Sorry, already figure it out. I use another benchmark. Using your benchmark I´m having 15 fps on 66blur and 20 fps on 6 TNR. I´m thinking of buying a 6800 non XT so I don't need to mod the cables in the PSU.
Hi Teresa, thanks for nice test of the nitro 6800xt :) Have a question about nitro glow feature. How it works in default modes (in 1 and 2 BIOS mode without the TriXX software)? I'm a little curious since the title is "his is the Best GPU for MAC in 2024 so far...", won't the AMD Radeon RX 6900XT with 16G VRAM be the fastest, even faster than the 6800XT? It seems 6900XT is the latest and fastest GPU that intel mac supports.

@@morgonaut Hi thanks :)
Yea, I saw your video and I think I saw that you didn't closed the clamps on the side, and I was wondering why...
I thought that the Mac Pro has a 30 centimeters capacity for a card length, the Sapphire length is 31centimeters,
I guess the Sapphire Nitro is good for it
👍
no, everything fits perfectly
do you think I would be so stupid to recommend this card when it would not fit? :(
@@morgonaut I know you are the best ;)
Cool, thanks a lot for the reassurance
I have been following all your content on the Mac Pro, thanks for your work!
Sometimes I wonder if it is better to get a parts/scrap Mac Pro and then just re do it with other parts... Would be great to have a highly custom Macintosh.
sorry, I don't understand what you mean 😇 Sure you can buy let's say MP5,1 and pimp it up
@@morgonaut Finding a parts and repairs 2019 Mac Pro and then just repopulate it with parts rather than buying a new one direct from Apple. Putting in a new Xeon and the graphics card and all. Kinda like custom building a Mac as opposed to buying a new sealed one which is more expensive.
The problem is finding where to find a bare 2019 Mac Pro without anything in it, no memory, CPU, Graphics, just the bare chasis and motherboard with the PSU maybe, I think that's really the question.
@HikikomoriDev - you will not find anything like that at all
Hi. I installed the second GPU to my MacPro 7.1, a Radeon RX 6800 XT. My question is, is it fine to have 2 GPU at the same time? Right now I have a Radeon Pro 580X with 2 monitors 4k on it, and a second GPU 6800 XT with out any monitor connect to it, just for acceleration process only. I use Davinci Resolve Studio version.
In the last version of Davinci 18, I notice some dropping frames when I use the clean feed option in my second monitor, after sone seconds on playback, the video drop frames, and the audio it seem a little desynchronised . My doubt is, Is it better to have the 2 GPU on the system or just keep the 6800 XT only'? What do you recommend ? thanks in advance.
you can use multiple GPUs without problem, but keep in my the RX580 is old weak GPU compared to the 6800 XT so don't expect miracles from it. And you should not use the clean feed but proper Decklink / UltraStudio monitoring
@@morgonaut My problem with a decklink is that I can not make a monitor calibration with a Spyder or similar, I need to have an expensive monitor for the decklink. Right now I have my 2 monitors calibrated with Display Call. I have ultra studio mini monitor with a Oled LG just to have an idea on how my video signal is look in a TV, but only this. how do you use a deck link in your work flow?
that's not true! You can and you even should do your calibration via Decklink. How do you think big studios do it? Over computer display connected to OS? Of course not!
@@morgonaut Here I found a tutorial to calibrate Oled TV throw ducklink or similar

Good work
thanks :)
Where can we see your blackmagic 6k footage you shoot and edit?
in my videos on my youtube channels for example :) Product shots in this video is another example
I have a 6800 XT installed on my MacPro, and since 2 month ago I can not use the Magic Mask in Davinci Resolve, it gave me an error. When I try to select an object everything works fine, I can see the selection, but when I try to tracking the mask, the software elect some ramdomareas in the image and the mask is loose. I am using DaVinci Resolve V18.1.4 and my system is a Mac Pro 7.1 with 128 gb ram, 16 cores and OS X Ventura 13.4.1 any one has the same problem?
@carlosangella5756 - obviously I would need to deeper inspect your whole system to be able to judge where you can have problem - you can book a video/remote meeting with me www.morgonaut.cloud/get-help/ or join my Patreon www.patreon.com/morgonaut
@@morgonaut I will check your remote meeting. I know you have a Mac Pro with a 6800 XT GPU, and I know you use Davinci Resolve too. You never has problems with the Magic Mask with the 6800 XT? wich OS X has installed in your Mac? Monterey or Ventura? thanks in advance.
Hello, would it be possible to build a hackintosh with a rx6000?
it is but you are commenting on my Mac channel, not on my hackintosh channel
Does it work on MAC pro 2009?
if you would install Big Sur on it then yes
Does it support hdmi 2.1 and 8k output now?
that's question. I don't have any 8K HDMI 2.1 display to test it
Imagine how fast will be the new Radeon 6900 XT in the Mac Pro 7.1 ? It has support in the new update 11.4 OS X.
I wrote a post on youtube already I ordered the dual W6800X which is even more powerful than W6900X, so for sure videos about it will come when it will arrive
@@morgonaut I will wait a little time to order my radeon 6800 XT , today it is very expensive!! but until the en of the year the price will be drop down.. People who use farms to produce BitCoins are selling they CPU right now... So I think the price will drop down !!! not to the real price that need to be almost 650 € but less than 1000 will be fine
@@morgonaut I will like to see how the Radeon 6800 will work on MacPro too!!! waiting for the video!!
yeah, half of the video is done already :) Wait
@@morgonaut Great!! thanks for your info!!
Sadly I can't use RX 6800 XT in my Mac Pro 7,1 because I have Pro Display XDR and the 6800 XT does not have thunderbolt 3
I always say how bad idea it is to rely on thunderbolt
All the founderedition rx6800xt / rx6900xt (amd / msi / gigabyte..) have a usb c spot (displayport over usb c) it should work
Does it mean that Hackintosh has life extended by a few more years with this GPU?
This is not hackintosh channel. But yes sure
Bravo!
thanks
love uuuu
Radeon pro w6800x duo p its monster
yeah, my monster :)
Why is the title "in 2024" if this video was uploaded 3 years ago?
@aaronhinton92 - because it is still relevant in 2024 and I still believe it is the best value GPU for Mac in 2024!
@@morgonaut Does it work to have the 6800XT alongside an MPX graphics card? Or do you have to remove the MPX? I’d love to keep the Thunderbolt ports from the MPX, but increase graphics performance in Resolve by adding a newer GPU like the 6800 or 6900. But I don’t know if that would work or if I’d have to remove the MPX card altogether?
@aaronhinton92 - you can have any GPU alongside any other MPX
6900xt?
?
@@morgonaut Want to know the effect of 6900XT, 😺
what you mean by "effect"??
@@morgonaut Sorry, my English is not very good, I mean the comparison of 6900XT
don't expect much more, I said that in this video
and the 6950xt is even faster lol
@Stoney-Lawson - it is, but it is not best GPU in terms of value when it's 2.5 times more expansive but just few % more powerful!!!
@@morgonaut I only paid $300 for my 6950xt lol
