I had the pleasure if meeting Alan one night when he played with Mac (dr john) uptown at Tipitiana's, we met em both. R.I.P. Dr. John, born Malcolm John Rebennack, {November 20th,1941 - June 6th, 2019}...
Between 1972 and 1974 the New Orleans native had four records on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, one made the Top 10, "Right Place Wrong Time", it peaked at #9 {for 2 weeks} on June 24th, 1973 and spent twenty weeks on the Top 100...
His three other Top 100 records were "Iko Iko" {#71 in 1972}, "Such A Night {#42 in 1973}, and "(Everybody Wanna Get Rich) Rite Away" {#92 in 1974}...
