I had pains in my back and other limbs and after I heard this music and watched these dancers the pain dissipated. All my senses were transported to a wonderful place. Thank you again
He has done a unique work in music, going back to the origin of music.. he kinda give the right weight to each note and so each sound has the right importance... ! that's genious
Well, to begin with this music requires no dancing at all. I really don't know if sense-wise and feeling-wise it's compatible with dancing at all. I personally listen to this song when I'm alone and it's dark in my room. I lie on the floor and well, it's like a journey through space. It has nothing to do with dancing. But this man, I think, has found a suitable connection. I like it a lot.
This wonderful piece of music allows for so many different interpretations. The choreography here is absolutely amazing. So glad I discovered it! Thank you!
I agree, for sure there's something very beckett about it. Reminds me of act without words and krapp's last tape: Beckett's two movement pieces. It's got beckett style darkness and the style's very similar.
''What kind of music is this? Whoever wrote it must have left himself behind at one point to dig the piano notes out of the earth and gather the artificial harmonics of the violins from heaven. The tonality of this music has no mechanical purpose. It is there to transport us towards something that has never been heard before''. Wolfgang Sandner (ECM Records)
These people are flying all over the stage like the background music is Flight of the Bumblebee or some kind of fast-paced club song. I get that there can be different interpretations of the same music, but... this doesn't make any sense to me. I actually burst out laughing when the guy mimed licking the wall. Calm music like this doesn't make me want to go around and lick walls, but I guess that's my own interpretation.
I don't think you're right, Mats Ek was an extremely important figure in the modernisation of contemporary dance. If you personally cannot identify with his interpretation here then that in no way detracts from the significance of this piece of choreography, nor does it render it in an invalid interpretation.
I know what you mean. Total relativism is in vogue now. It allows to eschew any consideration in essence. I can justify my words. There's a lot of movement in this dance. Mostly nervous, spasmodic, wayward and paroxysmal. But there is not even a slightest hint on that in the music, which creates a completely different kind of tension. That's the biggest error. The dynamics are also wrong. When the piano hits the low tonic, it is treated as a harsh accent, while actually the note is taken softly.
I really don't understand how this dance is compatible with the music at all. The dancers are amazing but the dance is crude and what they are showing is completely out of context with what Part conveyed in his piece.
Dance ok, but it has nothing to do with the music. NOTHING. This couldn't be called a valid interpretation, in no way. It's a pity so many talented people do listen only to their own 'creative' ego. Obviously, the choreographer liked the music. But he didn't hear it. His own associations were of more importance to him than the piece itself. He should have chosen a piece that suits his style, if he couldn't change his style (and the way of thinking, and the way of hearing...) to fit the music.
Das ist.... unbeschreiblich!!! Wow!
The piece, the dancers!!!

The choreography here is absolutely amazing. So glad I discovered it! Thank you!
That was just beautiful, the choreography stark and stripped down complemented perfectly! Thanks for uploading!
Amazing!
amazing !!!
Мне кажется, музыка прекрасно подходит к движениям. Она задает не ритм, а настроение, окрас происходящего. Ведь это даже не танец, а история двух душ.
Was I the only one who was breathless afterwords?
обалдеть.
... Deleite

Cut the sound and play ''Vogue'' of Madonna. It does ruin a wonderful piece of work, but I don't regret it for one bit.
