Monster Bone+ is technically available right from the start of the game. The easiest ways to get them is to just stam the 2* Guild Quests for Yian-Garuga or Daimyo Hermitaur. If you know this, one cheesy way to get through low rank is to get the Bulldrome Hammer to the highest level, which the only rare materials you will need, are monster bone+. Just as a quick tip for new ppl that wanna try MHFU the cheesy way~
The most important thing that keep Old Gen fun is because how hard it is to make the gear, and not all of them is overpowered like Fatalis set in Iceborne
And the way you make them makes it a lot more personal. You really need to work for your armor sets in the older games. And I don't mean just hunting the same monster over and over again. Most sets require you to hunt different monsters and explore different localles to get the materials and you even have to sell some stuff to get the money for it. It's so satisfying when you finally wear it.
You couldnt use bombs against kushala because on jungle when its raining bombs are useless. Maps used to have time of day and weather things that would affect gameplay. Another one is area 10 can't be accessed at night because of the tide getting higher

I love new age MonHun but old school sure was charming. Thunder Rods are Bombs replacements for maps where is raining but I don't recall how they work... ths rly brings back memories, back when i still playing MH1 on Ps2. im so shocked after crafting Lao Shan's Great Sword, i literally thought it was hidden weapon type, its basically Long Red Flaming styled Katana, then the hype suddenly went poof after trying it on kut ku, it works just like GS 😂 they make it right on the 2nd Gen tho!

You can bring the combo books so that you won't fail on crafting ammos. Nice to see you using 3rd person aim now. i remember when you start your MHFU run on Twitch I keep telling you to use 3rd person but you're used to 1st person as you said. lol
@@unlimited971 yeah but by that point you shoulnd be struggling as much. the trick is early game, take as much opportunity to gather account items to gather points and zenny, it will add up. plus theres alwasy the option of fighting a monster for money by selling the rewards. either way taking months to farm for an armor or weapon is insane.
Ah... spending hours going to different locales, hunting different monsters, and selling a bunch of shit for money, just for one set to hunt one monster. Honestly, that to me is the purest MH experience.
It doesn't matter how much HP the elder dragon had. If it survived to 25 min mark even with 1 HP the next quest it always gets half of the original HP. (played with HP cheats back in the day when this game came out xD 1.5k hours on 3 Profiles). Btw it's better to play 2nd G than Unite. Reason? The blood was nerfed for EU :D Shen Gao-Ren. Most boring fight in the game. Congrats though !
im pretty sure the daimyo in the low rank hub drops monster bone+ fairly often, thats how i always used to farm those. also im pretty sure heroics and adrenaline dont stack in unite, you can only use either or.

wait if you are using herois that ammount of health does not activate it. needs to be lower (minimum is 10 health). only adrenaline activates with a bit more health. on the other hand seemingly without knowing your strat is actually the ideal way to destroy shen. since his weakpoint is inside the shell, so truly what matters is not how many body parts pierce is hitting but that its hitting the weakpoint. the weakpoint can also be hit with melee but its harder for someone new to know exactly the spot.
Graphics are 10x better than in World and Rise which is just garbage. I dunno what you're talking about man. I'll take FU graphics over World/Rise ALL DAY.

They work similar to smallbombs, maybe faster so you want to dodge or run after placing it.

The real threat for gunners in mhf: Small Monsters.
