I've had mine for a few weeks. I converted to Kobo from my Kindle Paperwhite, and I absolutely LOVE this device. The buttons in itself were a huge plus for me. I almost got the oasis strictly for the buttons, but I know that they're slowly becoming outdated and hard to find. I did a bunch of research on different devices, and I couldn't be happier with the KLC! Note taking, annotating, and color all in one?? What more could you ask for 😍
@@Alaska_Eshmadaikindle isn't that great in my opinion. You can't sideload in as many formats. Also kindle unlimited limits you to 20 books at a time and Kobo plus doesn't. You also can't connect kindle to the library directly like you can with Kobo in my country.
I love how simple and customisable the Kobo are is to use. I have an old generation of kobo but still works well. Love being able to use overdrive natively. I may upgrade to colour in the future but the one I got is now then enough for me.
I really wish Kobo would support the audiobook/ebook sync so that you could swap between the two seamlessly like Kindle. That's the only feature I miss from Kindle world.

Hi Great review of the Kobo Libra Colour. I have it too and I’m loving it. I also have a Kindle Paperwhite and most of my books are Kindle books. But when this Kobo came out I had to get it because it’s color and it’s the same perfect size as the now discontinued Kindle Oasis. One thing about your blue cover, you should be able to store your attached pen inside the cover where there is a little space for it there and your cover should close flat. I bought the Kobo beige/off white cover for mine and there is a space to store the pen inside the cover.
I just got my Kobo Libra Colour with the Notebook SleepCover and the Stylus. The hack works great on Windows too. Creating a couple of screensavers was a walk in the park and so much fun! Thanks for sharing this cute customization.
Wow, I am waiting on my Kobo e-reader to arrive and I watched one other tutorial on this. Your video showcases closer to how I would use my device and showcases shortcuts that would be very convenient for me! I am excited to try the custom wallpaper hack!

Do you have to write with the hand off the screen? Seen a lot of reviews saying the screen jumps if your hand touches it. If that’s the case is it easy to adjust to writing with your hand off the screen?

I think the mention of the pen and the lack of placement because of the case is a very good point. It would’ve been nice if they had a little slip pocket on the flap that will utilize the magnet from the pen to keep the case closed when not in use, if that make sense
@@katamogzyes! Thats my biggest concern. I can just throw my kindle in my purse without worry. But the pen is what peaked my interest so I ordered it. I’m big on annotating so this was a dream. But the biggest caveat is that I’m terrified that I might lose the pen. I keep it in my pen case but it defeats the purpose lol. #readerproblems 😂😂

I’m very happy with mine, I have been writing lots of notes while reading. It has simplified my process wayyy more. Do you have any suggestions on how to make the stylus more comfortable? Thankfully it’s light and works well but it feels a bit thin and not as much grip on the body.. so I have felt my hand a little crampy. It could be just me, since this is my first e reader.. so I’m still getting the hang of it. Also I did write a lot 😅 I’m still enjoying it so much though 😁
How do you change the color for the highlighter? No matter which color I chose it shows up the same; no red, no green, no blue, just the "drab" color that is next to the green (circle).
I plan to buy kobolibra color 2 and also use it for notetaking and answering pdf textbooks. Is it possible? I have a pdf textbook from school that I want to put on kobo libra 2. Then answer on my textbook using the ereader. I want to be able to seamlessly transfer the “answered pdf” from kobo to my pc or google drive because sometimes i have to submit them to my professor via email. Is it easy enough for kobo libra colour 2? Or nothing beats ipad?

i believe it’s the refreshing of the page, and it can’t be changed. i’ve never heard anyone complain about it being painful on the eyes, at most slightly annoying before you get used to it. it’s a part of most ereaders since their refresh rate is very slow (purposefully)
An E-Reader is much better for reading books because of its E-Ink display. But it does not replace a tablet. At least you should buy a cheaper monochrome E-Ink reader. And a E-Reader is definitly cheaper than a iPad.
"custom wallpaper" ?? How do you get the custom picture you have to show up as the wallpaper? I just did every step to do the same in your video and theres no such thing as setting a wallpaper. When I turn off my Kobo, the image shown is always the cover of my current book Im reading; never the image I have download. Am I missing something?

I created the new folder and saved the wallpapers in it; they show up as books along with all my other books, and when I put the kobo to sleep, my book cover of the book I’m reading comes up instead of the wallpaper Please help!
I love my kobo libra color, the only downside of this the durability. I accidentally dropped it protected by a sleepover cover. I managed to own it for slightly over 2 weeks and my kobo is totally destroyed😢
here is another story of someone that buy all the accessories to feel cute and cozy, but is not really a reader. People who read don't need all the bs around such as pencils and covers. I bet after the toy is not interesting she will barely use it.
I want to get this device precisely because I prefer taking notes digitally. However, it does not change the fact that you can still easily use It as an ebook reader. If you do not need any additional functions, then just buy a device suitable for your needs. The fact that your needs are different does not make you better.
people annotate actual physical books all the time & have pens and tabs for them too, do you also bash them as “non readers”? people read in different styles, your way isn’t superior, it’s just your way.
You can get the Kobo Libra Colour Notebook SleepCover that stores the pen inside the cover.. You have the regular sleepcover.

Kobo libra color has only 150ppi against 300dpi of e ink 300dpi...better the paperwhite

The stylus will magnetize to the edge on the other side of the device, even with the case on.

You can turn off the settings to jump to next page when tap and make it only change page with swipe. It will stop the jump
