Blair Athol is a stunning village and area near Pitlochry in Perthshire, Blair Castle is a stunner. We pass through most summers on our way north to the Highlands for a week or two.
I have toured the Blair Athol distillery in the lovely town of Pitlochry. During our tour and tasting they stated that the majority of their product is used in Bell's blend.
After having a couple of bottles of this, I can't seem to find another. Such is the way of independent bottlings. I have, however, been able to find another Blair Athol from SMWS. Distillery code 68.
There are some amazing bottlings of Blair Athol going around. I had a cask strength one from The Sipping Shed recently that’s up with the best cask strength whisky’s I’ve ever had.
If you ever get a chance, try the ultra high age statement of Blade and Bow. That is about the only 20 plus I have actually enjoyed. Just a wonderful 🦄.
This is known as the hart of Bells (blended scotch) in fact there is a bell shaped shrubbery in front when you come to the distillery for all the Monty Python fans
Maybe it’s the new oak barrels only thing, but bourbon that has been aged too long tastes more like you’re chewing on the barrel than like you’re drinking whiskey.
Given the way Rex says “Blairatholl” by running it all together it sounds like he’s talking about a dietary supplement or a new member of the mint family.

So addicted to watching every episode managed to be on in time for the exact upload!
Just to note guys, for the pronounciation of Athol, you accentuate the first syllable Ath, not the ol.

The 23 year Blair Athol special release was one of the best scotch whiskies I’ve ever had. Very underrated and rare. If you have the chance, get one.
I have a Blair Athol from Signatory that i really enjoy. I wish i could find this one
This one went mostly to Total Wine.

After marathoning the old-school episodes, "Why are they talking so much about whiskey?" 😂😂😂
I'm visiting the Blair Athol distillery next week, nice coincidence that this video popped up
If bourbon is typically not meant to be aged much, why is the Cadenheads 19 Tennessee independent bottling so delicious?
That one is a hidden gem.
I’ve always looked past this whisky, but after watching this I might just pick it up next time. Thanks fellas!!!
The mooch is looking trim and fit these days. Good on you ya bastard
Pronounced Blair Ath-all
AM is the supplier of Costco's 17 yr. single malt. Good scotch.

Blair Athol comes from a long line of Scottish Atholls. His father was an Athol. His Grandfather was also an Athol.
Goes into Bells whisky.
Odds that we see this show up as a Kirkland Signature bottle?
I bought a bottle of Alexander Murray Laphroaig and it was so harsh and unpleasant to drink. I was bummed. It was also expensive
