I felt her when she ran to her daddy. I was in my 30's working as a kindergarten teacher playing with my students one day and my dad surprised me. I had 3 yr old little boy assigned tomy case load He has beautiful blue eyes ans bloune hair. This little boy loved me. When I arrived at his school to transport him he would run through his class just to hug me. The White Teachers were always shocked when they saw this. Their facial expressions was priceless. He would drop his whatever he had his hands and would start running to me while calling my name. I always gave him a big hug. Hate is taught. I love that little White boy and now that I'm retired from Social Work I will always remember him for his loving heart and hugs.

I realized that a stepfather can only be a father as much as the wife lets him be. My wife never let me be the father to my step-daughter. I was treated like a step-father and so, very little affection was shown toward me. It hurt a lot, but my job is to be the best I can for her, affection from her or not. I've been her step-dad from years 11 to 20. Her father divorced mom when she was 4. Dad was an abusive husband. Mom never told the truth about her ex. to her daughter. Mom never allowed me to be the father. A hero would say that it really doesn't matter, but it does hurt, very much. Years that can never come back. Mom and family kept my step-daughter in limbo, so confused, that my step-daughter decided to be "fair" and not celebrate either dad.

I felt her when she ran to her daddy. I was in my 30's working as a kindergarten teacher playing with my students one day and my dad surprised me. I yelled out 'Daddy!' and ran to him like I'd lost my mind😂😂 now mind you I see my dad everyday but there's just something about seeing the man you look up to. This was a beautiful moment for her.

I had 3 yr old little boy assigned tomy case load He has beautiful blue eyes ans bloune hair. This little boy loved me. When I arrived at his school to transport him he would run through his class just to hug me. The White Teachers were always shocked when they saw this. Their facial expressions was priceless. He would drop his whatever he had his hands and would start running to me while calling my name. I always gave him a big hug. Hate is taught. I love that little White boy and now that I'm retired from Social Work I will always remember him for his loving heart and hugs.

My black step father came into my life when I was 11 and showed up to my 6th grade graduation instead of my alcoholic dead beat father (deported to Mexico and never heard another peep from again) who would only call me once every 3 years or so. I cut him off at 19 and reminded him of everything he NEVER did for me because I knew who the real man was in my life all along. It never mattered that we may look different, I was his child in his eyes. This brought me to tears ,I love you dad!💖

I married a woman who had two kids before we met. I adopted both of them and gave them my name. Their mom and I got divorced but I still have two great kids in my life who call me their Dad. I wouldn't give that up for anything in the world and I'd do it all over again!!
