Most people would be so scared and in shock, this lady actually hugged the baby and took her in her home to clean her up, she said she is a mom and the baby hadn’t been changed she cleaned her diaper and wrapped her in a warm blanket keeping her safe till first responders got there!! That’s what a mom is that’s what a mother does!! ❤
@@NoobNoob1986 I think you are absolutely selling them short because out of sheer horror a lot of people would unfortunately not even touch a baby covered in maggots and feces, let alone wash them in their own bathroom and feed them in their own homes.
How sad is it that she was worried about being accused of stealing a white baby? Pure hearted women caring for that child, and they are worried about being the next Central Park 5. I hate how hateful we are as a society. Skin color has nothing to do with the decency of a human. ❤
From the way she carries, swaddles, holds, and groom that baby girl that’s probably the most love that child has felt. Imagine being dumped in a bag and found by strangers is the only safety and comfort and love you’ve ever truly known..
@WendyP1965 Everything isn't about mental health. People act like they have mental health issues. The way she put together that false story, there is no way she has mental health issues. When a baby is involved and treated in such a manner, that's all people really care about..the innocent baby.I do not feel sorry for that Harriet...only the baby!
I would love to learn that the epitome of motherhood that found her was able to stay in contact with her. It felt like she fell in love with the baby, as if she were her very own, the second she found her. I can only imagine what heartache and love invaded her soul in that moment. Something so innocent being treated so horrendously, it triggers protective instincts in anyone who isn't a monster. So you can be sure that wonderful human that took care of her was just enraptured by her. I am so very glad that woman was around to show a sweet child what love feels like for probably the very first time.
yes you are , sadly not all women develop the mother instinct , I don't care if she is 17 if she was old enough to have sex and get pregnant she is old enough to have taken the baby to a safe haven.
Entire neighborhood seemingly. Very odd situation, I imagine they're all hypervigilant for a while after that. Hear a baby crying, check which neighbor it is.
The way she immediately went into mama mode and took that baby straight to the bath and cuddles. This woman was an Angel put in that babies path. How incredible. ❤
“I don’t want nobody saying we stole a baby” 😂 Ma’am you’re an angel on Earth & we salute you. You & your family are incredible ❤ The 17 yr old looks 30
Unless of stealing a lone vulnerable baby in a bag is considered saving the baby by my standards because if you think about it, a baby cannot survive in the wild like how baby kittens and puppies are; vulnerable.
“I don’t want nobody saying we stole a baby” She's black and the baby (from what we can see when the face isn't censored and the mother) is white, perhaps that plays into it?
The people who found her, then cleaned her up and called the authorities are without doubt amazing. They truly care about others and I hope later in life when she grows up, they get to see her.
Looks like a loving and connected community tbh. I bet this will bring them even closer together, and the people that saved the baby will definitely be known in the area. Imagine the guilt people would have had to live with if the baby passed away knowing they heard something but didn't connect the dots in time. Kind souls will hopefully be thankful and show their support in many different ways for the years to come :)
Indeed. It's so sweet to see the mothers tend to her, and I'm not a mother myself. She's already being cared for and coming back up from rock bottom. Only good things from now on, I hope.
A real mother is always a mother, it doesn’t matter if the baby is hers or not, the instincts just kicks in and there she was, giving a bath and feeding. Many Blessings to her.
absolutely… i’m sick to my stomach and in tears for poor Sabrina. she’s known more pain than most of could fathom in her young life. i hope she finds the love she deserves
That baby girl was so pale I was worried it might be too late. So many people came together to save that little darling. The mama who took her in her arms and into her heart gave the baby some of her own strength it seems. Baby girl had given up, but when she felt the warmth and love around her, her will to live came back! I hope that family who saved her are able to stay in touch. Little girls need aunties in their lives! I had wonderful aunties growing up, and half of them I wasn't even related to. They were the kind neighborhood ladies who befriended and watched out for my mom when she left the orphanage as a naive teenager and went to the city to find work, in 1940. I think those women saved my mom's life every bit as much as this sweet lady saved this baby. I love news reports that show us that good kind people still exist in this mean ol' world.
6:48 This woman hit the nail on the head. There are thousands of safe haven drop-offs across the country. You can drop an unwanted child at their door, no questions asked, no crimes committed, at any time. They're specifically designed that way so people DON'T abandon their children in dumpsters. You really have to not care about the health, well-being, or life of the child to do something like this. There is no excuse for it. It is straight up murder of the most innocent type of person on the planet. Completely despicable, and criminals rarely get a sentence to match the offense.
THIS!!!!! Also if your town doesn't have a baby drop box you can without any repercussions take the baby to the nearest hospital, police station, fire station (which is where the drop boxes usually are), nursing home, or school no questions asked and no harm done to you or the child
Yep and both the state she lived in and the state she dumped her baby in a trash bag in have had safe haven/abandoned baby protection laws allowing one to legally drop a baby off at any hospital, emergency services or police station, or even religious buildings for some time now. If she actually was concerned with that infants safety she had options.
These are the TYPE of information WOMEN/PARENTHOOD CLINICS provide for young people. They are not just there to provide ABORTIONS to these scared young people. Sure parents and boyfriend aren’t aware of the situation with the mother!!
The only problem is that not nearly as many people know they exist than they should, and I feel like demonising a minor for something that ultimately might not even been her fault is a bit tasteless. Taking into consideration the situation with abortion laws and such.
Idk what blaming a broken mother is gonna do. Post partum sucks! Obviously if she felt supported she would have done something different. Women abandoning their babies are usually a victim of abuse, uneducated or trafficked. The few cases that are just dumb people like a teenager dumping her baby in a garbage or this woman can still be attributed to lack of support for the mother. We live in a sick society. Thank god people were here to save the baby when the mother was so sick she couldn’t protect her daughter. Hopefully the mother gets help and doesn’t reproduce again.
There's no reason for this at all. If you really didn't want the baby girl, take her to the fire station at least. NY has the Abandoned Infant Protection Act and PA has Safe Haven. No excuse at all. Putting her in a plastic bag to die is inhumane, disgusting, disturbing. What a psycho. Edit: 9 years is crazy. There are people locked down for nonviolent drug charges for longer than that smh.
Agree with you on everything. The fact that she abandoned the baby when there were resources so readily available speaks volumes. Those neighbors showed way more care for Sabrina than her mother did. 9 years is nothing. If she did it once, she might do it again, sad to say.
exactly, like that woman said, she could’ve even left her on a porch or even the goddamend street where someone would’ve found her, she wanted her to die miserably and alone and the fact that she even lied that she was with the father and posted on facebook shows this was not just a moment of weakness in a mental health crisis
This is just a hot take but I'm pretty sure the reason drug charges are much worse is because the government doesn't like competition. I can't sit in good faith thinking there isn't something shady going on. Especially now a days.
It’s rare you hear a police officer thank citizens- this is the most heartfelt, sincere _thank you_ by police I’ll ever hear 1:38. It broke my heart to hear this woman fear being accused by police- a sad but real possibility. This lady, her family, neighbours, police, and paramedics were all fantastic.
I think we all feel represented by that policeman saying thanks to that GUARDIAN ANGEL. I wish that lady has the best life as she deserves for showing such compassion and care. ADMIRABLE person. Thanks to everyone who helped this baby. I wish she recovers and has a meaningful life.
Yes it's heartbreaking to have heard this lady fearing she'd be accused of stealing a child, but it is a reality that certain people do face fearing luckily the folks in her neighborhood also had her back and the cops were good ones
Imagine growing up to learn, as an infant, your biological mother put you in a bag and left you for dead. God Bless all the loving people who saved this baby.
I know. Imagine... I was thinking some day that baby will not only know, but may even see this video. I hope she does so that she can see how the community loved and protected her. Bless the ladies who rescued and took care of her.
@jessicadasilvaandrade7983 I can't understand why this even needs to be explained. Because she's the freaking MOTHER. Who threw her precious baby away like trash.
@caffeinatedpossum I had my 1st at 17 years old . She is now 27 and a new mother herself. Being a good parent isn't reflected by age but by how you parent
She was 17. A child herself. She did very bad by the child, but forgiveness should be given if she is remorseful. She can still change. She was so young herself.
@rawworking 17 is only 1 year away from being a legal adult. At that age, she knows better, and if she doesn't there is something VERY wrong. She was not a small child, and would have been tried as an adult for murder had that young lady not found that child in time.
@@rawworking She wasn't a child. 17 years old is 1 year away from being a legal adult. Had that baby not been rescued, she'd be going to adult prison for a VERY long time. She is too old to be treated like a child who doesn't know better.
OMG my eyes began to tear up when the lady who was helping the baby talked to her so sweetly, calling her a precious baby. I'll never understand why people would do these things to children. And animals too. But thank goodness she was found and they all tried to help her. I hope she's okay now. 🙏🏻
I cried too....cried for what was done to her....cried tears of joy because sweet loving caring people with beautiful hearts rescued her....cried praying that the doctors could save her...and cried tears of joy to know that she is now in a loving family and Sabrina is happy and healthy now. 😊🙏💖

@@bloodaonadeline8346 Oh fuck off with what we were "designed" to do. A lot of us do not want kids and will never have them but for this to happen to that baby is truly monstrous... Inhumane and disgusting behavior by who put that baby in this situation
The way this community responded to this situation is beautiful. From the civilians immediately taking care of her no questions asked, to contacting the proper authorities, the medical staff who cooperated together to save that kid’s life, this is how we run a society together. What I’m not proud of is how this mother only got 9 years. She did not abandon that child in any where that would be considered a “safe haven” (police and fire stations, hospitals, etc). Even if mentally she didn’t want to kill the child, she would’ve died. Attempted murder should bring a higher sentence especially if the victim is a child.
That little girl had a guardian looking out for her. How she survived all alone out there for 2 days and nights is beyond belief. Bless that lady for giving her a bath and some love, and wow. Just made me cry, to be honest. That poor little soul. I hope shes in a good place now with a real family that loves her.
@@serahloeffelroberts9901I was actually thinking of this and so happy this story turned out positive. I hope baby Sabrina is with a safe and loving family now.
The worry in this woman's eyes as she held that child restores my faith in humanity. These are the kind of people you'd want to have as your neighbors. The amount of concern and care they had for this child was outstanding, and I genuinely wish the best for them.
The woman that found the baby sounds like a great mother and wife, I hope her children appreciate her the way they should. She sounded almost heartbroken.
The way she cuddles that baby, you can see shes a mum. That family has probably given that baby more love in that short tine than its own its entire life. God bless that family!!
The fact that she tried to cover her tracks after leaving her baby to die shows that she knew what she was doing. She tried to use depression as an excuse after she got caught but thats all it was. An excuse.
There are firestation and hospital drop-offs. Even if you couldn't get to one, I'm sure you could call 911 and the police would take the baby off your hands. Check in on postpartum friends even so. Some of them go psychotic.
an now she goes to prison instead of her just adopting her out leave her at fire station that baby was 7 months old its going to be great for her hearing her mother left her in a bag when she grows up@@briskettacos
In a short space of time that precious baby was probably shown more care by strangers than her “mother” gave her in her whole life. I was abandoned as a 15 month old by my mother, but at least her mother had the decency to put me into foster care. I can’t imagine growing up knowing the woman who gave birth to you left you to die. The people who rescued her are heroes, angels!
I am so sorry that happened to you.Your parents must have been too young, too selfish,or struggling mentally.I am not defending them at all.I hope you know that you are a precious child of God,and loved unconditionly.✝️💞
Thank you, all. I had a horrendous time in the care system, but, now, as an adult, I can say I have a really happy life with people who love me. I’m also a therapist working with people who have suffered trauma, abandonment or abuse and helping them heal is hugely fulfilling. Your start in life does not determine what or who you will grow up to be, it’s a personal choice not to be defined by your past 💖
What she did is terrible. And there should be a punishment. But obviously the story is longer than we see here. It's hard to judge someone equitably when we barely know her. I don't think putting her in jail addresses the root of the problem, appropriate or not. I think the way to truly address these types of crimes is to build a proper system. It needs to give people what they need to grow up healthy and well adjusted. And when they get into difficulty, their first impulse should be to turn to those caring people for help. Call me crazy, but punishment won't restore whatever part of her humanity that went missing before this terrible crime.
Maybe go outside, you would be shocked to know that most people would do what this woman did in a heartbeat. Stop getting your info from the internet, it warps your concept of reality.
@@ericaallisonc what a strange opinion to take but that's your right. I don't disagree that many people would absolutely do what these women did. Maybe you need to go outside of the bubble of your community or local area. Far far too many people only care about themselves.
9 years is not enough. The fact that she was posting on FB like the child was with her while the baby was abandoned is sinister. At 17 you KNOW the difference between right and wrong. She was trying to conceal what she did. She deserves more time.
This kinda happened to our family once. One day a woman knocked on our door and in a panicked frantic state she literally gave us her baby and said "I can't do this" and ran away. We had no idea who she was. We called our neighbors and all the moms came by our house, right as we were about to call the cops the father came by looking for the baby, he mentioned that the mother had mental issues. Either way it was the most surreal moment I've ever experienced
Post partum depression, most likely. It really needs to be discussed more with potential parents because the psychosis episodes some women have are no joke.
not only did she save the child's life, but her outpouring of protection tenderness love and sweet nurturing to that baby, who must have been horrifically unimaginably lonely and in emotional pain during that ordeal, that is the kind of thing that can make a difference in that child's mental health outcomes for their whole life! being abandoned like that is so traumatic for an infant and when that baby was ready to give up hope, someone scooped her little heart up showed her pure and unconditional care and love. that is a formative moment that can help that child keep hope and love inside in hard times ahead and know there is always love in the world for her. which can help a baby stay whole during trauma or at least sustain breaks that can heal in time, and not completely shatter. this will help keep her capacity for love, rather than harden her heart so much she will grow up and struggle to feel anything at all. her rescuers compassion and angelic love in such a dark time could make the difference and prevent that baby's heart from giving up on love. though wounded, a heart still intact is able to heal. also the respite from loneliness and emotional pain may have made the difference in giving the baby the strength to keep fighting while in the hospital!
@@KitKat_293 Just want to reply to this to say, very well worded and written but also very poetic! Just thought you should know your words read in a way that was beautifully poetic!
I’m 37, no kids of my own, and still, something in me, some instinct just turns on even thinking or seeing something like this. The urge to just take care of a baby is powerful, and it’s alarming when it isn’t present for some people.
Same here....stories like this just break my heart for babies abused by people who take that sweet little blessing for granted while there are so many couples out here in the world who would fill that baby girl's life with love and happiness and protection. While our arms are empty of a child's love....abusive heartless people like Harriet can have them and could care less if they live or die....she personifies pure evil.
That's why I always hate when people say "As a mother" or "I have kids of my own." Are they implying people who don't have kids have zero empathy? It's annoying.
It’s not alarming at all. Not being able to take care of kids doesn’t make you a bad person. It’s how you deal with it, and if you deal with it by abandoning children or killing them, then you’re a bad person. If you deal with it by not having kids, putting them up for adoption, or having an abortion, then you’re a good person
Stories like this are why my husband & I plan to become foster parents. If I ever found an abandoned baby, I don't know how I'd be able to let them go. I would want to love and raise them FOREVER. 😭😭😭💜💕💜
That first woman’s reaction nearly made me cry too, I’m a mother of late children and I can’t imagine being put into that situation, she’s truly an angel
I hope this baby knows that just because they were discarded, this unfortunate event has no relation to the happiness that they can have growing up. I was also tossed away after being born and the person who birthed me was never prosecuted. There was a feeling that I was unwanted and felt I always had to prove myself to people. It took a long time before I realized that how I came into the world has no baring on the happiness I’m deserving of. I deserved life and I found love.
@@tonyacarroll890 i was found in a field in a small village in central Italy. the person who gave birth to me most likely traveled from one part of of the country to another, dumped me in a field, and fled back to where they live. I was taken in by a Catholic orphanage and later it was found out the person who birthed me was 14 at the time and apparently scared. The church took me in and in a meeting nuns who were taking care of me forgave her to me when I was taught about how I was dumped… although I didn’t forgive her and still haven’t, i have since dealt with those emotions and moved on well. Thank you.
@mw3309 - you are wrong. What typically happens is you serve half your sentence or one third and you are eligible for early release (depending on the State). So this means often criminals serve one third of their sentence, they have one third commuted and one third they are on parole and if they stuff up they go back to prison. Sometimes they serve half their prison time and the remainder they are on parole. What this means is that this evil woman will be on supervised release after she is let out of prison - regardless of the early release. It’s highly likely any children she had after her release will be removed from her immediately after they are born.
@@mortalclown3812yup. That’s exactly how it works. Anyone that is convicted of a crime like this can easily go before a parole board and be released early. She may have been given 9 years but there’s no way she’ll actually serve the full sentence. She was sentenced in 2018 so chances are that she’s already been released.
100% a Mama. Loving and caring for a baby that wasn't hers. I'd have done the same. A billion times better then the woman who gave birth to the sweet baby girl. I'm relieved she lived and has a safe and loving home. Thank you to the family that saved her life and thank you for being the first to show her the love she deserves ❤❤❤
This is a woman who, in another life, would have taken a lost child in any era. Like, you ever wonder how many of these women rescued lost or abandoned babies in like prehistoric/caveman time? How many humans are alive today because of a woman like this?
@@pepepantuflas1you absolutely can take them to a hospital, fire dept, church, police station. The hospitals have a cubby right oitside the ER. It is called The Safe Haven Baby Box. Ugh. If I found that precious baby I would absolutely ask to adopt her. What a beautiful miracle that she survived for 2 days in a bag❤ Bless those neighbors, officers, and doctors 🙏🏾
That nurse rubbing baby Sabrina’s head in the beginning is still there late at night doing the same. THAT is a FABULOUS NURSE!!!! The family that not only found this baby girl but took her in and tried their best to clean her off really did God’s work. It’s heart breaking to hear the condition she was in when they found her. Makes my heart break
This lady is an angel that was put at the right place at the right time. Seeing strangers give love to a baby they don’t know reminds me there are great people left in this world.
This woman is an angel from God. She saved that baby’s life. You can tell she really cares about kids and loves children. Man, if I’d found that baby I’d fight for custody. I’d have never been able to let her go.
Absolutely. It was clear she had the fiercely protective instinct of a mother. The moment she saw that child she immediately took action and started caring for them as if they were her own. (Also I love ur Jim pfp)
To think that poor baby laid there for over two days makes me physically sick to my stomach. As someone who has spent years trying to have a baby and knowing that there are parents out there who treat their babies like this is just beond unfair, and it's why my wife and I are adopting. I was adopted and always wanted a child of my own because I've never met another person who shares my dna...But giving another child like me a chance is far more important than that now.
The way that family was caring for the baby. Cleaning her up and cooling her down is touching. If this had to happen I’m so happy this family was the one to find them.
I can't imagine what breaks in you to be so callous to vulnerable life. Bless that woman and family that saved her, cradled her, cleansed her, and loved her. Hearing they got her eyes to open was monumental. They gave that baby enough love to let her fight just a bit longer.
Post partum is terrifying when it falls into psychosis stages. I wish there was easier access to help for people struggling with it. If not post partum, maybe panic? Or no care. I wish people who dropped off their babies would do it at safe legal places. Drop off boxes exist for a reason.
My daughter is 8 months old. I can't fathom how someone can do this to a child. I hope this child gets the help she deserves and isn't given back to the parents like CPS does so many other times.
All the love and care given to this sweet baby, from the lady who was cleaning her up in her bathroom when the cops came, to the other men and women around talking about the precious baby, and then at the hospital there was one particular nurse who seemed to be there just to love on her, rocking her and stroking her forehead, just being assuring. Probably the most love she’s ever gotten, and they are all STRANGERS!! Strangers ready to go to war for this little precious love.
i will never understand why people think killing an innocent child is the only way to escape parenthood. adoption is a thing. adoption is always, always an option
The fact that that poor innocent baby was _LITERALLY PUT IN A PLASTIC BAG & LEFT IN THE SUMMER HEAT FOR 👏3👏FUCKING👏DAYS TO DIE_ and the mother only got _9 YEARS_ for it is _beyond_ atrocious. It makes me so angry that despite there being SO many other options out there, _THIS_ is the route the baby’s mother chose to take. I’m honestly speechless at this point I don’t know what else to say…
Don't do the naughty with someone unless you're ready for the possibility of children and it's with the right person. It's as simple as that but our society has normalized lust for some reason which paves the way for stuff like this to happen.
And I heard there was poison ivy in the bag or something that made the child have a rash all over herself too. This person should never be able to call herself a mother. And God forbid she ever gets pregnant again.
God bless that sweet woman who took Sabrina in and gave her a bath. She kept saying "I'm a mother myself" and I know she was choking back tears the whole time. I hope the mayor of the city gives her some kind of reward for stepping up.

I had my oldest a month after I turned 18, I was still in high school but I wanted him from the start. Fell in love with him even more at birth too. I didn't want to be the stereotype teen mom so I didn't even let him have a babysitter the first year. I wanted to step up and be his mom. I don’t care how old the mother is, it’s irrelevant! This is the most heartless, horrific case I’ve seen in a long time. I don’t feel the sentence was appropriate for what the mother actually did to her baby, this is more than attempted murder because there’s nothing the baby could do to help herself. Beyond evil. I’m so glad that such a wonderful family found her and this family will stay in people’s hearts forever because they’ve not only saved the baby girl but they’ve restored faith in humanity ❤
the fact she was posting pictures, lying constantly "the daddy is watching her" ... she had multiple chances to say "I fkd up" and show remorse ... 9 years is a pitiful sentence imo. The lady that made the comment in the video about riding the lightning had the better idea imo.
Yeah but who decides at 8 months that they are going to let their child go for adoption or whatever? She SHOULD have taken it to someone for SURE, but why did they decide to just throw her out, like garbage, at 8 months?
@@suzannenichols6900 Someone with severe postpartum depression, probably. Many mothers experience it, and without a strong support system… strong depression can literally strip you of your emotions. Some mothers straight up go psychotic. It’s sad but not surprising at all that a teen mom would just break like that. Babies are burdens. They’re piss-covered little gremlins that scream all day and night, and need constant care, attention and patience to care for. Some people are just straight up unable to handle it, especially some clueless kid. The mom probably fucked some other kid at her school because teenagers are horny creatures and lust is a normal human emotion as old as time. Probably didn’t get adequate sex ed, if any at all, knowing the dismal state of sex education in the USA. I think it does belie a sense of premeditated malicious intent for her to have done something like pretend her baby was safe with her posting images of her happy on Facebook while she was out festering in a garbage bag. That part was pretty inexcusable, especially considering there are things like baby boxes at hospitals and such. Those boxes exist to give people who weren’t prepared and can’t in good conscience raise a child they cannot love an option that is best for both themselves and the child… even if the mother had the misfortune of lacking access to abortion in this backwards country, there were other options. But, combine a mental health break with dysfunction in a teen mom’s education and upbringing, along with a likely lack of support, and you have a recipe for disaster.

That baby is 7 years old today. She is an angel. I don’t understand how anyone can do something so cruel and inhumane

It's likely postpartum depression, which she kind of indicated. Which is why it's so important to seek help for that to protect both mother and child.

This woman hit the nail on the head.
Sometimes newborns are abandoned by confused and panicked parents. But this child is 8 months old!
I could be wrong but I thought the dropping a baby off at a safe haven is only possible within the first month… anything after that you’ll be charged.

Our justice system is broken.

That woman is an absolute angel for this. Truly what an amazing woman.
not only did she save the child's life, but her outpouring of protection tenderness love and sweet nurturing to that baby, who must have been horrifically unimaginably lonely and in emotional pain during that ordeal, that is the kind of thing that can make a difference in that child's mental health outcomes for their whole life!
being abandoned like that is so traumatic for an infant and when that baby was ready to give up hope, someone scooped her little heart up showed her pure and unconditional care and love. that is a formative moment that can help that child keep hope and love inside in hard times ahead and know there is always love in the world for her. which can help a baby stay whole during trauma or at least sustain breaks that can heal in time, and not completely shatter. this will help keep her capacity for love, rather than harden her heart so much she will grow up and struggle to feel anything at all.
her rescuers compassion and angelic love in such a dark time could make the difference and prevent that baby's heart from giving up on love. though wounded, a heart still intact is able to heal. also the respite from loneliness and emotional pain may have made the difference in giving the baby the strength to keep fighting while in the hospital!

We evolved to want to protect the future. It's indeed disturbing when people don't care at all.
You definitely don't have to have kids to have the instincts of looking after them when they need it.x
I seriously HATE people these days.

Those people who saved her are just amazing, love them
That whole neighborhood was tremendous.
I hope this precious baby is with someone who loves her unconditionally, and isn’t in foster care or anything.
I actually cried while watching this. I cant believe someone would EVER do this to someone, let alone a BABY.
Yeah I thought u can take any baby to a fire department or hospital no questions asked and they won't even ask for I.d
@@pepepantuflas1That would’ve been WAY better than letting your baby die . Poor thing had MAGGOTS in her eyes. Istg that mother is so disgusting
yeah, I'm a 42 year old man, weeping as I watch this.
@@pepepantuflas1you absolutely can take them to a hospital, fire dept, church, police station.
The hospitals have a cubby right oitside the ER. It is called The Safe Haven Baby Box. The adult opens the door and a tone goes off inside the ER to alert staff that the door was opened. The baby is placed inside the cubby and ER staff will recover the baby safely.
No questions asked
yep..65 y.o. man crying f r
Ugh. If I found that precious baby I would absolutely ask to adopt her. What a beautiful miracle that she survived for 2 days in a bag❤ Bless those neighbors, officers, and doctors 🙏🏾
Probably not so easy to adopt her but i hope she will find a good home 😊❤
@@moiraohara Actually it wouldn’t be too hard. May take a while but not difficult. I’m an attorney :)
I'd adopt her or at the very least foster her in a heartbeat! Poor sweet girl needs love in her life. ❤
@@charlottesmom the problem is that there is so much burocracy that stuff is not because we want :(
@@moiraohara I wish it were easier to foster but at my age (57) I'd most likely get rejected. ☹️
That nurse rubbing baby Sabrina’s head in the beginning is still there late at night doing the same. THAT is a FABULOUS NURSE!!!! You can see the compassion in her caress. ❤ So thankful the baby made it. 9 years is far too short for the “mother”.
Edit: I didn’t even notice she had white on, she’s probably just a student. She has a lot to look forward to. God bless you. You WILL help many. Don’t lose that compassion.
I noticed her rubbing her hair too. Thought the same thing.
The nurse in white stayed with that baby every second, comforting her and giving her love
9 years is not enough. Absolutely heartbreaking.
The way that family was caring for the baby. Cleaning her up and cooling her down is touching. If this had to happen I’m so happy this family was the one to find them.
9 yrs..... that's all? Are you kidding me? Our justice system has failed so many victims.
She’ll be treated Nicely by all the lady’s in jail that aren’t there for hurting kids trust me
@@Not_GenieShe definitely needs some jailhouse justice.
I can't imagine what breaks in you to be so callous to vulnerable life. Bless that woman and family that saved her, cradled her, cleansed her, and loved her. Hearing they got her eyes to open was monumental. They gave that baby enough love to let her fight just a bit longer.
Maybe post partum psychosis.. Maybe deliberate evil..
@@SA-ey6ntafter 8 months…. Not pp psychosis, just pure evil
Post partum is terrifying when it falls into psychosis stages. I wish there was easier access to help for people struggling with it. If not post partum, maybe panic? Or no care.
I wish people who dropped off their babies would do it at safe legal places. Drop off boxes exist for a reason.
As a mother, this makes me ill. How could you do this to any baby let alone your own child? Makes me sick.
same here well I'm not a mom but still i feel sorry for the younger kids or babies ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My daughter is 8 months old. I can't fathom how someone can do this to a child. I hope this child gets the help she deserves and isn't given back to the parents like CPS does so many other times.
I have a 8 month old boy and this broke my heart 😢
All the love and care given to this sweet baby, from the lady who was cleaning her up in her bathroom when the cops came, to the other men and women around talking about the precious baby, and then at the hospital there was one particular nurse who seemed to be there just to love on her, rocking her and stroking her forehead, just being assuring. Probably the most love she’s ever gotten, and they are all STRANGERS!! Strangers ready to go to war for this little precious love.
God bless that woman. An Angel on earth. Praying that the child ends up with a loving family.
i will never understand why people think killing an innocent child is the only way to escape parenthood. adoption is a thing. adoption is always, always an option
Agree. Life with no parole is far more appropriate.
Agreed. If she had killed the baby, she would have gotten life, but since she failed, she only gets 9 years. Makes no sense.
😢 I know, I'm with you. It's disgusting that a "mother" can throw away her innocent baby like that! Absolutely disgusting and evil!! 😢
THIS: "I hope the mayor of the city gives her some kind of reward for stepping up."
That woman is a legend for instantly stepping in and helping the poor baby
Bless that woman and that family for finding the child and caring for her, getting her the help she needed.
This hurts my heart so bad. I had my son at 17 and I INSTANTLY fell in love when I found out I was pregnant but even more after holding him the first time
I was 17 with my fist baby, a piece of my heart walking around. ❤

I had my oldest a month after I turned 18, I was still in high school but I wanted him from the start. Fell in love with him even more at birth too. I didn't want to be the stereotype teen mom so I didn't even let him have a babysitter the first year. I wanted to step up and be his mom. My amazing little man is going to be 20 in March and has brought me more joy than I could ever have imagined. I don't know how a mother could ever do that.

Thank you for saving this baby. You are a true angel. 😇
I live only a few miles from Elmira and I remember this being on the news. Horrific. I’m so relieved to hear that the baby is safe now and away from that monster. 9 years is not long enough for her crimes.
So you also mentally corrected the pronunciations of El-meer-a - haha. I'm from Olean. Both Sayre and Elmira were said wrong. Not that it matters, obviously.
@@inheritmyshoes9559 Despite the horror of the story, this was also driving me up a wall, heh.
How is it more than attempted murder? You can't call it murder if nobody actually died.
They literally say 17. But your right with the baby drop off locations there is zero reason for this.
the fact she was posting pictures, lying constantly "the daddy is watching her" ... she had multiple chances to say "I fkd up" and show remorse ...
9 years is a pitiful sentence imo.
The lady that made the comment in the video about riding the lightning had the better idea imo.
Mother must be a sociopath
@@Thrifty032781 It's attempted murder because the attempt failed. If it didn't fail, it would've been called "murder". Idk what's so hard to get.
she could have placed her child in front of the fire/police dept or a baby box or anywhere other than inside a plastic bag in the bushes… so horrific!
Yeah but who decides at 8 months that they are going to let their child go for adoption or whatever? She SHOULD have taken it to someone for SURE, but why did they decide to just throw her out, like garbage, at 8 months?
@@suzannenichols6900~ Because she's an egg donor .....not a true mother.
Bless this woman and her family. She's an angel
