I used Gojo to clean the machine. The decals are gone, silver. I guess the clear coat was gone from the decals. How do I remove any broken clear coat to reapply a new coat ?

I do a light wet sand with 400-grit sandpaper to level any high spots of the shellac clear coat originally used.
