Thanks for posting. 2002 Carrera 4S. I just took the plastic "bellows", fan motor and engine "hood" light out. I had a few round clips on the bottom of the "bellows" fall off and wanted to replace them. You can not do it with the top fastened to the spoiler. Reason being, you can not press on the round clip without the stud it goes on staying in place. I ended up putting the bellows on bottom first so I could hold the stud bar in place while pushing the new clips on. Putting the top back was hell. The plate that holds the "bellows" top has two way prongs, (Maybe 8?). I ended up looking real close at the prongs on this bar. These prongs are a two way lock. You have to push up and to the right side of the slots to get them all in to the slots. THESE 8 OR SO PRONGS HAVE TO BE PERFECT TO GET THEM ALL IN! I took needle nose pliers and carefully bent them all the prongs had at least 90* bends both ways. After doing this the bar went in all the slots and I was able to slide it to the drivers side to get the outside plastic push pins in. I recommend 4 hands to do this. The engine hood light was burned out, (The light is a "torpedo" shape. Text on the bulb: 12V, 10Watt," on one end, "Phillips Made in France" on the other. Looks original. For sure it is old.) FYI, I took my 2002 Targa spoiler off to lube the gears at the motor. A good video is on You Tube. I did not have to take the "bellows" off at all. I used a Bentley hard cover "service book" and it all went well. I put "Black Again" plastic care on all surfaces when both spoilers were taken apart. These cars are both super clean all the time, not daily drivers. Again, this video gave me the extra info to get my project done. If I would have videoed my entire job, it would have taken 12 hours instead of 6. Thanks a lot for the help.
Thanks for posting this along with the part numbers. Super helpful!
Glad it was of use!
