Before this whole pandemic and all of California being on fire craziness, I rented a Mustang V6 convertible and drove that thing from LA to SF on PCH1. Astonishing experience with that car. Almost like that car was built for California roads. I felt free.
I rented a 2021 convertible with the auto transmission and it was great! Drove it from San Diego to SF and back. Plenty of passing power and was very comfortable.

The HP ecoboost is the one I would buy. Even Caroll Shelby himself said you can't really use more than 300 hp in the street. Not legally anyway. The High performance 2.3 weighs fully 200 lbs less than the GT. And every single ounce of it comes off the front axel. The differences in speed performance mean virtually nothing in the street. I would love to own the 2.3 High Performance. A true "sports car".
Definitely sounds better with the performance pack which it was missing in the sound department, I wish it was the standard because without it just sounds soulless
The last time I was over there for a driving holiday, I had to skip this road due to some fire damage. Can't wait to drive it during the next trip. It is the most alpine pass like road in that area I would say.

The best used sports car value on the market is the s550 ecoboost. But you've got to be mad to plop down 40 large on one brand spanking new. 40 grand gets you GT under 40k miles in most of the country. You could probably pay 25k for a fully loaded ecoboost with decent mileage.
Okay ima lqy down some facts the Mt82 is hot garbage and was qualified for the ecoboost with 350ftlbs of torque and guess what the GT over powers the transmission. Synchros grind high rpm lock out and with 2018+ going from steel selection forks to aluminum mean it eats forks now and you cant get a better manual unless you step up to 51k for a mach 1 or you get a HPP eco boost with the RS motor with a 63mm turbo for 43k

This car is amazing, and it looks stunning! With the simply insane cost of gas where I live and expensive everything, I could totally see myself owning this turbo 4 Mustang especially with it 330 HP engine & 350 lbs ft of torque. That is more power that many V-8s of not too long ago. This Mustang EcoBoost High Performance Package, 6-Speed manual with the Handling Package is the one for me. We do have some outstanding roads for driving here and excellent weather for driving all year long, so this car is perfect. The money I save on gas over the V-8 means more gas for more driving. Well done Ford! BTW I live in California. I will definitely have to drive this road.

Hey bro, I bought of the these cars shift stick and I had a GT stick shift too, my only concern is that if it’s normal for this transmission to have more rough shifts going from 1-4 and smooth going to 5,6, my GT didn’t have that, but this ECO HPP has maybe I have to give more clutch in lower gears but is there anyway to eliminate this trying to shift faster? Or it’s a MUST to shift slower and give more clutch? Please help! 😊
@@Apollo_s2k but its the truth. It was a secretary car even... The 70’s brought the “muscle” car in the mustang... which, yes, its only a v8...that was thanks to Carroll Shelby. Todays mustang and camaros are sports car, not so much muscle anymore. It is a pony car. It is not a false statement.
I lol-ed because almost everyone who says that is comparing this ecoboost plus high performance package, plus track pack, plus etc etc to a BASE V8. Give me the Ecoboost and the High Performance Package (roughly $4000) and nothing else. Then you are under $35K. That's the only way I'd spend my own money on a brand new Mustang (and yeah I own a 1967 model with V8.) But as they said "Different Strokes for Different Folks"
I don't know if this is an upopular opinion... but I don't see the point in owning a Mustang if it's not a V8. This is an engine for a hot hatch. Which is better than a Mustang to begin with. This car can be fun all it wants, but it's ultimately like fat reduced milk.
That has to do with the frame rate of the camera and the frequency of the lights and screen not syncing up, to the naked eye they're always on same with the screen

Seems to have fairly decent power and handling and it’s cool Ford offers this but I just can’t see myself owning a Mustang without a V-8 in it.
That’s what my dad thought. Then he ended up with an eco boost and doesn’t regret anything.

why is the highway mileage so low with manual? SHorter final drive ratio? 3.73 instead of a normal 3.55 for PP1 ecoboosts?
