After polishing the oversized Bradbury hand wheel, was there any nickel left on it or is that shine from polished cast iron? Several of my hand cranks appear to have chipped and/or corroded plating in places. Thanks for the “goal post” technique.

Usually, the only way to get main wheels looking bright again is to grind away the old plating and polish the underlaying cast iron.
