This is AMAZING! I’m hoping to do some Celtic knots on an Irish chain quilt I just finished piecing. I’m very new to longarm quilting but this was exactly what I needed!
Thank you very much for showing this video...I'm just going to quilt a Lone Star Quilt and wanted a certain design in the corners and Triangles. I've never used Golden Paper before and this is how I found your video..I have one question for you, Did you quilt your area of the design first, then quilted the rest of the quilt? I've been wondering if I should quilt my first square with my design then the triangle then the top portion of the star then roll the quilt and continue on quilting?
Brenda, I did quilt the design area in this quilt first. That isn't my usual routine, however. I usually do stabilizing quilting first, then work from the top of the quilt to the bottom. However in this quilt I wanted to see how the design worked in the quilt before doing the rest of the quilting.
Thanks for a quick reply. This is going to be the first time I've actually have worked from the front of my longarm. I usually do pantographs. I always do a straight stitch across the top and sides of the quilt top as far as I can go down then start quilting. This is all new for me and am quite nervous as this is a customer quilt.
👍❤️😊I have actually gave this a try just for a rose design, I used parchment paper and it did work well, so very happy about that. Thanks again 👍❤️😊

You're off to a good start. Take your time and you'll do just fine. I think you'll love quilting from the front of your machine.
Where would I get an arch angel quilting ruler?
frekybyrd I havent been able to find them on-line for a while now. You can substitute any ruler with a curve in it, though.
