I think that's an okay thing. When the end game options are somewhat player discovered and not obvious it helps make the experience less monotonous imo

For the WM thing you suggested about castle sieges and so on, I would guess that they need to upgrade their servers for that, if you ever tried southshore vs tarren mill you would know.
What makes you think their servers can't handle it and that they aren't throttled to maximize profits and stick you instead in arena where people pay money for progress in the form of token carries? Private servers can handle hundreds of players on screen and now they are doing it with the 1.14 Classic client through a hermes proxy. Blizzard doesn't want you having fun without paying or selling a MT to do it. Those are the only 2 demographics Ion and Kotick care about. Token sellers and mobile game token buyers. They don't want or need the rest of you. You complain, want a real MMO and they only want your money when their influencers sucker you into buying another failed Ion expansion.
seems too far fetched but could be the case nobody knows the excact thing going on, I just know the game lags out when alot of people are fighting in the same area all the time and its been the case for forever in this game.

It has lag, but if you tried to get 300 hunters on the screen in retail you would freeze lag. the first video is what our experience should be on Virtualized servers. Nostalrius didn't have a sub fee and they said the server costs which they leased were CHEAP. They are simply doing it on purpose. If you think they couldn't you might want to ask their female employees what kind of people they are or look at their CEO since Blizzard no longer has one. It would be a start to give warmode the BfA treatment, people say this expansion was bad - i disagree, guess what i still have alts stuck in BfA content doing the faction assaults. No idea how to bring back faction assaults in DF, as there is no faction war anymore in the narrative, but its really missed, like Nazjatar battles in warmode are missed. All we have are very small warmode world quests, in its small radius the pvp ilvl is maxed and the objective usually is to slay a big PvE mob.....ugh. I mean come on, if anything warmode objectives could be improved! So devs gave warmode actually gear rewards, but missed to grand it the participation it really needs. In BfA i have fought the whole world no matter if played alliance or horde, the zones were full with people that wanted to crack skulls, first only at flightmaster points, and later in faction assault nazjatar and mechagnome zone. And i would like to have warmode quests to kill player characters not pve mobs and to loot their organs similar to how old ashran was.(WoD another good pvp expansion, despite how bad it was cut short and ruined in story)

Different people play the game in different ways! 100% of my gear is either crafted, from a world quest, a rare, world boss, the primal storm event or from Wrathion -- and I'm ilvl 381 easy, without stepping foot in a dungeon. When I hear there are people still trying to avoid questing so bad that they immediately hop into the dungeon finder only to run to the forums and complain they aren't getting any good gear upgrades I get a good laugh. I'm not saying there's a wrong way to play, just that gearing is easier than its ever been and thank god I don't have to go into a dungeon and get yelled at for having no idea where to go or what the mechanics are only to get votekicked when I inevitably die and can't get back in a timely manner. To be honest, getting me in a dungeon is like telling me I need to go to the dentist. I want an interface to popup after I get votekicked that tells me who was in the raid, who initiated the kick, and the ability to lodge a formal complaint a GM will look over to cut down on abuse of the feature. Even when you go in and TRY to speak no one ever responds. But it doesn't matter, because my gear level is on par with LFR gear without bothering to participate in such things. I have all I need to go and experience each dungeon, each raid, once and exactly once for the lore because that is the ONLY reason I have to go there. Nothing could incentivize me to want to go in more than once. What will I do now? Easy! Gold farming. Because number go up = serotonin. Yay!
381 from just world content is crazy… how? I’ve done all the crafting I can with engineering and blacksmithing, I have wrathion rep maxed, and I do all weekly quests / bosses, any dailies that are useful AND did a bunch of mythic+s and still have less than that. I guess part of it is luck based, but 381 with only world content is crazy to me, at least this early.
My experience has been the complete opposite. Folks in the dungeons have been unexpectedly social, and have been willing to struggle through the fights and learn the mechanics as a team (dungeon journal pretty much covers everything lol). Sure, there are the occasional salty clowns, but we just ignore them and vote to kick if they continue to berate the other players. At the end of the day, life is too short to worry about nonsense like that; it's a game, not a job. Just enjoy it however you prefer!

Dragonriding is a lot of fun, but I burned out on WoW. Everything feels like an intense gear race. I did a short RP on WoW and couldn't think of a place to call my home. I don't enjoy grinding to unlock everything that everyone else has. I enjoy creativity and designing RP settings. I want to do something different than other players. Otherwise... it just feels like a rat race. Might as well work for real money if I'm checking things off from a to-do list. I'll wait until WoW has housing.
It would be awesome not having to complete campaign storylines. Could totaly be doable. People who complain about people not caring for the story haven't fealt the powerfull feeling skipping a cinematic which took teams months to complete gives you...🙂

i definitely love that in this expansion, you only NEED to do what you want to do, save for finishing the Campaign that is. but aside from that, Dragonflight is freedom! freedom to play with a ton of alts, freedom to grind rep, freedom to push the big 3 of content, it's all for you to decide, which i think ALL future expansions need to be like Dragonflight rather than forcing you along a linear path to The Big 3 like they was in BFA and Shadowlands.

XD also, since you're coming back, i can inform you that all you'd need is your WoW account and Dragonflight. gone are the days where you need all the expansions to play them, the older games have been woven into the base game. so come on in, the water is nice, i am not promising that it's gonna stay nice forever, but that dont mean that you cant enjoy it for a while and then leave again for a time. i can guarantee that it'll be fun for at least the length of a monthly sub though, especially if you like alts.
Giant armies fighting over territories? NO. The game/engine cannot handle more then 20 people in one area without lagging out. Everyone should know that by now.
I also started with arms feeling like a champ when I saw in dungeons that this dmg is not even a lot even though it felt like it. Fury on the other hand felt like a revolution although it doesn’t feel as good as arms for me.
Warcraft has the most Ass cutscenes and story though... so bad... Alexstraza is possibly the most boring character ever since Sylvanas and the silly thing all of you know I'm right but won't say nothing about it... Don't take the Mark of the Beast! (666)
I was wondering if anyone else feels like the longer the play session the fewer rewards you get. Not including dailies, WQ and other guaranteed drops obviously. Yesterday, I had a very long play session of about 12 hours, when I started playing I noticed that rare drops such as profession knowledge drops and dense hide would drop quite frequently. I then did a bunch of side quests, got the rest of dragon glyphs and did some Mythic+ dungeons for 10 hours or so. I then went to farm some gold towards the end of the session, farming Rousing Air and Dense Hide and they suddenly were barely dropping at all. I decided to test this and found that I was only getting 22 Rousing Air per hour and then another test of only 4 Dense Hide per hour. I've also noticed that the expedition packs (can't remember what they're called) that give you a renown item and some junk quite literally did not spawn for me whatsoever towards the end of my play session (I found 0 in 20 or so minutes of searching), whereas earlier in my play session I would frequently fly around aimlessly looking for them and they would spawn almost constantly. I just find this strange that whenever I first log in for the day it seems like rare drops and crafting mats drop in copious amounts and then as the day goes on they seem to drop less and less. Is this confirmed by anyone else? If it is true I can only imagine it is Blizzard's attempt to diminish the effects of bot farming and also slowing down player progression so no one has maxed out their professions and renown within the first month.
I would believe it. It would make sense. They cannot have people burn through the content and get maxed out within a week. Lots of rewards and diminishing them over time, would also motivate people to play less maybe but still come back for "waiting" on rewards. Resting xp but with items. Wouldn't be that hard to implement.
You know what, i think you are right, ive been doing alot of farming while watching youtube, but i barely get any good mats now compared to when i began playin, thought i was just unlucky
Going from classic to retail, I hate these fucking dungeons. I've been playing an affliction lock. My sole purpose is dotting enemies and watching them wither. I genuinely can not do the one thing I was meant to do because if I stop moving for one second to cast SoC or Vile Taint, I die, get CC'd, or blown off the fucking cliffside. Being a caster has been the worst experience when trying to do dungeons. And speaking of warlocks, of all the locks I've come across while lvling, there has only been 1-2 non-demonology warlocks. Like, why are people so pathetic that they only play what others tell them to? The game is no fun when I have to compete against someone who can do twice my damage with one pet and 2 spells.
I sure can't wait to find all of those "new" treasures out in the world that I already know the contents of. Or do some "group" content quietly with other people who don't speak or communicate in any way.
I’ve been playing since BC and got bored so I decided to create a couple of new characters just start over on a new realm and picked a class I never got much into and I’ve been having a tone of fun. I never realized how fun the rogues and paladins really were. I usually play Horde but decided to play Alliance, decided to make a Dwarf after watching The Hobbit again.

Completely new WoW player here, and I completely dig Dragonflight's storyline. Just reached 70, not knowing what's next, so finishing the story and addon story before I work on older story lines next, but this guide was completely helpful into informing me what I should be working on after hitting max level, much appreciation! New subber and looking forward to watching further content.
Dragonflight has something for everyone and I love it so much not only is the refreshed combat super fun but even dragon riding, taking in the sights, professions etc
I used Zygor Guides to get all the glyphs. It was super easy. If people "dont' want the storyline and just be insta-70," that seems weird they're playing WoW. Part of the richness of the game is the lore. Do they really want a game where you log in, you're insta 70 with all the top gear, and you just go in fight PvP? If so, isn't that what MOBA's are for?
I hate HATE dragon gliding (it's not flying, it's the gliding similar to GW2) and cannot stand WoW's rep grinding having to jump through their hoops is a task not an enjoyment. I got to max, changed my warrior to Arms because it works best in PvP and Fury sucks in PvP and refuse to do Blizzards boring rep grind crap.
I don‘t know if I did something wrong. I remember back in WoD I got my very first character from level 1 to 100 in 1 day and 5 hours of playtime. In Dragonflight it took me more than 2 days without any looms. Didn‘t everybody say the leveling would be drastically faster?
Professions are in a really bad place imo... all I can craft is some shitty blue gear, no epics in sight. Only one and that sucks major d***... No reason to progress my blacksmithing this expansion. We needed jobs to be like in vanilla or bc. They had meaning. Now the craftable rewards are so bad that it doesnt matter if you have a job or not. And since the ui is super unintuitive, crafting is in the worst state it had been since the inception of wow. Major letdown.

dragon glpyhs on alts you say? well the fact that unlocking dragon riding seemed account wide didnt mean the progress was account wide. glad i didnt pay for this expansion. honestly the demo was enough to show me its just more of the same hot garbage. dragon riding is cool and all but its just rock drakes from ark but they have limited flying and cant rock climb so...... yea id rather play ark than buy this garbage
I skipped every cut scene in the dragon flight story. Why you might ask well blizzard made the game / story and their track record is I need to buy 12 books and watch 7 yt videos to understand the story so no thanks.

6:00 you can upgrade this gear for one night .. maximum 2 ... so what kind of dungeons are you talking about next? Even some of the items in the raid are not as good as the primal storm gear..
As new to wow and the game wont let me play from the beggining its big L + paying 15 euros for only 8 dungeons and 4 raids its just not worth and getting boring pretty fast

I may be different or didn't get it but to me i have been playing wow since release with some break here and there but for some reason Dragonflight have been the worst expansion for me and i already stopped playing. I just can't stomach the timer set on everything you can do in the world, the rare spawn and both trial have been the nail on the cofin not to mention yet again everything is time gathed. No biggy just not for me i seen enough already and for some reason i had more fomo in Dragonflight than any other expansion, lastly i found the world content to be an extremly boring repetitive and zerg fest.
1. I hit level 70 but the gold shield around the quest line is over so I can’t figure out where the quest line continuous.2. I opted out of dragon riding I have flying amount. Why do I need to get their flying out? I have flying and all the other expansions for now I need to do something special to fly in this one and use their special flying out when I have so many I had it out I’m not gonna use the system
Unfortunately my guild no longer is doing regular raids, and after playing with them for 10 years now, I don't want to find a new guild for it, and I don't want to be a pug, especially as a tank. Combined with how atrocious a state brewmaster is in currently, I felt pushed to cancel my sub unless things change
Yes, make a video on why WoW should shamelessly rip off other MMO's open PvP maps with capturable keeps, towers, towns and outposts. Why this isn't the game yet is mind boggling.
I did every quest I could find in the first area, and then almost all of them (but all of the MSQ) in the Plains, and I'm already 30% of the way to level 69. I've stopped with the extras and am just chasing the msq until 70. After that and the end of the main story, I'll head back and clean up the fluff. I also went full tilt on hunting the glyphs, and had all but two (the right two in the middle where there's two rows of three) before level 68. It's so much more efficient to move around now.
It was a good first few weeks or month? not sure how long its been out, but as usual after the beginning hype, I remember myself personally, I don't enjoy any end game, and the fun of the adventure is gone... wonder what the next expansion will be.
Ahh you forgot one option, over on that server Step 1: Make a female alliance character Step 2: Go to the Inn in Goldshire Step 3: ??? Step 4: HUGE profit
In my opinion crafting in this expansion is worse than ever. You can only get around 50 points in an expansion and then you can't do anything, because no recipes and no crafting orders...
Weekly world pvp city sieges. If your faction wins give buff for 2 hrs that can be used in raids and persist through death. A chance of rare mount to drop and or cosmetic
Blizzard won't give us Tuskar as a race because there's no way to balance them fairly. They are too powerful.

The shadows of the dragon glyphs stay even on your main, and they'll only be shadows on alts so it doesn't make a big difference

Dragonriding is a lot of fun, but I burned out on WoW.
Everything feels like an intense gear race.
I did a short RP on WoW and couldn't think of a place to call my home.
I don't enjoy grinding to unlock everything that everyone else has. I enjoy creativity and designing RP settings.
I want to do something different than other players. Otherwise... it just feels like a rat race. Might as well work for real money if I'm checking things off from a to-do list.
I'll wait until WoW has housing.
Why indeed are Tuskar not a playable race yet?
It would be awesome not having to complete campaign storylines. Could totaly be doable. People who complain about people not caring for the story haven't fealt the powerfull feeling skipping a cinematic which took teams months to complete gives you...🙂

I agree with starting over. I was a long time hoard player. Completely starting over and running alliance was a fresh new experience.
i definitely love that in this expansion, you only NEED to do what you want to do, save for finishing the Campaign that is. but aside from that, Dragonflight is freedom! freedom to play with a ton of alts, freedom to grind rep, freedom to push the big 3 of content, it's all for you to decide, which i think ALL future expansions need to be like Dragonflight rather than forcing you along a linear path to The Big 3 like they was in BFA and Shadowlands.

also, since you're coming back, i can inform you that all you'd need is your WoW account and Dragonflight. gone are the days where you need all the expansions to play them, the older games have been woven into the base game.
so come on in, the water is nice, i am not promising that it's gonna stay nice forever, but that dont mean that you cant enjoy it for a while and then leave again for a time.
i can guarantee that it'll be fun for at least the length of a monthly sub though, especially if you like alts.
Giant armies fighting over territories? NO. The game/engine cannot handle more then 20 people in one area without lagging out. Everyone should know that by now.

Hasn't changed much, though when the backdrop is the Dragon Isles? Makes the typical end-game activities seem far less monotonous.
I like how Nixx subverted the expectations for a pvp montage and instead showed us that dying is okay

I also started with arms feeling like a champ when I saw in dungeons that this dmg is not even a lot even though it felt like it. Fury on the other hand felt like a revolution although it doesn’t feel as good as arms for me.
I was Fury but struggling in PvP until I switched to Arms.
Warcraft has the most Ass cutscenes and story though... so bad... Alexstraza is possibly the most boring character ever since Sylvanas and the silly thing all of you know I'm right but won't say nothing about it...

To be fair if you’re not hitting 70 until a month after launch you either hardly play the game at all or your just really really bad..
I find retail WoW hard to play. Not in a "this is difficult" way but a "I prefer Classic and truly CBA with this pile of 💩 " kind of way
End game doesn't exist yet. It's mostly 1st raid and renown especially since 3 of the story chapters are hidden behind renown
I was wondering if anyone else feels like the longer the play session the fewer rewards you get. Not including dailies, WQ and other guaranteed drops obviously.
Yesterday, I had a very long play session of about 12 hours, when I started playing I noticed that rare drops such as profession knowledge drops and dense hide would drop quite frequently. I then did a bunch of side quests, got the rest of dragon glyphs and did some Mythic+ dungeons for 10 hours or so. I then went to farm some gold towards the end of the session, farming Rousing Air and Dense Hide and they suddenly were barely dropping at all. I decided to test this and found that I was only getting 22 Rousing Air per hour and then another test of only 4 Dense Hide per hour. I've also noticed that the expedition packs (can't remember what they're called) that give you a renown item and some junk quite literally did not spawn for me whatsoever towards the end of my play session (I found 0 in 20 or so minutes of searching), whereas earlier in my play session I would frequently fly around aimlessly looking for them and they would spawn almost constantly.
I just find this strange that whenever I first log in for the day it seems like rare drops and crafting mats drop in copious amounts and then as the day goes on they seem to drop less and less.
Is this confirmed by anyone else? If it is true I can only imagine it is Blizzard's attempt to diminish the effects of bot farming and also slowing down player progression so no one has maxed out their professions and renown within the first month.
I would believe it. It would make sense. They cannot have people burn through the content and get maxed out within a week. Lots of rewards and diminishing them over time, would also motivate people to play less maybe but still come back for "waiting" on rewards. Resting xp but with items. Wouldn't be that hard to implement.
You know what, i think you are right, ive been doing alot of farming while watching youtube, but i barely get any good mats now compared to when i began playin, thought i was just unlucky
Going from classic to retail, I hate these fucking dungeons. I've been playing an affliction lock. My sole purpose is dotting enemies and watching them wither. I genuinely can not do the one thing I was meant to do because if I stop moving for one second to cast SoC or Vile Taint, I die, get CC'd, or blown off the fucking cliffside. Being a caster has been the worst experience when trying to do dungeons.
And speaking of warlocks, of all the locks I've come across while lvling, there has only been 1-2 non-demonology warlocks. Like, why are people so pathetic that they only play what others tell them to? The game is no fun when I have to compete against someone who can do twice my damage with one pet and 2 spells.

I’ve been playing since BC and got bored so I decided to create a couple of new characters just start over on a new realm and picked a class I never got much into and I’ve been having a tone of fun. I never realized how fun the rogues and paladins really were. I usually play Horde but decided to play Alliance, decided to make a Dwarf after watching The Hobbit again.

Completely new WoW player here, and I completely dig Dragonflight's storyline.
Just reached 70, not knowing what's next, so finishing the story and addon story before I work on older story lines next, but this guide was completely helpful into informing me what I should be working on after hitting max level, much appreciation!
New subber and looking forward to watching further content.
Dragonflight has something for everyone and I love it so much not only is the refreshed combat super fun but even dragon riding, taking in the sights, professions etc
I used Zygor Guides to get all the glyphs. It was super easy. If people "dont' want the storyline and just be insta-70," that seems weird they're playing WoW. Part of the richness of the game is the lore. Do they really want a game where you log in, you're insta 70 with all the top gear, and you just go in fight PvP? If so, isn't that what MOBA's are for?

I hate HATE dragon gliding (it's not flying, it's the gliding similar to GW2) and cannot stand WoW's rep grinding having to jump through their hoops is a task not an enjoyment. I got to max, changed my warrior to Arms because it works best in PvP and Fury sucks in PvP and refuse to do Blizzards boring rep grind crap.
I don‘t know if I did something wrong. I remember back in WoD I got my very first character from level 1 to 100 in 1 day and 5 hours of playtime. In Dragonflight it took me more than 2 days without any looms. Didn‘t everybody say the leveling would be drastically faster?
1-60 is like 6 hours and 60-70 like 8-12 hours depending on your class. 1-60 or the equivalent used to be easily a day
Professions are in a really bad place imo... all I can craft is some shitty blue gear, no epics in sight. Only one and that sucks major d***...
No reason to progress my blacksmithing this expansion. We needed jobs to be like in vanilla or bc. They had meaning. Now the craftable rewards are so bad that it doesnt matter if you have a job or not. And since the ui is super unintuitive, crafting is in the worst state it had been since the inception of wow.
Major letdown.
"new wow" just reminds me more and more of wildstar graphics... if that game wasn't so cartoonish, it would prolly be more appealing, at least to me... 😕

dragon glpyhs on alts you say? well the fact that unlocking dragon riding seemed account wide didnt mean the progress was account wide. glad i didnt pay for this expansion. honestly the demo was enough to show me its just more of the same hot garbage. dragon riding is cool and all but its just rock drakes from ark but they have limited flying and cant rock climb so...... yea id rather play ark than buy this garbage
I skipped every cut scene in the dragon flight story. Why you might ask well blizzard made the game / story and their track record is I need to buy 12 books and watch 7 yt videos to understand the story so no thanks.

As new to wow and the game wont let me play from the beggining its big L + paying 15 euros for only 8 dungeons and 4 raids its just not worth and getting boring pretty fast

And do random quests and events popping all over with no clue why I do them? Or chasing crates dropping from the sky even though I have almost 10k bloody tokens and nth more to buy?:D All this after the weekly 1 hour of getting up to date with my pvp gear. Anyway, I love the expansion, yolo is my fav gameplay!

Umm normally there is a prompt window that pops up to allow you to join groups.. if not check the group finder

I had to change from Fury to Arms because Fury sucked in PvP
I may be different or didn't get it but to me i have been playing wow since release with some break here and there but for some reason Dragonflight have been the worst expansion for me and i already stopped playing. I just can't stomach the timer set on everything you can do in the world, the rare spawn and both trial have been the nail on the cofin not to mention yet again everything is time gathed. No biggy just not for me i seen enough already and for some reason i had more fomo in Dragonflight than any other expansion, lastly i found the world content to be an extremly boring repetitive and zerg fest.
It is bad, and the dragon gliding quests (tasks) are boring and unenjoyable.
1. I hit level 70 but the gold shield around the quest line is over so I can’t figure out where the quest line continuous.2. I opted out of dragon riding I have flying amount. Why do I need to get their flying out? I have flying and all the other expansions for now I need to do something special to fly in this one and use their special flying out when I have so many I had it out I’m not gonna use the system
The dragon gliding (it really isn't flying) is absolutely awful and yet the terrain is so broken that players are pretty much forced into it.

Unfortunately my guild no longer is doing regular raids, and after playing with them for 10 years now, I don't want to find a new guild for it, and I don't want to be a pug, especially as a tank. Combined with how atrocious a state brewmaster is in currently, I felt pushed to cancel my sub unless things change
Yes, make a video on why WoW should shamelessly rip off other MMO's open PvP maps with capturable keeps, towers, towns and outposts.
Why this isn't the game yet is mind boggling.
I did every quest I could find in the first area, and then almost all of them (but all of the MSQ) in the Plains, and I'm already 30% of the way to level 69. I've stopped with the extras and am just chasing the msq until 70. After that and the end of the main story, I'll head back and clean up the fluff.
I also went full tilt on hunting the glyphs, and had all but two (the right two in the middle where there's two rows of three) before level 68. It's so much more efficient to move around now.
It was a good first few weeks or month? not sure how long its been out, but as usual after the beginning hype, I remember myself personally, I don't enjoy any end game, and the fun of the adventure is gone... wonder what the next expansion will be.

For crafting, why be a crafter if ypu can just pay a no lifer for all the same gear?
The crafting in thus expansion is horribly broken.
Me being casual this expansion raid wise and will prob be half normal gear alrdy after 1 week of not even raiding.

You can only get around 50 points in an expansion and then you can't do anything, because no recipes and no crafting orders...

Weekly world pvp city sieges. If your faction wins give buff for 2 hrs that can be used in raids and persist through death. A chance of rare mount to drop and or cosmetic
