As someone that came from a broken home filled with anger and violence I filled myself with that anger to survive. I still carry it with me into my thirties and have struggled so hard to let it go. This show has been so therapeutic. I'm making choices to get help for my small family that I've started. I want to be better for them and this show gave me the push I really needed even if it's scary.
Read this manga when I was a freshman it’s hitting even more now that I’ve matured. So good and Mappa knocked it out the park. This and JJK season 2 are gonna be my favorites for the year I already know
Had to do a double take on your comment the first time i read it. My dumbass thought you were talking about these 3 guys instead of Vinland saga hahahahah
Something I find cool about Olmar's development is how his first meeting with Throfinn the retainers were trying to make him kill Thorfinn so that he can become "a man", so it's really cool what they did at the end there where Olmar says he wants to be like Thorfinn "a REAL man"
It’ll take incredible strength, bravery, resilience, and above all, swallowing your ego completely. The rest of the manga is about testing Thorfinn’s mettle and resolve when comes to his pacifist ideals and embodying it.
We need this Thorfinn in our world istg, I cried at the second half of the ep so hard, what a beautiful and wholesome anime really 😭🧡 I hope we won't wait a lot for season 3 tho 🙏🏼
We will have to wait a lot. You cannot get quality work without proper production time. It took 3.5 years between season 1 and season 2 and the team has been working for most of the time (pre-production started shortly after season 1 ended). Therefore, even if more resources are poured into vinland, we'd still have to wait more than 2 years for another season. The only way for it to arrive earlier is to have a shorter season (like 12 episodes) but that's unlikely
Man, such a great episode! couldn't help getting misty eyed even though ive seen it several times already with different reactors. Cant wait for the last one
I wouldn't say that thorfinn negative arc has ended with askeladd's death. It would be more accurate to say that his positive arc has started with him meeting einer. Before that he was just depressed, nothing positive about that
Being able to believe that releasing control, let your hate go, and trusting other people is exactly the rebellion against god he was speaking about. Those fears are the very nature he is was rebelling against. Thorfin just illuminated a path he never believed was possible.
these last episodes were a lot of: Thorfinn: How about we do this, you don't do that and I might do that other thing... Everyone else: That's ridiculous, hilarious, very funny - you're weird, Thorfinn! Thorfinn: I'm not trying to be funny - I'm serious! And I love it! Thorfinn's way of thinking is so foreign now even to people who used to know him.
I actually understood his laughter first time watching. It took me a split second to realize exactly what he was going to say but the idea of thorfin of all people with NOTHING no backup plan nothing besides "hey please leave" was so absurd to him considering all the people who want to coerce or use him, that he just laughed at that idea. It was kinda scary initially but quicky it is kinda funny. A literal slave goes up to a king and politely asks them to leave, and refuses violence at all costs... I can totally see why he laughed and became his younger self in that moment.
@@thorfinnthegoatmc lmao. The ending is changed in anime. I have not read the manga but I would rather have the manga ending than a forced biased ending by fans. Probably people hate it because their "favourite" Eren died. But I will love it. This is how a good story should be.
Hearing Canute laugh like he did when Ragnar was still alive showed me how great of an influence someone like Thorfinn can be. Just like how Askeladd asked Thors to be his leader, Canute can see how beautiful of a person Thorfinn has become. This was a hopeful episode and if we never see the farm again, I feel like it was left in better hands with Olmar, Snake and Sverkel. Now we journey forward to Vinland, for Arnheid.
Dont compare legends with common people. Askladd and Thors were legends . their encounter were special and realistic , unlike thorfinn and Canute . what kind of talk no jutsu was that ? why did canute retreat just because he said he would run ? would thorfinn run away if his mother or sister were being r*ped in front of her by canute army ? his answer was stupid and canute's reaction was unrealistic. They cut and fastforwaded the most important part of the story . how canute became the king of england? how people accepted him ? he take back his forced from the country , that made people accept him ? really ?
@@Mr.Quatermain I don't claim you either 😂😂 as an attack on titan and vinland saga fan. You have the lost plot of alt and overestimated the plot of vinland saga with their talk no jutsu

Yeah and canute really ruled over England with an iron fist for a few years until 1018 when he changed his approach. Also, the english never rebelled against him. Yukimura has a talent of weaving historical truths within the story
I'm sad that Vinland Saga Season 2 is ending. I will wait years for season 3 to be produced! Anyone who quickly dropped out of season 2 because of the lack of action will not get this incredibly moving and satisfying experience. Peakland Saga!🥹😍🥺❤

4 years ago, the only person Canute could open up to about his feeling was Thorfin, 4 years later, it hasn't changed.
This show has genuinely turned me from depressed to hopeful
