oh noooo :c what about the more recent music additions, or the non-java minecraft tracks? (c418 is a legend, but lena raine & co. did some spectacular work i gotta say)
i like that (from what i've heard so far) there's no undertale leitmotifs inserted haphazardly, it really makes this feel like a small chunk of the album from another universe where toby fox composed minecraft's soundtrack, rather than undertale remixes of existing minecraft songs. really well done
@oniflora it was highly enjoyable to listen to familiarity of the two games OST. I heard Minecraft and Undertale without both of them trying to get over each other, but working in almost harmony. You got a new follower from me for this! Will be very interested to see your other works!
Long ago, two races ruled the Overworld. HUMANS and PIGLINS. One day, war broke out between the two races. After a long battle, the humans were victorious. They sealed the Piglins in the Nether with a magic spell. Many years later… 20XX Legends say that those who pass through the Nether Portal never return.
That dosent matter. It thinks we are part of the game. It is reading our thoughts as though they were words on a screen. That is how it chooses to imagine things, when it is deep in the dream of a game.
Words make a wonderful interface. Very flexible. And less terrifying than staring at the reality behind the screen. They used to hear voices. Before players could read. Back in the days when those who did not play called the players witches, and warlocks. And players dreamed they flew through the air, on sticks powered by demons. What did this player dream? This player dreamed of sunlight and trees. Of fire and water. It dreamed it created. And it dreamed it destroyed. It dreamed it hunted, and was hunted. It dreamed of shelter.
Hah, the original interface. A million years old, and it still works. But what true structure did this player create, in the reality behind the screen? It worked, with a million others, to sculpt a true world in a fold of the ***§§§???, and created a **??§§ for **??§§, in the **??§§. It cannot read that thought. No. It has not yet achieved the highest level. That, it must achieve in the long dream of life, not the short dream of a game.
Does it know that we love it? That the universe is kind? Sometimes, through the noise of its thoughts, it hears the universe, yes. But there are times it is sad, in the long dream. It creates worlds that have no summer, and it shivers under a black sun, and it takes its sad creation for reality. To cure it of sorrow would destroy it. The sorrow is part of its own private task. We cannot interfere.
Sometimes when they are deep in dreams, I want to tell them, they are building true worlds in reality. Sometimes I want to tell them of their importance to the universe. Sometimes, when they have not made a true connection in a while, I want to help them to speak the word they fear.
This was so perfect. I'm lacking on music theory terminology, but I really appreciate how these are arranged more like a cover than a direct interpolation, with new phrases and tones being added. Less like taking a picture of the same place with a different lens but painting what you feel about it years later. An echo of the original, a beautiful memory.
Moog city sounding like CORE is sweet. Most people would just lazily take a midi of all these songs, slap soundfont instruments used in undertale on it and call it good. Actual effort was put into this, so kudos to you :)
I honestly thought you put the ruins motif in Living Mice at the beginning, but that's just what the notes are. Very clever use of Ruins for that track especially.
It's so cool that this was more than just "download midi file of the song and switch the instruments" you actually made some slight changes to the composition that I feel are more distinctly Undertale-esque, like shifting certain melody lines to different octaves and playing with different timing. These are about as remixed as they can be while still being Minecraft songs and it's really awesome. Great stuff.
You could tell me that this version of Key here was actually part of either Undertale or Minecraft's OST and I'd probably believe you without too much convincing. I'd love to see more of this.
i love being able to identify the songs like subwoofer being undertale and door being sans i think? i dunno but i love undertale so much and minecraft has had a special place in my heart since i was like 6 i literally listened to its soundtrack falling asleep last night and these songs you made just make me smile staring at the little ruins block and listening. thank you keep it up

Man, I've had enough of the recommendations I get from UA-cam's algorithm. Seriously. There can't be a single day when using this app that I don't come across an indie artist from absolute nowhere to fascinate me and revive what little faith in humanity (and, sometimes, my will to live) I have. I find it amazing that this online platform serves me the most depressing, most innovative or funniest pieces of art I've ever seen, over and over again, on a daily basis. A month ago I reached the milestone of giving 5000 likes. If I keep this up, eventually I'm going to do the same but with indie music. But well, in the meantime, I'm not going to get tired of filling my subscription box with more little artists; and here's another channel that will fill my already massive stream of notifications every time I go online.
Normally I’m not a fan of these sound font swaps; I find them to be rather low-effort and don’t often sound very good in the end. But this is really something else. It’s clear you put much more effort into choosing the right instruments and making sure it sounds good in the end. Idk if you did more mastering or audio effects or what, but several of the songs sound fantastic, and I really wanna hear more. It’s like these games were made to have their sounds swapped. I thought this was going to be one of those lazy ones where they just easily swap the instruments and that's the entire cover but i was suprised! You did a really great job on this!
where these tracks would belong in game, in my opinion. 0:03 Key - Waterfall, specifically the quiet area, replacing "It's raining somewhere else" 2:08 Door - If there was a Christmas event in Snowdin, probably in the pacifist ending. 3:53 Subwoofer Lullaby - When most of the monsters see the surface for the first time, but the part where it gets quiet and changes is Asgore and Toriel breaking down and remembering their children... but then the song gets lighter when they come to terms with the fact that that is distant past, and they have the future to determine, as well as frisk to fill the hole some and brighten their lives. 7:07 Death - You just walking through Asgore's garden and murdering him and Flowey, the eerie tone showing your malice and uncaring in genocide. 7:43 Living Mice - As people have said, the ruins, but I think it's showing your story with Toriel, each tone shift a change in the place in the story, beginning with her guiding you through the first puzzles, and then you exploring on your own, discovering the wonders and limits of this place, then slowing back down when you meet each other again, but with a bittersweet tone in the music because you both know you can't stay, but aren't willing to face it. The climax of the music is when you two are forced to fight, and the brief period of it being somber afterwards is the resolution, whether you were able to spare her or were forced to push through. If only it didn't have to be this way 10:09 Moog City - The introduction to the core, but different from the original game. In this one, you don't have Alphys to help you initially and you are very lost and confused, but she finds you wandering in there and decides to help you even though she isn't supposed to, and you two slowly get more confident and comfortable with each other, blazing through the puzzles as a team. (her finding you was when the music slowed down, and notice how the music is more controlled after that point) 12:16 Haggstrom - New Home... A comforting and familiar aura... even though it shouldn't be 14:22 Minecraft - Minecraft Just my thoughts, feel free to give me your opinions and thoughts

theyre definitely going to be the most difficult 😭 im considering doing something with some of the more chiptune tracks for them, not sure which yet tho
Awesome work, I'm always impressed when videos like these aren't just lazy midi slaps
OH MY GOD!!! THIS IS PEAK ART AT THE FINEST FORM OMG!!! WORDS CANT EVEN EXPRESS HOW PERFECT, BRILLIANT, AMAZING THIS IS!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
Nice job, this will have more views in the future for sure.
*Knowing that one day, the Living Mice might enter the rocket, and fly to venus to eat the cheese, it fills you with DETERMINATION
Subwoofer Lullaby has an almost entirely different vibe in this format, but honestly I live for it. It's so beautiful like this. Great job with the OST!
9:22 You say it's in the style of Undertale, but this is very much Homestuck right here. Gives me LoHaC vibes.
Same thing ain't it?
@thewisewillow Ultimately, it's the style of Toby Fox.
This is some great stuff! I love that you didn't just swap the sound fonts over but actually did proper covers!
YESSS thank god this isn't just a midi with a soundfont put onto it but actually has more thought put into it
These musics always help me calm down 😅

Dude, it's really beautiful. Can't wait for the secong part
Please, I absolutely beg You, this is amazing, continue it and do the other parts, i swear that would be the best thing ever, I loved this!!!!!!
Great call to keep it focused on just the Minecraft songs without undertale melodies inserted. Living mice already sounds like an undertale song and it’s fascinating to hear it in that familiar style
I like how you think Living Mice is the ruins at first.
Living Mice is Ruins from an alternate universe and I LOVE it
Still surprised there hasn't been a full on undertale mod yet.
Subwoofer lullaby has some very earthbound sounding notes in the background at 4:50 ish very nice
*Knowing one day you will roll for a 5 emerald mending book fills you with determination.
subwoofer lullaby as the track undertale is everything i never knew i needed
Actually crazy that it's a reimagining of the entirety of Volume Alpha and not just Minecraft Midis with a random soundfont
Can’t wait for Part 2!
This is incredible! You captured the adapted the soundtrack and style so well. Love how you utilized Undertale's instruments and soundfonts
This sounds great and lovely, I wish we could get a playlist version of each music individually, this is peak
These are all bangers omg, two of my hyperobsessions combined in such a beautiful way ❤
The music Box tone for Haggstrom fits perfectly
This is one of the most well done mix for alpha i ever seen, now we just need the beta album
A combinination of the two best game soundtracks in history, this is insane man!
Yoo this is really good. Nice job! This deserves a sub
This is the best thing ever made the two best sound tracks i love you for making this
I listened to this the day it came out, this is the best Christmas gift of the year. Thank you
moog city goes SO HARD I hope this video blows up
Se nota el esfuerzo y el corazón puesto en este video, amo los dos soundtracks y esta idea está muy bien llevada.
