Predaplanning to send Drosophyllum hydra is pretty good too, next turn you can get rid of an opponents monster that has a predator counter and special summon him to your field

Look-on one hand, respect to y’all for trying something creative and fresh. It’s risky as hell but big props to making a bold call and staking your play on it. But it seems too clever by half. I think there’s potential in the Predaplant stuff, but this reads like the opposite side of the early insistence by so many high-profile players that “Adventure is the best way to play Branded.”
I guess I’m just confused-I keep hearing from the Branded-Predaplant YCS players that the deck was the right meta-call. It had some obvious advantages on the now well-known Branded-Despia build, like the hand traps, but equally obvious is that the call was wrong. Whatever it’s weaknesses, Branded-Despia can clearly play through most disruptions, at least at this point in the format. Innovation like this build is a great thing because I suspect the deck will have to transform in this direction eventually. I was definitely rooting for you guys too because I’ve learned a lot from listening to your streams. But idk-like the Adventure vs. Pure thing-sometimes less is more 🤷🏼♂️
Yeah Ive been doing test hands and I feel the pure variation still packs the bigger punch this format
The deck is strong but you can't misplay with your interactions. Despia and swordsoul are much more forgiving in that aspect.

@@prixswrld no because as someone who was labbing this deck months before, it had its disadvantages and advantages, but like, it was definitely hype. I don't get it. People are inflating the price of a card, in a deck that will only see fringe play and is meta call. I like the deck and its good imo. But like, you can play any variation and do well. It's branded.

I was always a supporter of Preda-Despia even early on when Despia got revealed. Finally its getting it shine in comp-play.

I often question whether this deck wants to play the DPE package... Destiny Fusion can be searched... though I guess doing so usually takes away your access to Super Poly and searching another needed spell like Branded Fusion.
Takes up at minimum 3 slots 2 of which being bricks in a deck that has almost no space. Also DPE isn't super good this format. 3 of the current meta decks off the top of my head have in engine destruction protection. Also celestial is most likely always dead with despia. Maybe if DPE returns to the format it might be a good idea.
@@Xvhalk3rieX I wonder if replacing the masquerade with Chimerafflesia would add more versatility. I was also thinking if Ultrapoly and maybe 1 Dramaturge could find space in this deck you could make some really extended boards.
Respect for the creativity and bravery to play this deck at the YCS but everyone I saw run this deck didn’t do well in the tournament, which kinda questions if it actually was the right meta call, you feel me?
I think they expected more Despia Branded showings in which case it would’ve been the correct call, but instead there was a lot of Swordsoul. And also, there was only a handful of people on the deck.

Well the Therions would have taken the Handtrap spots, an they did explain why they played so many handtraps. They just valued their reasons for the handtrap lineup over the one omni negate therions give you going first, which kinda makes a lot of sense. Therions give you one negate going first, thats it - also you cant utilize them except by harddrawing them - they dont synergize with the deck at all. They are just not great in that kinda deck.

Cobra does the same thing that Alba Lenatus does but better. Therions might be too clunky.

What? No dude. Bought the same cards. But had different side decks based on personal preference. They wanted to insure a top of some kind. Couldn't really do it. Pak went liek what 8-3?

@@RedDarkMoon-Yu-Gi-Oh-Channel you discard it and then you only need to Fusion summon. It works well :) if you Play branded opening than its also consistent

Pure predaplant is better honestly imo
What is pure? No branded? But I don't thats the case. Like difo made the deck actually work, pure, but branded does so much for the deck even if you aren't summoning mirror jade. Being able to put extra fusion monsters on the field and grave is so good for fusioning summon. Branded fusion is an amazing starter/extender for the deck. It also can send your byblisp to the grave to get searches.
@@jdamourep the only branded cards i use branded fusion, albaz, and 5 fusions. I don’t completely don’t rule them out bc they do help but predaplants can do a lot on their own. The problem they had was they ran outta sources too quickly and didn’t have a consistent way of distribute preda counters. Manipulates levels that ppl don’t really pay attention to and can easily OTK with triphy going 2nd.
@@TeeVarz yeah, but the issue with your statement is that its over all false. Yeah they can do a decent amount on their own, and when branded ultimately falls out of favor they will probably have to move towards something else, probably pure with master of dragon magic and patchwork. But branded not only gives them more ways to play through disruption, and extend, but gives them the proper follow up they still kinda lack. You can do ALL the things predap can do, BUT MORE. I don't see how you what you say is completely relevant. Like you don't run any of the other cards that make this version so good/better like aluber/opening. Pure is just statistically worse. And those problems that you mentioned, the only one that truly exists now was resources/follow up and branded helps alot with that. Prepaplant does ALOT more on their own, after difo, but this is the best version current, and it still feels like it's own deck because you can tell that branded stuff is only there to help, not take over.
