Fun pilot! Fred Allen was great.
Would have been nice if it would have been picked up by the networks.

0:55 I guess I'm just going to sit back and enjoy this pilot.

I laughed so hard when Portland asked "are you sure Faye Emerson started this way?"
This was a good show, it could have worked and I'm suprised it wasn't picked up.

Isn’t Tex Antoine the weatherman who made an inappropriate comment about rape during a weather cast

24:11 - 24:13 Sally...congratulate yourself! You have just won yourself and your partner $5,000! You've done it, you've done it! That means you both are going to leave this studio with $2,500 and if we calculate that in 2021 dollars, that means you have each just won $24,208 (that's $2,500 in 1954 dollars)! Now, aren't you glad you took Fred Allen's advice?

Basically, this is Split Second before it even existed.

I think this pilot tried too hard to be another "You Bet Your Life": a dry quiz propped up by a comedy legend's witty interviews with the contestants and banter with his faithful cohost. Then again, George Fenneman isn't even in the same league as Portland Hoffa.
