@@NightInACity this model has not got the ability to add a rear or extra camera if that's what you mean mate. The next model up does though
Thank you for this review, I read that it was very dark at night and dark in the day, ! But this looks good to me, as we don,t have good Wi-Fi, and GPS takes time to connect, so looking for a basic,I will be getting the upgrade to this 222x,

I have the 222X version with the rear view cam, and it works well. All the 2nd generation Nextbase cameras now record in MP4 format, where as the previous 1st generation used .MOV format. The advantage is that I can now transfer and view footage to my mobile phone view USB OTG, without having to use any special viewer, or convert the file format. This also means not having wait until you have a PC/MAC. This is a great advantage to the non WiFi version of the Nextbase dash cams, like the 122/222/222X.

Ok! I brought the 222x with rear view.. very good..i am uploading to my pc. No need to use Nextbase. As The cloud only lasted 30 days..i brought 128 gb.class 10 U3! You need the right s card to get good content...and it is picture slides when you review. Not a moving picture. Good dash cam.😀
Well I went to my local Best Buy to get one as it was on sale. And it did not incl the suction mount. So not sure why your box had it but here in Canada the package doesn't mention having one.
Do I have to use a Nextbase sd card or is any brand ok? I only ask because I saw on the box that it says "Be Sure To Use nextbase SD card".
Can u swivel the camera? Say if law endowment stops u and u want to get a visual does the camera do a 180 or 360?

Do you know what the parking mode is like? Will the camera turn on automatically if the car is bashed, even without having power from the car fueling the camera battery?
I've just purchased the same camera but haven't set it up yet. The camera feeds off the cars electrical system when ignition on but when you kill the power or remove the key the camera will switch on using the cameras internal battery. I think you have to change default settings and switch to parking mode also.
I would expect more for that price... maybe not some fancy stuff but quality is not really that amazing, its not great in direct sunlight(I always wonder why dash cameras dont set exposure point lower than center so it dont pick sky...)and also even cheap chinese cameras for 60-80 bucks have BT or Wifi...
At least Night shoots are good, frames dont drop...

The Dash Cam automatically switches into “parking mode” by shutting down everything except the G Force sensor as soon as you park and turn off your ignition.
A G-Sensor is an accelerometer that registers values based on the amount of force applied during an impact. When a pre-set value is reached, this will cause the recorded footage to be protected and moved into a folder that cannot be overwritten by any further footage you record. These values are set by your Dash Cam’s firmware upon installation.
Does anyone if with this dashcam the videos get automatic uploaded or sent to you phone/main account?
I got my dashcam stolen and it was kinda pointless to spend $140 for a cam that has no app or uploads things without having to transfer them:(

I just ordered a refurb 222 off ebay for $22 delivered.
Quality looks great but size too big to be left on windscreen for security reasons. Removing it from the magnetic mount and reconnecting it every time isn't practical and user friendly to me.

I am sorry to say that but I saw 522 GW Nextbase cam at 1:01 if you looked at it. Then you gave a link to buy 222 GW. I just dont think you made a review of 222 GW. Please correct me if I am wrong.

How do I view rear view. U only showed us the front view. The dash cam come with rear view pls
It stores one rear view one front viev one rear view one front viev video on video files to wach.

How do you keep footage if the camera resets every 3 minutes?
You can set it to record in either 1 minute, 3 minute or 5 minute files. It only resets (deletes) the footage when the memory card is full and then the whole process starts over again. Hope this is of some help to you, all the best from the far north of New Zealand.

Have a look at the options. It should start recording when it gets power and vice-versa
@@Ryaniwk THERES NO OPTION FOR AUTO START ÀND TO HAVE THE SCREEN ON AT ALL TIME. THE SCREEN SHUTS DOWN AFTER 1 OR 2 MINS AND IDK IF ITS STILL RECORDING

Yes it does, Nextbase call it 'intelligent parking mode'

The locals seem to have a liking for rubbish strewn streets, would it be to much effort for the local house owners to clean up their own streets and take some pride of their neighbourhood.

I drove HGVs for many years and bags of shit piled up outside of shops was the norm I’m afraid, it’s how they live!
