The Bee Gees will always be remembered as one of the best bands ever. Their voices were outstanding. You don’t hear that kind of music anymore. These guys had real talent.
I grew up listening to the Bees Gees. Barry’s falsetto is unmatched and this was with no dubbing or auto tune. Just pure beautiful talent. “You make my world a summer day” - you don’t get beautiful lyrics like that today. ❤
The Bee Gees catalog is a huge rabbit hole of amazing hits from the 60's to the 90's and great gems from their albums. So much more than "Stayin Alive", though that song IS a timeless classic.
The Legends, The Bee Gees! You could make a hobby out of listening to new reactions on a daily basis from these Brothers! Glad to know their fire will keep burning!
These guys were truly rags-to-riches, singing on the streets from a very early age. They were dirt poor, had nothing but themselves and never complained. Sadly, Barry is the only one left with Andy the youngest dying first. Today he's been described as one of the most kind and caring singer, promoter..,to ever walk in the music business.
I grew up with this great group & had a lot of their albums. Most people react to their disco era. My favorites are from the 60's-70's. Some of their early hits were "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "Holiday", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "The Singer Sang His Song", "Lonely Days", "Melody Fair", "First Of May", "I Started A Joke", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Massachusetts", "To Love Somebody" etc.
Born in the UK but moved to Australia 🇦🇺 such amazing talent and I am so glad i was around in the 70s to hear such amazing music. It will never be the same again!
The harmonics, the phrasing in unison, the vibrato even at the same time with no machine help is exquisite. Of course they had been singing together as a group since they were small for like twenty years at that point and were at the top of their game.

Barry and twins Robin and Maurice (“Morris”) have been at it since the fifties. A great sampling is Spicks and Specks, Massachusetts, Lonely Days, To Love Somebody, I Started a Joke, Fanny Be Tender, Run To Me, New York Mining Disaster, If I Can’t Have You, I Can’t See Nobody, I’ve Gotta Get a Message to You, More Than a Woman, Nights on Broadway, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart… They wrote over a thousand songs - most always melody first and then lyrics. Many hits for other artists like Dianna Ross, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand and Dolly Parton. Enjoy the ride! 😍 #BeeGeeFanForever

The Bee Gees were a constant part of the soundtrack to my life growing up. And I used to wear jeans like that (they never seemed to last very long… ) but seriously, this is superb. The harmonisation, the backing instrumentals, it all fits together so seamlessly. The music is sensitive and intimate, it stirs the emotions. I enjoy a broad spectrum of music, depending on the mood. Its not difficult to imagine the kind of situation where this music would exactly hit the spot.
My first experience with The Bee Gees was in 1969. Album “ Cucumber Castle”. It was just Barry and Maurice. I was so in love with Barry. I’m 65. Still one of my favorite albums.
Barry (lead in middle) is the oldest brother of 4. Maurice and Robin - twins. All of them have been singing/performing together since they were children. There was a 4th younger brother, Andy. He had a skyrocketing too brief solo career. Check him out. The plan was always for Andy to join them. Tragically he died too young, from heart complications/disease from drug use.
