"Turkey's Economic Crisis: Lessons for India and the World" Summary: This video discusses the severe economic crisis in Turkey and the important lessons it holds for India and the rest of the world. Turkey's economy is in turmoil, marked by skyrocketing inflation, a depreciating currency, and the government's struggle to manage these economic challenges. Key points and takeaways from the video include: 1. Turkey's economic situation: Turkey's economy has been in distress, with its currency, the Turkish Lira, losing almost half of its value in a year. The country faces issues like high inflation, soaring current account deficits, and a general economic downturn. 2. Causes of the crisis: The video explains how Turkey's economic woes are a result of various factors, including excessive borrowing, a rising current account deficit, and a depreciating currency. The situation was worsened by external factors like the Russia-Ukraine war and the COVID-19 pandemic. 3. Political decisions and elections: Turkey's government made short-term, people-pleasing decisions, such as decreasing interest rates to gain favor during elections. These policies led to increased inflation and the depreciation of the currency. 4. India's situation: India faces similar challenges, with a high current account deficit and an energy dependency on oil imports. However, India has taken long-term measures to reduce these dependencies and manage its economic situation. 5. Lessons for India: The video emphasizes that India should not rely solely on GDP as an economic metric and should consider other indicators like fiscal deficit, import deficits, and interest-to-revenue receipts. India should also focus on increasing exports, reducing import dependencies, and not prioritize politics over economics, especially during election times. 6. The importance of informed citizens: The video encourages informed citizens to question politicians and understand the economic implications of people-pleasing policies. Overall, Turkey's economic crisis serves as a cautionary tale for India and other countries, highlighting the consequences of prioritizing short-term political gains over sound economic decisions.

Iyengar is a sub caste of the Brahmins.Traditional owners of Iyengar bakery are mostly selling the business as the next generation is not interested in continuing the business. In some places the business is purchased by non Iyengar community and continuing the business for the brand name.

Thats quite a brainwashed comment. BJP is doing the same in election states. Modi has sent indias external debt spiralling to 3x, inflation is double digit and unemployment has led to decline in peoples income. 60% of indians are below poverty line and we are blowing up money on G20s purely politics. So go vote for whoevers noise appeals to you, but dont delude yourself that Modi is a economic wizard. Quite the opposite.
Whoever does poor financial management, engages in religious politics, and promotes hatred against minorities, this will be the result. Lastly, we need to stop providing freebies not only for the common man but also for corporates. Nearly 25 lakh crore waivers have been given to billionaires.
One of the best case study on economics I would say. The GDP growth of India is achieved mainly due to inflation rather real growth. It is similar to company growing profits from increase of price rather volumes😂
But, if you compare the inflation rates from 2014 to 2023 and 2004 to 2014, you can see that the current govt has efficiently managed the inflation better than the past govt. Also, point to note is that, even after the Corona period, our economy didn't suffer much loss.
This is an important case study where the entire citizen of India should understand before going to exercise their most important right(voting). Unfortunately you have only 3.49M subscribers. I think it's the duty of each and every subscriber to share as much as possible.
Increasing interest rates actually doesn't decrease the price of a lot of products, instead the prices of products are increased, employees are fired and companies score record profits. It is only the common person that can't buy the products. For a lot of businesses they still can book record profits.
Freebies making us(tamilnadu) into more graveness, as the govt don't have enough money they're not spending for infrastructure and development. Thanks for making it❤
As a Turkish citizen i can guarantee that this video summarized our economic history truly. Increasing interest rates against hikes in inflation was a big mistake. Nowadays our central bank and treasury trying to apply more customary policies in order to gain the trust of foreign investors but unfortunately people experiences the negative impacts of increase in taxes.
Your videos are top Notch bro. I got interested more on Business after watching think school. Writing CAT and hoping to get 100 percentile and get my Dream business college IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore or Calcutta and Pursue PGDM in Finance and Banking

Much appreciated for the research to understand the economic situation of a country who is choosing religion instead of country. Keep it up 👍

Then suddenly In our shop A customer comes who was Indian origin but lives in Qatar
we had never think that we can even export in Foreign countries as we have such a small shop
But This is what government had changed Scenario for business like Us
from My shop and my Both uncle shops we nearly Supply 1Cr Worth sarees to Qatar every month
This is not our 20%
now we will start increasing it with time

Hi bhaiya.... If you look at the "BANGALORE IYENGAR BAKERY" and do a case study.. this bakery is will known in Karnataka and other South Indian states but It's is not a registered company.. it is quite interesting 🤔🤔🤔
It’s not owned by a single entity but owned by individuals who hail from the Hassan district of Karnataka and belong to the Iyengar sect of Brahmin community
Iyengar is a sub caste of the Brahmins.Traditional owners of Iyengar bakery are mostly selling the business as the next generation is not interested in continuing the business. In some places the business is purchased by non Iyengar community and continuing the business for the brand name.

Modi for prosperity
Thats quite a brainwashed comment. BJP is doing the same in election states. Modi has sent indias external debt spiralling to 3x, inflation is double digit and unemployment has led to decline in peoples income. 60% of indians are below poverty line and we are blowing up money on G20s purely politics. So go vote for whoevers noise appeals to you, but dont delude yourself that Modi is a economic wizard. Quite the opposite.

Most unbiased economic analysis of India yet
Thanks ❤.... that's a great video...the way you simplify the economic crisis and make it easy to understand for us is great.😊
For me I watch your video to learn about business only but you talk about all the economics I really want to say thankyou
Excellent video as always .. the cherry on the cake is you are asking the question in the middle.. that's is very very good..
Freebies making us(tamilnadu) into more graveness, as the govt don't have enough money they're not spending for infrastructure and development. In tamilnadu even lower middle class people don't want to send their children to govt school, bcoz they are not spending more money on govt school. Recently started to give 1000rs to selective people and increased liquor revenue to compensate. These people's pleasing policy destroying us.
