Marc, I made this last night for dinner (it was just me dining alone, so like you, I saved half the tare), but instead of ground pork, I used minced king oyster and fresh shiitake mushrooms. I used exactly the same marinade, and it was delicious! I think the mushroom sub worked because the noodles and sauce are the real stars of the dish in my opinion. I think it’ll be my solo dinner again tonight. Thanks for an easy but flavorful recipe.
Thank you so much for that, mate! Very timely! I've had amazing mazesoba, from Menya Hanabi, Misen and Kajiken in Nagoya, to Menya Shono in Tokyo. But we have nothing as such here in Brisbane, and I wanted to share the pleasure with my family (before we have a next chance to have it in Japan). I hope I can get mine somewhat close to this beauty that you prepared. I'd be thrilled! Gambare, ne?
Yay i've been looking into dry ramen as me and my sibling and nieces love ramen but a soupless version is helpful as it's a bit too much for a tummy. so now i'm definitely going to reproduce this simple techinque to put a huge win in my families homemade cooking.
Hell yeah! That's a great lookin' bowl of food, Marc. I love it.
This was beatutiful, man. I can just imagine how good the whole house must smell when you make this dish.
Oh my gosh, I'm salivating lol. This sounds perfect right now.
Oh my gosh. This looks amazing, Marc.
Take care. 🌺
