OMG! I finally found this! When I was living in Hawaii, over 20 years ago, I observed this on PBS. I have been looking for it on tape or video ever since! I have chills and chicken skin (Hawaiian slang) throughout the whole performance... In my opinion, the best interpretive dance ever! I'm so elated... Bravo!!!
I had seen it on PBS also in the 90s and had been looking for it for the last 10 years. Only things I could remember was the song (bolero), and the fact that there were only two dancers (male and female) in tight clothing on a plain floor with blue "smoke" around the edges. Searched many places and even asked around but could never find it. I just happen to select this one at random on here and found it. Does any one know if there is a longer version of the entire dance in better quality than this?
