I want a Cobb access port but they are illegal in California :/ also how do u get good 0-60 times my best was 5.8 and I can only get that in the mornings
It just depends on traction and weather conditions. My best times were in cool weather, boosted launch, and minimal wheel slippage.
Is the tune causing the slight bucking when it downshifts? I drove both s550 V6 and GT prefer the V6. Not a lot of power but felt much lighter to drive around. Better MPG also helps as a daily.
You can always feel the downshifts in the 10r80 trans. The Cobb OTS tune did not change that. The non GT models do feel a little lighter but it’s not terribly noticeable in my experience but some say it’s a huge difference.
You prefer the v6 ? Said no one ever
@@brandonUwanawich954 said him, just then. A lot of people prefer the lower trims for their daily taste as they just want the look and not the performance.
What would be the top speed of the Mustang if it is tuned on stage 2 around 380 hp?
It might get up to 160 before getting soft.
What tuner are you using?
Cobb accessport with stage 1 OTS tune
What's the redline on a stock 18+ eco?
It starts the hash marks at 6500 then gets solid at ~7000. I’d say it’s 6500. The 10 speed shifts before redline though.
@@JVette01 I did notice that. You're probably better off using the paddles if you wanna go to 6500
@@arnoldoalvear2548 You can but power drops off past 5500 rpm so when the trans short shifts it keeps it in its power band.
Would adding any mods or a big turbo automatically bypass the limiter by a little bit or no update bought a 2022 Mustang Gt
No. You need a tune to remove/raise the limiter.
@@JVette01 I have a 2020 is there any Tunes that you would suggest
I got the Cobb accessport which came with a tune. I suggest getting a pro tune by a professional though to maximize performance and reliability.
@@JVette01 Apppreciate I will make sure to check it out
You can’t put a bigger turbo on without a tune anyways, so you’ll be removing the limiter with the tune.
once u got the tune , did u have to upgrade anything else ? driveshaft/gears etc ?
Nope. The stage 1 tune is designed for a stock EcoBoost. The driveshaft and trans are the same as the GT so no worries there!
@@JVette01 preciate it bro , i got a 3.7 & it kills me i can’t hit over 120 . 🤦🏾♂️
@@PLAH2422 Yeah I heard about the driveshaft issues in the 3.7s :/ Im glad they made the base mustangs and GTs have the same stuff.
The factory limiter is 120? That's weird, I think my focus st shuts off at 155. I've had it to 130 but didn't feel like pushing it farther lol. I've had my 96 gt to 140, and now there's a lot more work done to it
Yeah I think they limited the EcoBoosts (without PP or HPP) to 120 due to the 130mph speed rating on the base model tires. My car came with Goodyear eagle f1’s that can go well over 150
@@JVette01 I’ve had my 2017 pp over 120 lots of times, that’s interesting I didn’t know they did that to the base model
I've got a european model, stock, manual, with the premium package, and it goes 240 km/h (149mph), with the limiter😂. It feels like the car can do a lot more. Also, the manual is capable of higher top speeds than the automatic one. I wonder how quick it would be without the limiter...i think 260 km/h for sure...maybe 270:)).
I got my tune from livernois auto sports, i hit 153 before letting off as well. I got the 2020 MT eco, all stock. only difference i was shifting above 6k and got up to that speed a little faster.
Interesting. In my experience when the car shifts past 5500 rpm it loses power. How are you liking the livernois?
Once you get the tune, that is how you get rid of the governor?
That’s what I was thinking
I love this stretch of I-15 near Jean, Mexico.
Absolutely. Jean, Mexico is nice
How did you take the limiter off
Cobb accessport OTS tune
Isn’t this a 10 speed?
Yes sir!
Is there a speed limit remover for 2017 v6 mustangs?
Any aftermarket tune should remove it
Where can i get something like this done
Just buy a Cobb accessport
@@JVette01 anything ever go wrong with it do i need anything extra i have a 2018 ten speed
@josephsantiago1400 no
Good vid glad I bought my car an 05 gt and tops out at 150 with no limiter removal
Yeah that’s pretty good!
Did you change the driveshaft
Nope. S550 Mustang GT and EcoBoost have the same drive shaft. It’s not like the old V6’s where they explode at 130mph haha
Would this Cobb work on my 2021??
Yes, but just double check with cobb
Does your dashcam record your speed too?
It can if i set up the GPS thing, but it’s probably better I don’t 😂
@@JVette01 lmao I just want one I can record my speed incase a cop tries to bullshit a ticket again so I can have proof
It’s a good dash cam!
how do you remove the limiter i’m new to this stuff
The tune included with the Cobb access port removes the limiter
@@JVette01 thank you bro
I keep getting 5.9 0-60 sports sports plus mode no traction stock tires any help to go faster?
Try drag strip mode with traction control off. It also helps tremendously to brake torque to around 2000 rpm. You can try track mode too but in my experience drag strip mode yields the best 0-60 time
@@JVette01 bet I did a 5.7 this morning producing 331 horsepower and 375 torque
Nice! How did you find out your horsepower and torque?
Im curious to see how my 2020 mustang gt would fare without the limiter. Pretty sure its 155 mph with it rn
Definitely 160+
What state is this in
Tijuana, Mexico ;)
How did you get the digital speedometer
2018+ has the digital speedometer option. 15-17 did not.
Hey I’m new to the car community just got me a 2019 ecoboost how much they charge to remove limiter ?
It is raised to 155 when you get an aftermarket tune. Most people use a cobb accessport.
@@JVette01where?
Online.. just look up Cobb accessport for EcoBoost mustang lol
@@JVette01 can it be stage 1?
Yes. That’s what I did
Did you let off at 153?
Yeah
How do you get the limiter removed ?
Cobb tune
Hey man can u tell how I can remove my mustang speed limiter ?
I mention in the video that it was removed when I flashed stage 1 on the accessport. The Cobb Accessport comes with tunes.
How did you remove the limiter? I have a ‘19 eco
I have a Cobb Accessport using their stage 1 OTS tune. This removes the limiter at 120. Most aftermarket tunes remove the limiter.
Also u have the PP ? I have base model I want to start building it..
I don’t have the PP, the PP is limited from that factory at 145. Feel free to start your build!
What is the "PP"?
@@user-rx9ny4yo2e "PP" means Performance Package in the Mustang world ;)
Wow, awesome video! And it actually looks to be in Mexico!
Thanks! Most certainly in Mexico ;)
It sure as hell doesn't look like Mexico to me!
Where are you guys from? Nova Scotia? Botts Dots in Mexico? I don't think so. This is clearly California desert. POSSIBLY southern Nevada. The geography is definitely Sonoran Desert, but I'm unaware of AZ using Botts Dots. If they do, it could be Arizona. Nope, this is in the U.S., not Mexico.
I know exactly where this is lol
Why are they still limiting theses to 120?
I have no idea. Perhaps it’s because the base EcoBoost comes with tires rated for around 130. Performance packs are limited to 145 and HPP is 155. Thanks for watching!
@@JVette01 tires
what was highest gear?
7th gear brought me to around 135mph, then 8th went to 153 before it upshifted into 9th.
How stable did it feel at 150?
It felt pretty good.. but if you listen carefully you can hear a loud wind noise sound around 145.
How do you remove the limiter?
I mention in the video. It’s a Cobb tune
@@JVette01 can i have a link to buy it?
Just type Cobb tune mustang ecoboost lol
@@JVette01 I did its showing me 2.3L EcoBoost tuning or something
That’s correct. It’s a tune
153 In a 4 Banger Mustang is pretty impressive.
Do you have port injection mod? Curious since I'm concerned about carbon build up over time on the intake valves since no fuel is being sprayed to help clean it.
I have a catch can, that’s all
Thanks. Do you have 10 speed or manual? If its 10 speed then how well is it holding up? Its mostly made by Ford so I trust it more but if it was GM then I'll worry (Ford/GM alliance that created 10 speed auto).
Lol it’s a Automatic. It’s had no issues but it could be a little more smooth
We need a video of how to remove the limiter
I mention in the video.
Why didn’t u put it in sport mode lol
It was in “Track” already because of the drive mode. Look at the helmet in the display.
@@JVette01 I seen that idk for Ford but when I buy my car in sport mode is increase throttle response and stiffen suspension
@@JVette01 maybe for you it should do that if I put it in s gear
Track does that same thing but turns of traction control too. Mine doesn’t adjust suspension since I don’t have Magneride.

Riiiight! Mexico. That's what I would say if I posted a video of me going 153 mph on a California road.
why is it short shifting?
It shifting in the powerband. These engines don’t make power past 5500 rpm. If it shifted at redline it would be much slower.
@@JVette01 ohhh ok!! my 718 2.0 is also turbocharged, but the powerband does go all the way up to redline at 7,300:))
That’s nice! I wish mine pulled to redline haha. But it does make it nice having lots of low end power without reviving.
That’s impressive. How much you spend on mods?
$600 Cobb access port
For a 4 cylinder that’s not bad at all
Is this stock ? thinking about getting one
This is with a Cobb stage 1 OTS tune. Stock is limited at 120.
I had a 60hp tune on my Ranger ecoboost. It wasn't fast but it was hilarious for a truck to pull like that.
