Costco not the best price or warranty, limited tire selections and not a good place if you limited on time. Sam's Club has better selection and price but need to paid attention to the installation. First 4 set of tires, Sam's Club didn't replace old tire valve stems (Costco always replace them so far). Second set of 4 tires, they torqued the lug nuts down way too much. Seems like 200 ft-lbs instead of 78. Over torque will destroy the rotors. Costco did it one time cost me over $400 20 years ago. Sam's Club just did it, hope I caught it in time to prevent damages. The trade off, Costco better mechanics, Sam's club better prices in my experience.
Mannn great video, I’m online trying to find the best tires at the lowest prices in Houston & I stumble across this awesome video from KPRC2 Houston, great job! 😎👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
The nice thing about discount tires when it comes to rotation you're in and out in less than 20 minutes. Costco sometimes takes an hour or more for your lucky. Plus discount tires will match any competitor. I took the add once and they matched it on the spot. No questions asked
The best prices for Tires is Burt Brothers, I got 4; 17 inch tires rated: 520 Treadwear, Traction A, Temperature A and a speed rating V for under $500, not kidding!
Michelin #1, but they cost more. Goodyear and Cooper are good, both are from the Goodyear company . I think Cooper may be cheaper though. Mastercraft was another good tire, part of the Cooper company. I tried Nexen, but i don't like them and had to plug or patch them along the way. They're still on my truck now, but i plan to replace them soon. No more Nexen for me. You can get better deals online for tires, but make sure whoever you buy from will back them up, if you have a problem. I have thought about Kumho and Toyo tires. I might put Kumho on my car, and Toyo on my truck. If Toyo don't fit my truck, i may go back with a Cooper brand tire. There are lots of cheap tires to pick from, but a safer tire is your best bet. Some safer tires are reasonable though, but do your research on them though before you buy.
@@Slim1423 Michelin and Bridgestone were on the higher price side but disaporting, lasted under 20K miles mostly stop and go city traffic. General tires didn't expect much as it was cheaper but lasted forever on my mid size truck. My son got me into a set of Kumhos, he likes to race and push cornering to the the limit. Lotus had Kumhos on the race track when it was an unknown brand. Put couple sets of Kumhos on the passenger cars, drove normally didn't notice any difference, OK it was cheaper just as good as the expensive tires.
Alright captain here’s the deal! First off manufacturers set the warranty on the tires not retailers warranty comes with the tires no matter where you buy them! Secondly yes they buy in bulk but not for us it’s the way they make more money it’s the way they keep their doors open remember lots of overhead! Now that warranty question was really an uneducated question do your research! Were done have a great day!
Not accurate. Costco offers Road side hazard that includes free flat repair for 5 years included in the price. They forgot to mention that Sam's club and Costco require paid membership.
Lol 1. No one tried to see if you needed a better tire for how you use your vehicle. 2. Not all installations are equal, some installers do a better job. 3. Waiting time? Is it worth it to save $3 if it takes an hour longer? There is more to it than just price.
You need to understand that corporations have a lot of overhead compared to your local mechanic shops and we pay for it! Order tires on line at wholesale prices have them shipped to your local mechanic and have them installed for less! F a lot of corporations there nothing but expensive middle men!
i buy the tireds at walls smart. they charge a 1 dollar tire fee for each tire if'n youse buy them in their store, but don't charge that fee if'n youse buy them on their website. I goes and buy them in the store because it seemed like they were jerking me around on the in store pickup. They do NOT want to let you have those tires without having them install them. Come up with BS excuses like it's not scanning properly so they can't let me take them.
Discount Tire don’t need advertising, around the corner from my house always busy
Buy tires from a place that moves a lot of inventory. That may help you avoid buying brand-new old tires. Check the date code before buying.
tires are best on tire4coin
Discount Tire Hands Down
I've been driving for over 60 years and I don't think I ever bought tires and didn't fell like I got screwed.

Retailers suck!!
You can buy online cheaper and some give free shipping to your home, or can ship to a tire shop in your area for free.
Why
Have your tires shipped to your local mechanic stay away from big dealerships work with your local shops!
