Chain down the driver side of the engine, it will put more torque down too and keep the turbo away
I’m thinking of doing this route with not pulling head and replacing gasket on my LML duramax. I don’t have any issues with my gaskets now, just want to protect it!
You really should build a new bumper for the cummins, doesn't do the truck justice. Nice vid as always
Yeah I've been planning on doing it for awhile but got to many other things on the go right now.
Makes it look meaner. Looks better without it.
If you're gonna get a new turbo, might as well just get a whole second gen swap kit from Fleece.

Might want some engine mounts. Especially if your putting a new turbo on it so you don't wear a hole in your new turbo

Yeah or at least new factory ones. I'd do that before replacing the turbo so it doesn't just happen again lol
If you don't want to upgrade the turbo and yours seems fine otherwise I'd just look for a compressor cover. Sure you can order a brand new one or look on eBay for a used one.

Cool video! How many hours on your engine? Also how do you like that K&N air filter?
Cummins has like 350,000km and the k&n is fine, makes the turbo nice and loud.
What all do you have done to the engine aside from your tunes and the head stud kit???

There's absolutely nothing wrong with replacing head bolts with studs one at a time.. anyone that thinks that's bad to do, doesn't know diesels haha
Rebuilding the sa 200?
Yeah I tried too but its a bit too far gone. cyl 1 exhaust valve been open for 20+ years with rain filling it up so walls are rusted away and pistons seized. Also all valves and lifters seized up. could only get about half of them free after alot of work. Also generator would need full rebuild so shes just too far gone. Looks cool sitting out front tho.
