use glue on my wristlets. And instead of using interfacing I used craft felt as it’s thicker. By using this I didn’t need the glue. And after a year of making and selling them I’ve never had anyone complain of them breaking or coming apart 😊
That’s great to know thank you! 🥰
@@TaylahRose hi Taylah, so what works for me is to put the clasp in the tool and than snap it on the fabric it also makes it straight just a quick tip.
I am 60 years old and you inspire me everytime I watch your videos. Keep up the great work 😊
I’ve been sewing since I was seven years old and now I’m almost 50. I love to see people your age using a sewing machine and your brain.
I have to say Taylah, I find your dedication, honesty and work ethic so wonderful. Like others here, I watch while working in my 'she-room' and love to watch your progress. Love from a Gran in Adelaide xx
It’s crazy how much you’re always able to get done! make sure to look after yourself too though lovely ❤
I love these videos 😊. They keep me "company" when I am alone in my craft room.
Same here! I’ve actually been more motivated because of her videos!!!
Whatever is going on, remember that this too shall pass. There will be better days ahead 🌻
Been watching you for a while now. I really enjoy your vlogs. Please be careful not to stretch yourself too thin. (a Southern expression meaning trying to do too many things and wearing yourself out.) Or, as my grandmother use to say "It is hard to catch one chicken when you are chasing ten." lol. Hope my "Southern Wisdom" means something to you. I worry you are working too hard. Have some fun! You are only young once. Advice from an older fan in Mobile, Al USA
For better results, remove the key ring from the fob. You add it back when done. Without the key ring, the fob will fit better into the plyers. I like to use the plyers to squeeze the fob together just a little bit. When you put your fabric into the fob, try to tuck the fabric all the way in and pressed onto the spikes. Now you can slip the entire thing into your plyers. You only want to use the plyers with the top end of the fob into the plyers. Don't squeeze on the sides. You will dent the fob too much. Once it's secure, add the key ring back on. I make tons of these with vinyl.
Omg i missed your videos.... Just 30min back I went to your channel to see if i missed an upload...didnt see a new one...so watched one of your old one...😄
Thanks so much 🥹💓💓

Love that scrunchie stamp. It’s adorable. Loyalty cards is a great idea. I also like your rationale for implementing them.
41:26 Only share what you feel comfortable sharing. That’s the blessing of control your content. Things are difficult for all of us right now but you’re doing an amazing job regardless. This too shall pass love, all the good add all the bad. We just have to be grateful for what we have good and bad and take what we need to learn from them… much love dear
When I saw that part I’m like that was random and kinda lost what she said. But when you mention it. Got it.
From crafter to crafter. Get something you can use to sit your glue bottle in to keep it tipped or upside down it helps with the flow❤.
Hi Taylah. I got my order from you today and I am so, so happy with it. I have binged watched so many of your videos, so it was such a delight to see my package arrive packed and sealed just as beautifully as you do in your videos. Thank you so much for being so awesome! ~ Jeanne
I went to sleep 20 minutes before this upload! But I got to watch it as soon as I woke up 😊 You're amazing. Never doubt that ❤️
Taylah honey, I'm easily old enough to be your mom. I love your videos and your energy and drive are an inspiration. Try to remember that into everyone's path some crap falls....how you handle it is the important part. (And, yes that can include some therapeutic tears before picking yourself up and dusting yourself off to fight another day.)
I make these wristlets and I use a good interfacing which makes them stronger
You may not be a fan of antique brass, but are some of your customers fans of that color? I like it because it’s not shiny. I prefer it over regular brass. It’s a good color for zippers.
Just consider this slow market as PRACTICE. You will really show off at the next one since you are all through with the practice run. You got this one, girl!
Love all of your videos! I always have them on repeat whilst making stock ❤
I use E6000 for jewelry, and it's the best glue 😌
I love the metal Keychain closures, but where can I find then. Such a pretty change from a plan one color closure.
You have really got your business down to a science. Great job. This 70 year old is envious 😃
Love your videos! They are so fun to watch! Isn’t it so rewarding to get so much accomplished? I love that feeling. You should be so proud of yourself!
Whatever it is Taylah, time will heal. You do not owe any of us an explanation. You have inspired me to start my own side hustle. I am excited to start and I wish you the very best!
Taylah I have been watching your videos for two years now. You are such an inspiration that I started sewing :)
I like using the E6000 glue that has tips on them. I think it is easier to control the glue on where to go on the key fob clamps.
Take care of yourself!
Hey Tsylah. Have you thought about mystery monthly boxes to help use up some inventory? Love your vides
Right now everyone is off the computer doing Spring cleaning and starting gardens advertise in the evenings see if that helps. Usually markets, and home and garden shows is your best seller right now something they can see hands-on.hope this helps hun. I’m in the same boat lol
its Autumn in Australia :)
I had watched a few people who also made what you have put together last week. Along with taking my scraps and making pacifier clips out of them. So that will be my next project. Keep up the great work.
Hello Tylah, your business is a good idea.. thats makes me inspire and to start a new business.. i hope i can make it. Keep doing inspire people and also your work is very neat. I admire it. More blessings to come Tylah. ☺️
Im gonna continue watching your videos ☺️
Sincerely admire
Joh from Philippines 😘
The scrunchie wristlets are soo cute! I'd love to have a few 😄
The little cards are good. Bit like a business card. Very cool.
Oh Taylah....I love you so much. Sending you hugs from the states. I've been watching/following you for a long long time and you're what inspired me to keep going on my small biz! We've talked a bit on IG and you're always so kind. Keep going!
Hello gorgeous,
I love watching your videos as you are so real and so friendly.
I use e6000 glue for jewellery. Hot tip : open the glue and pour some out on a clear plastic bag and close the lid. It will last a lot longer that way and won’t dry out.
Use a toothpick or Icecream stick to add the glue to the fabric and let it dry for a minute or 2. If you take the keyring part off it will be easier to close ❤
Taylah: I just got E6000 for the first time!
Me: Yay, I love that stuff!
Taylah: Uugghhh! It’s going everywhere!
Me: Yeah, it does that…..
Yay, always love watching your videos!
To keep elastic from twisting simply stretch band, find middle and stitch across all layers, like one would do in an elastic waistband.
I have never seen a single person do this, but I learned that sewing straighter is much easier when I have my left hand in front of my machine (guiding the material to the needle), and my right hand through the back to keep it straight. I realize that might seem dangerous to some people but it’s really not. I never wear sleeves when sewing and I’ve done this for 15 years.
Also, I am a lefty. So I do tend to do things odd compared to most.
I have started using the Quilters Select rotary blade....it is like cutting butter. Not cheap but sooooo worth it. For all the cutting you do, you will love it.
Hi Taylah happy Thursday night and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Thanks so much for your continued support 🥰
@@TaylahRose your welcome sending you hugs ❤️ 🤗
Just placed my first order cant wait I’m so excited :)
Hi Taylah, I’m a long time watcher and just wanted to send big hugs your way xx ps love your new products!
Hi, I just wanted to say your doing a fantastic job. I love your videos so informative and inspiring. Keep up the good work you’ve got this. 🙌
You were saying about the images coming out blue on your camera, you just need to change the white balance setting ❤
Time to get an electric rotary cutter. The place you bought your industrial sewing machine at probably sells them. As for your wristlets, you might want to try putting an appropriate interfacing to help give it a little more body so they aren’t as floppy.
Key to sewing straight is not pulling or pushing your fabric. Just guide and let the machine do its job. 😉❤
I love the scrunchie wristlet. I prefer the wristlets to be more floppy. Great video xx
It will be easier to clamp your hardware for your keychain if you remove the ring first, and reattach it after you clamp your hardware.
Hi Taylah, longtime fan here. I have to say I admire what you do and give you mad props for having such a strong work ethic. You inspire me to want to do more.
Have a question for you, have you always had the Juki? Would you recommend it over other brands? Is the maintenance about the same as the other sewing machines?
Also, how were you able to get your tags so small? That is so cute!!
I absolutely love watching your videos! You are such an inspiration. I want to start making keychain scrunchies and scrunchies. What are the dimensions of fabric you use for the keychain scrunchies? Also I love the keychain part that you use (kind of the clasp part). Where in the world do you get those from. I have been trying to look everywhere lol.
You can overheat interfacing then it will warp your fabric, try a little less ironing see if it helps 😊
If I may suggest, you may need to pinch your tube in between your thumb and point finger so it won't drip out. (I hope that helps)
Get the tips for the E6000... Much easier to manage. Large tubes available online for very reasonable price.
Have you ever thought of getting an electric fabric cutter? That may help take the pressure off your wrists
Ok... I do a melted shampoo bar. And once molded they only loose around. .5 ounce of weight. So great video. But mostly for those that press their bars and not melt their bars.
You could cut up those Tote bag that you didn't want use and place them inside as interface. Could just iron it together and sew or bind them to fabric with wonder web tape. Up cycling idea 😝
If you take the rings off, it's easier to squish the clasps together :)
Hi Taylah Rose, I've watched several of your videos and I'm just amazed at how well you do , hat off to you! I hope you don't mind me asking. I'm fairly new to sewing. I tried making a scrunchie, but I found the tucking in the fabric before sewing it across super fiddly. Took me ages and some of the seem was on the outside, some of it on the inside, what have I done wrong? Do you square up your fabric before cutting? Would love to have some feedback, many thanks
I only use quality blades in my cutter. That might be your problem.
Oh I love this video 😍
I don’t use glue on my wristlets and don’t have a problem. The Scrunchie ones are popular at markets.
My Etsys been dire this year 😭😭
Hi first time watching your video. Really love your sewing machine so please share information about it if you don't mind. Good luck with your company
She has a video of her purchasing it 😊
I do pull out the ring before u clip it,n put it back.well that way easier for me to do it
I wonder if you could use webbing in the wristlets. The stuff you’d have on backpack straps.
I use the E6000 for my wristlets. I haven’t had any come out with or without the glue, but I like to glue it just to help ensure they don’t come apart! You don’t need much at all though. I also slightly “pre-clamp” my fob hardware to make it easier to get onto the wristlet. ❤
You definitely need to have their name on the card.
Try using Pellon craft fuse for the key fobs.
Hi! Yay, new video! ❤
Hope you enjoyed it!
Don’t waste your time with glue, it’s not worth it, just get a good interfacing and make sure the prongs go through the fabric when you close it, once you figure it out there really easy
Wow you are amazing. I wish I could have more of your qualities.
Might want to play with thread tension to avoid the twisting and ironing step.
Take care of yourself, don’t worry about an explanation…we love you and understand what happened…we’ve all been there before…just know life will get brighter again❤❤❤
Yay thank you for posting. I miss you when you’re not on here!
Brilliant video as always!! You are truly am inspiring young women.... now if you don't mind could I use your measurements for the wristlets as I think they will be a good sell for me.
Kind regards
Heidi 😊
I have to laugh at people saying you don't sew straight 😹 i recon your pretty good! But I love using a magnetic guide when I just wanna chill out and not stress about being straight! Might be a great option for you! Cheap as from spotlight 🙌
Hey! How do you measure out how long the fabric is you are cutting do you cut it to the length or do you buy standard sized material you know how long it is x
how often do you need to refill your scrunchie wall? it seems like it would be about every other week when you have a launch
HI Taylah where do you get your fabric labels from and the size that you use.
🎉
I love your job ! But I couldn't find a video where you say the measurements of your scrounchis and the glue I would love for you to share the name and the measurement
How do you know youre cutting the right amount after you folded it?
Where did you get the keychain rings??
My Fiskar cutter does the exact same thing! Eek…I thought it was me (the user) but maybe it’s a fault…? I might take mine back too then….
Liked because I too cannot sew straight
I'm watching this Apr 16 ,2023 are you talking about launching for next Mar?
❤
❤❤
Use a thin cotton or nylon webbing and not stabilize.
You look sad, sending you loads of love, I hope you'll be okay xxx
Can I see how straight it is? So I know where I need to get my sawing to be? Im very knew at sawing
Where from you order your stuff ?
How did the Easter markets go for you???
What are those with metal tops on those strips.whats that
what app are you using to mass edit your photos on ipad? love your vids btw!
I ask you where buy label ?
Hey, what size is your plastic ruler?
😍🥰❤❤❤
U could just sell the fabric you don’t want/need x
What market do you go to?
You don't sew straight? I thought to sell fabric items the seams all had to be almost perfectly straight. 🤯 That's why I hadn't sold anything at a fair cuz my seams be crooked when closing my scrunchies. My family and friends kept saying no one is looking that close. 😔
First here!!!
Thank you!! 💓💓
@@TaylahRose I had commented on some other videos before but don't know if you saw them. I was wondering if I could send you some scrunchies that I make myself, along with an organizer and jean purse. Plus my new lanyards I'm making
That’s so kind of you! I have my P.O. Box in the description of the video I love unboxing items I receive on my UA-cam channel 💓 thanks so much
