There are a lot of channels out there now with trick tips, but there are very, very few with as much detail as yours. Where to have your weight, which part of your truck is on the coping, how to position your shoulders/head - these are things that are really important to my style of learning, and they are missing from the majority of tips. So, thanks for teaching in a way that suits how I learn!
Great video. Got feeble to fakie this week but for some reason the 5-0 to fakie scares the crap outta me. I'm 42 and I need this trick in my stable before it's too late. Thanks for the tips.
idk why but this trick was so much harder/scarier learning than blunts to me cuz blunts u just pop and ur pretty much good but pivot fakies i feel like the chance of hanging up is a lot higher. finally learned em tho! they clicked after i was just doin 50 stalls to warm up for it and i realized the lock in/pinch on the back trucks pretty much the same for pivot fakies then its just a feeble fakie coming back in. thinking about it that way made it less scary to me haha
feeble was easier till i fugured out how to balance the pivot. perfect tutorial chad! this is my all time fav trick, i got it on lock still tday and 44 yrs old. pool coping is the my favorite because they stick perfectly!
i learned feeble fakie, pivot fakie, and then axle stall fakies during the hokus pokus era, when the axle stall fakie came out it blew me away. that is no reverting back in fakie, straight up pivot fakie back in! you definetely got to commit on that trick! nothing compared to back reverts though i never got those!! thx chad. the back revert is the most unnatural movement cause you cant see where u going, on vert definetely insane!
This is my favorite trick . Learned feeble fakie first, then stall fakies, then pivot fakie!!! You definetely have to commit on this one! Awesome advice chad!!! Awesome channel.
Best mini ramp tutorials I’ve been able to find. Thanks! Could you make a trick progression video or series, as in first 10 ticks or so beginners should learn. I feel as though I’m at the point where all I do is rock to fakie or roll and axel stalls to tail stalls and don’t know the next best tricks to progress to.
Been skating over 15 years never even bother trying to learn vert but now that I'm almost 30 and tryna skate again vert seems like a good way to get back into it
I love that you put in slomos, focus on foot pressure to get wheels over the coping, head direction... such much detail, missing in a lot of other videos. Good job!
Chad these tips are so helpful! I have bs feeble fakie because it feels more comfortable like you said. I would love to see some raw footage of you shredding the mini ramp! I just wanna see you having fun on the ramp because watching people have fun is the biggest inspiration for me to learn new tricks and I think a lot of other people think that way without knowing it. Maybe like 15 minute episodes or something like that, just my thoughts. Your trick tips are legit the best on youtube I was so happy when I found your channel like 2 weeks ago or something
Love hearing that and yeah same here I love watching people having fun and getting amped up.. I linked at the end of this video to a video of me learning 5 tricks on the ramp, thanks for the input always looking for new video ideas
Chad your channel is awesome. I love how you break down the trick. I’ve tried this trick and some others (front smith, blunt fakie) forever without luck, but these explanations give me some hope to step up my mini ramp game! Thanks!
going for it is definitely the key. I cant do these because i cant do pivots but i can do feeble stall to fakie. one tip i have to get used to holding the manual long enough is to start decking your rock to fakie. If you can completely stall in the rock and then come back in fakie you should have confidence you can come back in from a pivot. the decked rock helps you get used to that split second freefall you feel when coming back in fakie off the coping. i just wish i could do pivots/bs5-0 stalls.
Great tip, as always. This is a trick i never thought about trying but seems like it could be the next ramp trick for me after seeing this. Don't seem too hard but than again you make all the stalls look easy.
Can you make a tutorial on how to blunt stall? The ones that are currently on UA-cam are not very helpful, specifically about how to get into the stall (get the back wheels over the coping)
If you get stuck like I did. I would suggest going first backside smith to fakie. Then just dipp your nose less and less. It is Little different way to do the trick and there is more revert, but this can be usefull way to learn. Also try 50-50 fakie. There is no fear of hanging up, when front wheels are inside the ramp. I hope this helps.
Im gonna go an try this today. Im really scared of miniramps cause i broke my leg once on a Fs 50/50. I'll tell you later if i commited of i am in the hospital, lol.
there isnt anything you SHOULD or SHOULD NOT have... loose trucks may help with some things and tight trucks others... but it is completely up to you and your style of skating.
Love your tutorials man! Just a quick note - when you say 'keep looking left' e.g. - I'm goofy and had to flip it in my mind. For the kids out there maybe clarify "left if regular like I am, right if goofy..." ;)
I really wish there was a way of learning this trick that didn't have to involve going straight into the stall because I can never get it. My wheels always get caught on the way in and I always get thrown off. Shame because this trick is easily one of my faves and I can't do it nor can I figure out a method of learning it that makes sense to me 😭
i started now learning them... and after around 100 more tries i am quite frustrated... i cannot get my wheel back over the coping into the transition... i am almost standing in blunt already, but still the wheel is locked and won't come of... Btw your variation (pivot boardstall) is super easy to me, because it feels way more natural... weird. Any more tips on the toe pressure thing?
Been feeble fakieing for ages but still can't pivot fakie, get into it then whenever I go to get back out I just come off the board, anything I'm doing wrong?
The only thing bugged me about 5-0 tricks is i cant ever keep the tail down, like always ended up to axle stalls. Or maybe cause im too afraid to lean back? Any sugestion?
This is a Very underated channel
And a underated comment
Agreed

Yeah Chad! You do the best mini ramp how-to's on UA-cam. Keep them coming!
Thank you Wayne, will do!

A good one to get into the movement is switch crook to fakie

good tip thanks
That’s a great tip, decking your rock to fakies definitely helps, sounds like your ready to learn em
Keep doing these vids @Chad Caruso! Love your content dude
Hey man, love your vids. Question; is this the first stall to fakie or do you have another one you would recommend to get comfortable getting in fakie
love that trick just learned them once again
Sick trick.
Super difficult trick..
But great tricktip!✨
Congratulations and thanks! your videos are awesome!
love your videos man, keep it up, learning a lot
Great videos man, thanks for taking the time! Just learned this one today :D stoked
Great tip, as always. This is a trick i never thought about trying but seems like it could be the next ramp trick for me after seeing this. Don't seem too hard but than again you make all the stalls look easy.
You can do em 100%
I sure hope so be nice to get another stall under my belt
Explained so well! Thank you!
love your trick tips mate. cheers
Thank you 🍻
Thank you for this! Subbed!

Really like these mini tips vids you do, keep up tha good work
Nate! Thank you!
bro, me and my friend landed this trick today after watching the vid! thanks a lot tho
Im gonna go an try this today. Im really scared of miniramps cause i broke my leg once on a Fs 50/50. I'll tell you later if i commited of i am in the hospital, lol.
Get it!
Its like a twist thing.
Reminds me of that dude who played Venom lol!
Yo Chad hoping to get these down soon along with reverts - should i have loose trucks for tricks ?
there isnt anything you SHOULD or SHOULD NOT have... loose trucks may help with some things and tight trucks others... but it is completely up to you and your style of skating.
Love your tutorials man! Just a quick note - when you say 'keep looking left' e.g. - I'm goofy and had to flip it in my mind. For the kids out there maybe clarify "left if regular like I am, right if goofy..." ;)
Thanks! I say both ways in some of my other videos but I do occasionally forget, I’ll try to remember for next time
Hey In your opinion do tighter or looser trucks make this trick easier?
loose
I really wish there was a way of learning this trick that didn't have to involve going straight into the stall because I can never get it. My wheels always get caught on the way in and I always get thrown off. NIce! Good advice!

Damn. This is so scary, what about axle stalls/5050s to fakie?
Jason Lam i cant do none of them bur, that one seems way scarier doesnt it?
is it easier or harder than blunt fakie because i can blunt fakie and i’ve never tried pivot fakie.
Nice!
Dude I needed this I only can do this on a tech deck lmao
Hahhah
Ha
Best videos ive found to learn shit
Been feeble fakieing for ages but still can't pivot fakie, get into it then whenever I go to get back out I just come off the board, anything I'm doing wrong?
The only thing bugged me about 5-0 tricks is i cant ever keep the tail down, like always ended up to axle stalls. Or maybe cause im too afraid to lean back? Any sugestion?
had the same issue. the tip with looking forward to the deck and keeping shoulders parallel to the coping, helped me removing this issue.
Dr Faust oh right, gotta try that shoulder hacks, thanks!
no way around the inevitable - u have to fakie manual back in
Did it today, after fucking 2 hours of trying or so! Thank you man!!!
This is a trick i need, i jump off everytime for whatever reason.
Chad, where are you from?
I’m from Long Island, New York
Yeah man.
Yeah JOSSH
I don't know anyone who just felt like pivot fakies were comfortable whaen they were just starting to skate ramps haha
Eaten so much shit learning this
I always thought this was a 0-5
5418
man, i love your voice. no homo!! lmao
I hate pivot fakie!
