Dave desperately tried to keep sex out of the conversation, but Howard is pushing it over and over in that creepy sexual direction. In todays age and time the girls' parents would sue the hell out of Howard and maybe even Dave for sexual harassment.
I felt like Dave handled it like a complete gentleman. Howard was absolutely pushing scummy behavior and Dave held up to it. Even tried changing the subject multiple times.
This is how Howard become famous. He wasn't asking the same questions as the other interviewers. He had the audacity to ask gritty questions, to anybody. I remember him asking Dave why he's so in love with Taylor in a later interview.

Everlong had been absolutely underrrated until that day when David had the idea to play it on acoustic. Since this glourious moment it has became such a recognizable classic from all times, and the kind of masterwork that makes kids all around the world be wating to learn to play the guitar.
I remember hearing it on the radio that day on my commute and was just floored. I was really hoping it was included in this interview. The acoustic show in 2006(?) is still, to date, one of the best shows I've ever seen.

In addition, I can really appreciate the way Dave changes the subject to get away from Howard's questions. Dave has his ways of avoiding certain questions without outright stating it. Very diplomatic on his part. He obviously wants to keep his personal life private and I can respect that. Howard is known for being very forward. Not everyone's cup of tea. At least he is exercising his right to free speech whether it's liked or not. Nor is he boring. The Winona Ryder subject was hilarious. Talk about uncomfortable.

My Birthday & Dave’s are the same day‼️ January 14th❗️I was SO HAPPPY When I Found This Out! I honestly couldn’t tell you why except for him being such a good human being & having to deal with a death of 2 Band mates in 2 separate bands.
