The funniest thing in ED build, that this guy had a skill tree which matches guide skill tree perfectly, and ziz says: "There is no way a recommended this tree in my guide"

Love the critique on the first skill tree... it's almost identical to his PoB non-cluster version xD the "modern art" portion is likely so he can try to fit in Thread of Hope jewel at 95.
Not only is this entertaining but i actually learn a lot watching these. I don't know if you understand as someone who plays by myself casually and doesn't watch others play too much, there is still a great deal i don't know about all these builds, most of builds roasted in these i have never played but helps build my understanding of mechanics more and more watching these and damn is it entertaining. please keep doing these!

I'd like to see a version of this type of format where the problems with the builds aren't so obvious.
We have found THE comedian for PoE. This is seriously underrated - the roasts are hilariously witty!
People always get baited to using baited breath belt as a "cheap alternative" that gives you good ES. People dont realize that a way better cheap alternative is using darkness enthroned with two good/decent 4-stat abyss jewels which are mostly not hard to find. Not only you can get more es compared to baited breath, you can also get additional life, resist, damage, stats, and cool on-kill/on-crit effects. The 75% increased effect of darkness enthroned is so underrated. Example, If you got 30 es/life in two of your jewels, thats105 to es/life. If you got 10 all res to two of your jewels, that 35 all res or 105 total res which is huge. Need extra attributes? You can get upto 35 hybrid stat (exmple 35 to both dex and int), 56 single stat and 28 to all attributes.
Not a bad point but baited is damn good and gives damage too. Spent a load of currency on upgrading to a crystal belt from a decent stygian last time I played ED and then plugged in baited breath later on to find I had only like 50more es and less dmg XD. Similar belts going for several ex as well. Guess the flexibility of a darkness is pretty cool as well, does belt quality stack the jewel mods as well?
@@Al_Does_Stuff Catalyst doesnt stack unfortunately, hence if you got a good stygian, then use it instead. The damage from bated breath is nothing really, you could get way way more damage from darkness enthroned. Example for phys, you can get upto 17.5 to 24.5 flat phys with t1 phys on both jewels. And you can have double attack mods per jewel, lets say t2 phys with bow attacks from both jewels can have upto another 21 to 28 flat phys, so total of 38.5 to 52.5 flat phys.
I tried crafting a chaos wand using your method, but the harvest craft to reforge more likely would more often than not, give me an outcome without the original modifiers it had on it thus losing my +1 to chaos gems and chaos DoT multi.

I think with the ED builds people follow your guide which has evasion + acrobatics up till mapping, but then the next step is CI with full ES. That means a complete overhaul of all gear to make it work. Casual people who follow guides like this (like me) don't have the funds to make such a large switch in one go, but you still want to do something as you hit a ceiling at early mapping. So you end up with a mangled build that can barely do the things you were able to before and no funds to fix things.
Note that those kind of switches, which are easy for a streamer, are break points for casual players because it's a ton of frustration. Often enough they either start a new char or just give up on the season.
This is definitely what has happened in the cases shown in the video. I also fell into the same trap when I reached mid tier maps with ED, using the pre-ci build. I somewhat.. have the funds to switch, but I'm at that frustration point that you mentioned where you ask yourself "should I just reroll?". Unfortunately, veterans of any game, will always end up so assumptious and jaded that they expect people to know the in's and out's of almost every aspect of the game they're trying to help people with.
Ironically enough, as indepth as some of the build guides are, they fail to mention the most BASIC of gameplay drawbacks that could be an absolute deal breaker at later levels of the game. I.E the travel time for ED to proliferate contagion feels terrible to me, even if it's less than 1 second. The clear is 'fun' when the map tier is low enough that the mobs die and contagion proliferates off screen, but what kind of investement is needed for this to continue into tier 14-16? It's already a struggle as is.
Perhaps rambling a little, but oh well.
One final thing. The crafting notes in Ziz's ED guide are ambigious at best. Insulting to a point, considering the constant "use harvest craft to make functional item". You're lucky if harvest gives you the finger when you enter the grove. That'd at least be better than the plethora of dildo's hanging from the branches, just waiting to fuck you.

@@iamvengeance5324 couldn't really anticipate the harvest changes being as bad as they were, but putting more alternatives for crafting es gear is definitely something that can be done (dense fossils/woes/even alt regaling + bench craft for budget pieces)
there's definitely clearly a bigger knowledge gap when it comes to builds like ED, and the damage isn't really up to sc trade standards when not invested into properly

I have like 6k hp ice crush build and one with 2 cold iron daggers (poison blade vortex).
And i was constantly dying till i saw your videos. Now i understand how important to have good flasks, to have good movement during fights( 90% of my deaths was facechecking), about good cluster jewels. I have a lot more to learn, but already improved significantly.
i have a question, when dual wielding is necessary? Like for my poison blade vortex i have 2 cold iron daggers(+6 levels), i guess its better to have some good health res, chaos dmg increase shield?
@@GruffGuy A very good shield is probably better defensively, but on a budget 2 cold irons is probably fine. If you feel you need more defense and your dmg is good, you can get a shield. Either a well crafted rare or just a good unique shield.

May I ask for ideas to fix performance issues I've been experiencing? I can not play on lockstep with solid 30-36ms my fps recently has tanked. at the start of the league I could do content without major fps issues now it almost feels like there is input delay. Thanks for the advise. Also I liked the video it was amusing!

Your helper should install "Grammarly" I can't spell, I make many types use then instead of than and I even misspell the at times, I would show it but Grammarly fixes it now on the spot :) As for your roasts, I get the feeling I should go back to the university classes so I spend less time lost. Like your fix wand is not even something I can do because your using abilities I haven't even seen yet. Yes, I'm still working my way through the first pass through the story. Yup, you guys do it in a few hours and I'm on my second league :) oh and I skipped a league so yes I have much to learn much to experience for take one, and yes I expect to die even more. I'm in SSF so please don't ask me to go buy something :) For me, I should really understand the vendor recipe system better at least for the character I am playing :)

That inquisitor build I'm pretty sure was following the Big Ducks Inquisitor BFBB build. Because I tried it out, and had to basically spend like 40 regrets to make it actually good. The damage was really good but a wet fart would one shot you lol.
I'm on the same build right now, lvl91 and you die a lot on it. The damage is trap, kind of can do high level content but one wrong move and you're dead. High level ultimatums are cancer for it. Got to 5.4k/3k life/es, 0 chaos, immortal call CWDT and now it's okeyish. Thinking about endurance charge generation or more block, but overall not a fan of this playstyle and squishiness
@@_unknown_guy yea I ended up respec-ing into basically the same build by a guy named ds-something-waggle I think. Something waggle. It was a hardcore viable version of the build, which I don't play hardcore but I sure don't like dying a hundred times in one league lol. Normally Big Ducks has...decent builds, but this one was a big swing and miss. Like I said, damage was pretty good but man. Not worth lol.

The problem with the cast on damage taken isn't that he has it its that he leveled it up so high. Leveling it raises the threshold and strength requirement, you stop leveling it very early so as to retain its usefulness
