So glad to hear you like the new intro and look of the channel!
Love it but I've been to scared to ever back a kickstarter campaign
Hey hey again IMDABROWN!
I hear you on the kickstarter campaign pre-sales, especially since Velium isn't a well established company just yet. All I can say is that when they approached me to review these units, it didn't take long for them to send me out the kit for review. So my best guess is that most of the manufacturing is already done and they are just gearing up for the release.
Hi, though we're a new team and MagRota is our first campaign, we've already start mass production and all perks are ready to ship once the campaign ends and we get the shipping details. Rest assured.
Looks a dream come true.
For glares, if I want to use a round sunhood, do they have a way to screw one ?
Hey hey Gabo!
Thank you so much for checking out this video and asking a question!
There is no way to screw on a sunhood. For the time being a French flag is the only way to reduce glare coming from a specific direction. However based on the packaging in my test unit. There seems to be plans of some sort of magnetic hood coming in later releases. Not sure when that will be.

@@TLDR_filmmaker thank you very much!!
O cool! first time hearing of this one.
I've had my sights set on the Freewell VND mist and polarizer magnetic system....
it's about $400 though, so I'm doubting if there's not something else I should go with.
I have an FX3 camera. What would you recommend?
(I don't really care to have these streak lens flare filters. Just need ND and 1/8th mist, and then a polarizer would be a handy bonus.)
Hey hey again Anthony!
Having reviewed the early first production of the Freewell VND system, it's a nice system for sure. The only thing I can say about it is the VND side is quite warm and the mist was pretty overpowering. However this was early first production models, I'm not sure if the newer production models have improved on this.
The Magrota system is nice in that it has the locking system and you can rotate a stack of filters together where as the Freewell you have to swap between the Base ND or Base mist ND depending on what you need. The Magrota letting you add mist instantly over the VND set makes the setup the faster one. Also because you can rotate the VND stage allows you more control over glare should you need it, the freewell VND system won't let you do this easily.
Those are just some of my thoughts between the two systems. The only other VND system I am curious about is the one made by nisi that shows very very little color shift in its VND filters. Add that over a Tiffen Black Pro Mist 1/8 and you'd be in good business. Minus the magnetic abilities. Hope this helps!
do they have some that can cover a 55-72mm thread?
You'll most likely have to use step up rings to adapt to their filter holder to your lenses that are 55-72mm filter thread.
Should I use a difuser panel on my Neewer 660 with a neewer square softbox for talking head indoor videos?
Or should it be just a square softbox? Or just a difuser panel without the softbox? xD
I'm new to this, damn I'm confused, could you please help?
Hey hey Yogg Google!
Thank you so much for checking out this video and asking a question!
In my opinion you don't really need to use the diffuser panel as you loose light output when going through the neewer square softbox. There are other ways to gain more diffusion than the square softbox as I detail in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/ArI16TEKbo8/v-deo.html
Indoor talking head videos is all about controlling your ambient light around the room. If you're able to start in a reasonably dim room than the neewer 660 through diffusion will be more than enough. Hope this helps.
For future reference you do not need to comment on my newest video to get my attention to answer a question. I still answer questions on videos 5 years old as I get notified of every comment.
