When I clean up characters, I have to go into the game and give all their gold to my main. Sell all their items and send the gold to my main. Really, it's all about the gold.

I have a lot of alts that each have their own backstory, like 40. I do have like 10 that are nothing.
I've hit character cap I can't tell you how many times just cause I enjoy the leveling experience.

Actually found many more now that I went looking, but not going to write them all out.

Not just to see the difference in graphics and levels, but what characters existed then or don't exist now. Probably also some details that current Crendor has forgotten.

The first thing i see is Crendor deleting a character (Llort) with an unobtainable shirt equipped, that he could probatly sell for alot of gold; LOL.
Yeah, some of those items go for a fortune, hard to sell though.

I am currently trying to level a whole new server of 12 horde characters but I want to run through an expansion on the horde side for the first time. Been fun so far.
4:00 That tabard is called the "Emboldened Dracthyr's Tabard" i think Dracthyr's get it from a quest, i wonder if your character actually has it in game too lol

lol ff14 stopped my altaholic tendencies as when I played wow I was hitting character cap constantly. not that I played all of em just like making characters
I love ff14, but I love having multiple characters so I can play different races. In WoW I love night elves, draenei, and worgen, and in FF14 I love miqote, roegadyn, and hrothgar but im not willing to make another character just cuz theres so many mandatory quests i need to do to unlock shit like the casino
@JennaPasta yeah I've been back and forth on what I prefer because on one hand I liked having alts and being able to kinda give each their own "personality" so to speak but I also like not having to manage multiple character and being able to do everything on one.

Long time ago I deleted my first ever character. a Tauren Shaman named Garthas. He was only about lvl 30 because I didn't really know how to play a shaman.
I still regret deleting him though.
I lost one of my first characters, a human rogue from vanilla. He was on my brothers account, I didn't have my own account yet at the time. My brother deleted him just before cataclysm. I recreated him as a worgen rogue. Still miss the og version though, he was a private :/

I'm always scared deleting characters, logged on a character that I havent played since 2008, and found BOE Defias Gloves in his bank.
They're not really rare though. What is really nice is that some characters may have become guildmasters due to guild inactivity. I now own a bunch of guilds that I was just a normal member of in tbc and wrath

That's crazy you played on firetree, that was my first server through Cata, even raided with Jesse when was a guild there, didn't realize you were also on Firetree haha.

I'm far off from deleting my characters, as I have only 4 characters yet.
One of them is a level 1 undead priest that I refused to wake up because I refused to obey the Sylvanas' call 🤣🤣🤣
One is a level 3 orc. I don't remember what level was he before the level squish. I might return to it at a point in future, I think it was okay.
One was my main character, I was playing Burning Crusade expansion and I think I was close to level 60, than I took a break from wow because of financial issues. And after the level squish, I didn't want to continue the burning crusade expansion, because I wanted to play Legion and Wrath of the Lich King first. But I don't want drop my main character either, so I'll probably return to this one later.
So my 4th character was a Demon Hunter that I can play for free as it's not at level 25 yet. When I hit that, I probably will create a Death Knight as a 5th one. Then create 2 others for WotLK and Legion expansions from the normal classes' point of view.
Then, not than! Jesus Christ people, learn the difference. Please.

I wish I had access to my old WoW characters but it wasn’t my account lmao it was one of my parents so I obviously now have my own account and just don’t have a way to access those ones. I did remake my first Hunter though which has a ridiculous name lmao “Ajindaya” no meaning, it’s literally just what came out when I hit a bunch of keys in 2008

I have 3 realms: 20+ on one, 15 on the xrealm, and then 15 on my original main realm. Better for solo play cuz I can use the same guild banks

Always just restore them if you wanted to. Wow I thought I had a lot of toons spread out.
They removed all restorable characters before shadowlands hit, they'll probably do it again at some point

Way too familiar with this process. lol. Everytime I play WoW, I create like 6 characters, only play 3 of them, get them to like half-cap(if that) and quit. lol. Not subbed but checked the website, and looks like I already pruned Modern WoW a while ago. Just my Paladin from Legion(which was actually the first character I got to level cap despite playing very sporadically since TBC) and my Demon Hunter from BFA. I'm curious about Classic since I think I still have 6 or so characters there. But doesn't look like you can check on the website like with Modern characters.

Hopefully you cleared out their bank stuff/Gold or any rare item you were hanging on to before deleting them. I remember the first time I played WOW I created so many ALTS just so I can increase my bank space.

They get removed aswell, a bunch were removed before shadowlands, level squishes also remove a bunch due to the characters being to low lvl to be restorable

This might be a bit expensive, but consider putting all your level 50+ characters on one realm, and your machinima/video making characters on a second realm, that way you won't be as spread out, and it'll be easier for you to keep track of your characters, rather than being scattered through several realms, you'd only be on two.
