Hey Ziz. Great guide. I would have loved to see in a little more detail what each variant actually provides. For example with Lethal Pride, Akoya gives Chainbreaker, Kaom gives Strength of Blood, and Rakiata gives Tempered by War. Some sort of quick table when you explained each jewel type would have been awesome.
I thought this video wouldn't be usefull for me since I played a fair amount of time during legion league, then I've learned with your video that the monolithe shows you if there is a boss in the map. So I'll check every videos, ty for it ! :D
When I was new I was terrified to use legion jewels as people described them as "Valling your skill tree". Thought it would permanently krangle my character if I socketed one.
Thank you I had no idea how these worked. A lot of the other league mechanics have a helpful insane person that will tell you what to do but legion lacks this and I never found a good source of info on it.
Well this dummy appreciates all these guides. It's kind of a back to basics series, yet I still feel like I've learned at least 1 thing I didn't know or had forgotten, like a dummy, hehe.
Yo I just wanted to say thanks for all these guides. On the weekend of the league start I was able to build my first gaming PC, which I haven't been able to play PoE since Incursion due to my previous potatoe. So all these guides have really been great from when I struggled to play before and catching up with everything that has come out, since I could only watch videos. I'll need to watch some more of your videos in order to learn how to craft better weapons/armor. Thanks again. Keep up the good work
I have a elegant with 3 minion life, and 2 minion damage. The minion damage node leads to spiritual aid. That is 240% minion life, with 160% minion damage.
I was using elegant hubris last league just for supreme decadence, it was honestly rather nice to have instant ES recovery from flasks for my low life Bane Occultist.
Hello Zizaran, i appreciate your videos and your help. Watched poe university etc, it helped a lot! Its my 3rd season (casual player) and i am struggling to price any item, to be honest. Global chat is always like "5 ex" or "bullshit/trash" - like there was nothing in between 1c and 2ex...I was wondering if you would price viewers items again (think you did once) . Is there a possibility to show you items somehow? Maybe for new videos or so. I would really like to hear from you! Regards :)
do you use awakened poe addon ? it helped me a lot with pricing stuff. and its fast enough too. i found a jewel. i thought, could be 10 chaos ? i priced it and it was worth 1 exalted.
Use awakened poe trade, its the ultimate trade tool for any poe player, even if you cant get the exact price you will still get the Idea of what mods are good or not
Question about "doubling up" mentioned at 1:06 I'm using a Militant Faith with Dominus (Inner Conviction) in that top corner, and have been told by a friend that the 3% more spell damaher per power charge DOES stack. Is it universal that NO keystones stack? Or is it that only certain ones do?
at 3:32 does the Timeless Jewel automatically pick up the nodes in the circle with and without having unlocked (or selected them), or do you have to have the skill dot unlocked before the Timeless Jewel has any effect on that spot?
The problem I have is that it's so hard to accurately predict/see what exactly these Timeless Jewels do on PoB. Some notables don't seem to change when you copy a jewel from the trade site and paste it into PoB. So I just gave up on trying LOL
Yeah it can't be pob'd because each number is different, and it's not by ranges or anything. There's no way for pob to pick up that info, unless GGG publishes a list of what every single number on every jewel does, and there are thousands of numbers and sooo many passives for them to change.
I am kind of new to Timeless jewels and wanting divine flesh in a build and off course would like some good passives to boot. Is it viable to buy them off trade, socket them to see what you got, and then flip them for approximately what you bought them for? Or is it almost a guaranteed that you will get bad rolls when you buy randoms off trade? It seems expensive to divine them since you only even get the one you need 1 in 3 times regardless of the roll.
Karui/Maraketh - Always at least decent unless they krangle a keystone you need Vaal/Empire - Use with caution, they can be great but will krangle your tree if you're not careful Templar - Basically keystone only; you're not going to have 150 devotion and it'll krangle everything else.
Hm. After giving this game a shot for about 70 or so hours, I think I'm done. I think the game is great for long-time players who have grown alongside it or those who have a lot of time to glean the quite frankly staggering number of mechanics, but for me the road ends here. There are simply too many things to keep track of and it feels like the game goes out of its way to obfuscate them and confound you every step of the way. I'm not disparaging the game as I am well aware there is a hardcore market for it, but after my fourth attempt to get into it, I realise it's just not for me. For some reason though, I find watching/listening to these videos far more entertaining than playing the game itself even though I have absolutely no idea what is being talked about.
Just play the main story with a good starter character and get into mapping. All this other stuff is extra and can just be dipped into as you want and learn more.
I have 1k hours and ziz might as well be speaking french in this video for all I know. You actually dont need to know a whole lot to do just fine But if you're not having fun that's obviously the only thing that matters
Hey Zizaran UA-cam Community, I'm looking for a fun build that can go very fast and has enough damage to kill maven! I have the budget to invest but I can't find a build that looks cool pls help :)
I think this is one of stupidest mechanics that exist in the game. On top of all the other rediusouly unnecessarily complicated shit in this game that they coud fix by actually explaining what it does on the tooltips they have this jewel that you have no freaking idea what the numbers do unless you buy it, just like you said in this video it's easy to scam people. What they should be doing is instead of showing a fucking random number actually say what it does in it's description. At the very least there should be a website you can pull up various jewels and plug in numbers to see what they do, or put in what you need and it gives you the jewel/numbers you need to look out for. Having yet additional mechanics like this that no newbie would ever know even exists without seeing a video like his is complete and utter bullshit. Don't get me wrong POE is my favorite ARPG hands down, but devs need to stop doing bullshit like this, there is a difference between adding a lot of depth to a game and a lot of mechanics and things to do, it's another to add completely obscure things that only benefit vets and people who play every league as they are only ones who will be aware of mechanics like while anyone new is left in the dark and never stand a chance. It's already sad as it is and discouraging for anyone new to play an ARPG where they simply cannot actually play this game without months of research and following other people's guides because GGG refuses to make this game more newbie friendly by actually explaining the mechanics in the game and having items actually explain what they do and make sense, and have actual tutorials in game that teaches these various league mechanics at appropriate times. You can't expect a newbie to POE to sit there hundreds of hours of videos and reading a million 3rd party websites so they can play this game. It's so freaking frustrating. and as someone who has 900 hours in POE, i still don't freaking understand most of these mechanics and sure the hell didn't even know legion jewels existed, so how the fuck can newbies know? Not a single quest in game explains legion jewels.. And this idea about "farming legions" makes no freaking sense, this is a random mechanic that you almost never see in maps, it's not a farmable thing, ,you just do it when you come across it. and if you play a build that sucks at them like the SRS build i'm playing, you basically are out of luck. Chance of me ever getting anything useful from legion mechanics is non-existent so i'm left with having to trade for them in the trade league and again having no idea what i would get until i bought one.
PM @steelmage in game for legion jewel price checks!
Don't, please.
And Mathil for everything else. XD
I imagined you giggling manically while typing that
Timeless jewels are a item class?? If I use it on apex of ascension I get a timeless jewel back??
@Wesley Jordy go away
Scissoring just shitting out the content lately I love it!
Picked up a Doryani Timeless jewel just the other day, so thanks for helping me understand it just a bit better!

"There is a purple beam showing boss direction in the monolith" Wait, what?
It's a bit hard to pinpoint, there's a bright purple beam of light coming out of the monolith pointing at generals.
It actually took me 2 years to notice this
Same reaction I had, guess there is always small stuff that flies under your radar. lol
I kidna wish that it was shown in the video. I never realized it was a thing.
Nice tip. Too bad I am doing minions this league. Gl spotting anything with them shits running around.
I thought this video wouldn't be usefull for me since I played a fair amount of time during legion league, then I've learned with your video that the monolithe shows you if there is a boss in the map. So I'll check every videos, ty for it ! :D

Was looking for Watchdogs Legion stacking perks, this video was #6 in search, just though I'd let you know.
Thank you I had no idea how these worked. A lot of the other league mechanics have a helpful insane person that will tell you what to do but legion lacks this and I never found a good source of info on it.
Ziz, I play since Dec 2012 and I still learn a shit ton from your Videos, thank your very much sir!
Well this dummy appreciates all these guides. It's kind of a back to basics series, yet I still feel like I've learned at least 1 thing I didn't know or had forgotten, like a dummy, hehe.
There's too much to remember and too much changing!
I’m learning so much!! Now if only I had the time and brain power to put it all to use 🤣
Thanks for these videos, I've been playing for a few leagues and still don't know how half the stuff works
Great video man! I like how you break stuff down like this. Keep up the good work!
Yo I just wanted to say thanks for all these guides. Legit me and my brother were wondering about legion jewels when you uploaded this video, great stuff mate!
I have a elegant with 3 minion life, and 2 minion damage. The minion damage node leads to spiritual aid.
That is 240% minion life, with 160% minion damage.
Thought I know everything about timeless jewels, but used only lethal pride and actually learned about the other ones.
I was using elegant hubris last league just for supreme decadence, it was honestly rather nice to have instant ES recovery from flasks for my low life Bane Occultist.
Good content, good content. Ziz, you've been tearing up the YT content lately. Keep it up.
Did not know about that beam for the bosses in monoliths.
Have you thought about making a video for conversion mechanics ?

probably should have started with the legion monolith part, but good guide nonetheless :)
3:45 keystone not notable, minor correction.
at 3:32 does the Timeless Jewel automatically pick up the nodes in the circle with and without having unlocked (or selected them), or do you have to have the skill dot unlocked before the Timeless Jewel has any effect on that spot?
im looking to get some specific eternal notables. but i have no way how to go about it.

excellent video jizzaran
i buy one just one hour before u release ur video bro ^^ ohh no iam crying now.. xD but thx
Shoulda watched this before I spent 1.5 ex on the wrong one! Oh well
I dropped a relic glorious vanity from a reliquary vault
nice video! tyvm ziz!
I have been waiting for this thank you ziz
Is PoB able to predict what a jewel will do depending on the number?
From what I've seen it can't, although you can manually change the nodes by right clicking them to match to the ones you have ingame.
@@Nimroc I was more interested in predicting the effect of one jewel before buying it
@@iFlu Yeah I figured so, it is pretty damn hard to check what you are buying with all the possible combinations.
I like how the title has "for dummies" then he uses abreviations back to back and flashes over nodes so you dont have time to read them.
contextually this is just gobblygook , incredibly dense
thanks cicerone
nice intro

sure, for dummies... i thinks this is it type of vid... T_T

I play SSF, and not nearly enough to be able to get any of those, so I'm now left with some "useless" info. Thanks, I guess.
