Did you guys have to modify the wiring harness and reflash the ECU at all? I've always wanted to use this setup, the trans modifications seem pretty simple, im just worried about electronics
Hi mate. Looking at doing the reverse pinion swap for my bug - have a turbo legacy as a motor donor. Can you explain the difference between turbo and non turbo transmissions? The strength differences or just ratio? Cheers

No, there's no need to re-flash the computer or change any wiring. everything works as it should.
I have seen some people blowing the ring and pinion when off road . Do you know why its happening?

Mostly just ratio in the newer ones. The older ones the turbo ones were stronger too
