    LION'S MANE MUSHROOM RECIPE
    8 ounces lion’s mane mushrooms
1-2 tablespoons butter or extra virgin olive oil
    2 teaspoons soy sauce
Sea salt and black pepper to taste
Cut off the bottoms of the mushrooms, then slice them into 1/4-1/2 inch pieces.
In a dry, medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook the mushrooms for a couple of minutes on each side. The excess water will evaporate and mushrooms will reduce in size a bit.
Add the butter and cook until browned, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook the mushrooms for another 2 minutes or until golden brown on each side.
Add soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Enjoy!

I like to slice them like you do, then toss the slices in beaten egg, then dip them in cornmeal mixed with seasoning salt, then pan fry them. Sometimes I put a grill press on them so they flatten. They are crispy and crunchy. I also just grow them in a humidity chamber at home from a liquid culture injected into soaked and sterilized grain (like bird feed). See any easy way to grow your own: Search "How to Grow Lion's Mane Mushrooms (Recipe Included!)"

Absolutely delicious & very easy to prepare. This was our 1st time having a Lion's Mane Mushroom so I went simple. After slicing them into 1/2" slices, I sauteed them in a dry skillet until they started to get a golden color. I then added about 1 Tbls. bacon fat & a light sprinkle of sea salt & continued cooking for a couple of minutes. We were having Miracle Noodles in a light sauce with browned ground pork sausage & the mushrooms just added an extra delicious touch to our meal, as a side. I was able to acquire our Lion's Mane through Imperfect Foods, in case anyone wants to try looking there.

I've never seen lion's mane mushrooms at stores in my area. I'm about to give growing mushrooms a try. I ordered a blue oyster mushroom kit earlier today. If those go well, I might give a lion's mane kit a try.
Another video I watched suggested one option for dealing with their excess moisture was to press them with a tortilla press before cooking them.

@@pamelapulsifer332 Yes is was a kit. Michigan Mushroom Company. From Amazon. The first block I got looked dry and showed no signs of life. After about 1 week I requested a refund. They refunded and sent me a replacement. By the time the second arrived the first started showing sings on life and did produce. I didn't have huge flush but my growing conditions were'nt ideal. I would buy from them again.

Great vid. New to Lion's Mane food prep, I found what I needed to know about cooking them right here. I did pan fried, and they were a delight. Nice to know I can also do them in an air fryer scenario. For those interested in more medicinal info, search down Paul Stamets here on YT. Also, watch the interview with Joe Rogan for a seriously eye opening interview. Paul has a small company dealing in fungi supplements called "Fungi Perfecti." I started on a daily dose of Lion's Mane, and within 3 days I was noticing a significant cognitive/energy improvement. Amazing really. Feel the Lion's Roar!
