I love seeing 3 of them sit next to Steve like he's Dave's grandpa, and they've been hanging out all day and Dave was like "hey man wanna go to my grandpa"
Taylor Hawkins about pro drummers: "You always know when someone's gone to music school, because they don't sweat when they play drums." I like that one, also because it applies to a pro drummer I've known.
Dear God I watched the interview where Dave was imitating Jonesy last night not knowing who jonesy is now just makes it that much more hilarious. Funny shit
I watched Dave as Jonesy last night, and though I know who was Jonesy is, watching this interview now brings it all together. Dave saying “it’s a mineral” over and over again makes sense now. It’s hysterical.
Jonesy's JukeBox is the one interview show where most of the guests are so thrilled to be there they ask Steve all kinds of questions. This is one of my favorite spots of all the them.
Taylor was such a ray of sunshine, wasn't he? RIP beautiful man. Loved listening to Pat. Jonesy is hilarious and has so much history to share. Dave wasn't himself, I think. Still cute as can be though.
Daves line about potato water 'this during the war' gold 😂. Basically liquor, chopped parsley in the water (stock, in this case potato stock) from boiled spuds. Bubble and squeak is leftovers from a roast dinner on a Sunday and had for breakfast on a Monday. A roast dinner is roasted potatos, carrot and turnip, parsnips, cabbage, peas and a meat. With leftover veg, on Monday morning, mash veg together into a round one inch thick cake/patty and shallow fry...it's a London thing as is pie, mash and liqour with chili vinegar
I'm not a Foo fighters fan but Dave at least put his cash into a documentary about Sound City that so many rich rock stars couldn't give a shit about. Love or hate the man, hes a great drummer and not too shabby guitarist.
trivia: Andrew Gold was Marni Nixon's son. She was the official dub singer for actresses who could not sing in musicals West side story, My fair Lady, The sound of music and so many more
I love when people drop references to books I didn't know existed. Click over to my local library..place hold. Anticipation ensues. You gotta love the interwebs....and Pat Smear.
Interesting to hear them discuss Starship; I used to think 'We Built This City' sucked when it had first come out in the 80's, but I actually quite like it now! Anyway, another very enjoyable conversation, thank you gentlemen :-)
Lotta energy here. I keep thinking Jones is auditioning for the Foos, while Dave is indirectly telling all of them, "No, no, no, nooooo." Also, like 4 different interviews. 8 min in, im good. So much fun. Dave: not a morning guy!!
Andrew Gold sings harmony with Linda Ronstadt on When Will I Be Loved (Buddy Holly).. Tracks of My Tears (Smokey Robinson). That's Andrew singing... Outside I masqueraded, inside... Etc check her live videos he is in her band. Like from Midnight Special. ..
I like it when Mr Grohl is all serious, but he interacts well with Taylor (and Pat Smear here) in whatever he says :) Most probably thinking on ways for Taylor & himself to host this show in the near future too !
I agree w/Pat on Aerosmith. God knows how it worked out that way. Not that I don't love their early stuff. But they were cranking out hits at a pretty good clip in the late eighties.. I saw the Germs twice back in the day - Once at the Hong Kong Cafe and the famous show at the Fleetwood w/ The Mau Maus and Middle Class. Pat knows it for sure.
Andrew Gold is perhaps best rembered for his solo on Linda Ronstadt's "You're no Good", where he overdubbed 3 to 4 guitar tracks, eliciting comparisons to the Beatles and "Abbey Road."
He totally got bubble and squeak wrong! Any english person knows what it is!!! 🤦♀️🤣 love this interview though. Had me laughing from start to end. Great show!!!
“Black pudding.” Is what they are referring to in the fry up. Blood sausage. Eating animals is not necessary anyway. Funny interview still. Always a good laugh on JJ 😄

I think this is the most pat’s talked in the last 25 years
This is funnier after watching grohl imitate jonesy
EXACTLY
Where did he do that?
@@RedDevil_Joe what do you mean? It’s on UA-cam
Dave kept up that London accent brilliantly 🤣🖤
@@RedDevil_Joe just look up dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins on Jonesy's jukebox and you should find it 😊
This is such a fun interview. So sad and heartbreaking to look back on this. RIP Taylor.
RIP Taylor Foo Fighters were a part of my teenage years :)
If I could meet any FF, it would be Pat Smear. He’s so nice! I’ve never heard him talk so much. This just became my new favorite FF interview.
Pat is the coolest, I'm a huge Germs fan and I tried for years to meet him, he's the only Foo I couldn't get to speak to. 💔
Taylor
I love all the guys, but Pat is my favorite person to watch in videos because he has the best expressions. Lol
I’m sure Pat loves and appreciates being interviewed by Jones considering his punk roots.
@@staceyb7448 the absolute best moment in foo fighters video history is Big me when Pat sees the kid onstage....OHHHH YOU LITTLE RAPSCALLION 😁😁
This is how TH should be remembered
I love seeing 3 of them sit next to Steve like he's Dave's grandpa, and they've been hanging out all day and Dave was like "hey man wanna go to my grandpa"
Love how Dave looks at Taylor and discreetly shakes his head when Jonesy offers Taylor some shilagit. He always looked out for him 💜
it's a mineral
😂😂😂
I'm glad Dave looking after Taylor
Sad he could save when they were in Columbia
Dave is very serious here I like
Aww I never noticed that till I saw this comment! ❤
We will miss you Taylor !
And I miss Taylor 😭😇😭😞, but All of us do. Especially David Eric Grohl.
Pat is great.
Always smiling when he plays...in a nice way. Not in a scary way like Billy Zoom.
Pat is the original punk guitarist
@@Michael-ou4lq Pat was part of The Godfather’s of Hardcore Punks The Germs, he is a legend.
@@osito060308 yes I know , he is so cool
I think all was ok with the world as long as Dave had Taylor by his side🥲 he seemed so sweet.. RIP. 💖💘🙏🏼😇

David Eric Grohl is a Very Funny Man 💯💜. He can sound like almost anybody.
This is the most serious I have ever seen Dave Grohl.
And miss you Taylor 😞

I e really been missing it. I’ve been realists I got to these
I LOVE Pat Smear's smile. I could just watch him smile forever! Nice time with the Foo Fighters.
I love Jonesy's laid-back interview style
It reminds me of 90s-early 00s rock radio. Excellent time not all that awash in bullshit.
Love Pat`s shout out to Devo, one of the most underated bands of all time.
Pat Smear's laugh is the best!
I watch this interview once a month
I Love You Pat Smear ❤✌️😊💜💯. But I love the rest of the Foo's
Taylor was such a ray of sunshine, wasn't he? RIP beautiful man. Loved listening to Pat. Jonesy is hilarious and has so much history to share. Dave wasn't himself, I think. Still cute as can be though.
Thank you for reminding me of “Lonely Boy” and Andrew Gold. Decades ago I loved hearing it ⭐️🙏🕊
Great interview. More like a casual chat in a pub

Awesome.
Absolutely beautiful
11:10 Dave- you never had Daddy's sauce (conversation contines) Dave - you want some I am DECEASED and I've seen this video 100s of times
My new favorite online show!!!
I'm not a Foo fighters fan but Dave at least put his cash into a documentary about Sound City that so many rich rock stars couldn't give a shit about. Love or hate the man, hes a great drummer and not too shabby guitarist.
I was on the search for more of a literal Pat Smear interview and I was astonished at the nothing that I found. This is great! I love Pat!
Why haven't I found this earlier ! Top channel !
Rip Taylor Hawkins ❤️
And David Bowie
The discussion starting at 3:26 is so interesting. Hmm...

Pat Smear's a funny guy. and never seems miserable.
Enjoyed it, cracked me up.
yep! I remember seeing the "Knacks" at the "Troubadour"
Those three are hilarious..brilliant
Very fun to hear.
trivia: Andrew Gold was Marni Nixon's son. She was the official dub singer for actresses who could not sing in musicals West side story, My fair Lady, The sound of music and so many more
First time ever seen grohl nervous and lost for words the first 15 minutes
Seeing Steve Jones get the flask out truly warmed my heart

This is a good show.
steve jones - superb - his pregnant pause and response 'uh, yeah' - us Brits laugh out loud
Pat Smear laughing sounds like chicken crowing.
It so funny.
Rooster rowing.

My husband and I saw Andrew Gold as the opening act for the Eagles...Hotel California tour. Savannah Georgia. I forgot about that until seeing this.

i watched licka and pie video ... i wanted one immediately !!
"What band is the sweatiest? which drummer? Iron Maiden? would he have a sweaty ass?" LMAO Steve with the best interview questions ever!

Steve: that was the sx pistols before..

Never Mind the drumming. Cookie was a pretty good footballer. He played at the back for Trident , very tidy defender.

Andrew Gold looked a lot like Kenny Loggins. I don't think he's dead....just reinvented himself as Kenny Loggins.
This and the other foos one is funny as shit. Watch them back to back. You can Dave is brain storming.

The volume on this conversation is recorded way too low.
