Its nice to know that each Hi hat has its own characteristics.
I miss the good ol' Ultra Adjust Hi-Hat Stands... Hope to see them re-released in the future!!
Any plans on a remote Hi-Hat?!
How about a short video on using a no leg stand with the stealth kit?
Brent, Gibraltar, when are you guys making a remote hi hat pedal??
9707ML - DP looks like a Beast - perfect for drummers on tour playing an aggressive Set ! I absolutely love your guys' vids and hardware. #bestinthebiz
Justin Charney thanks Justin!!!
and while you're at it...make with the cable/remote hi-hats too..
i just make my own 'pulley based 'remote hi hat
.. imho it is much better than
the enclosed cable system, that created friction and drag especially when bent.
Using a wire pulley system as mine has no drag whatsoever as the only contact points
on the cable are on the small portion of the two pulleys alone
@@Jiu-JitsuDisciple-id1ok I'm interested would you mind sharing how you made it? (here or elsewhere)

Describing it may be difficult but I could send you a few photos of it if you like. Just leave an email
When I used an acoustic kit, u could only choose 3 legged hat stands.
Now they got 2 legged ones. Amazing.
In the 80s, I discovered cable hats. Wow. These were brill, u could put them anywhere.
I had the pedal section on my left an a piccalo snare left of that.
The cable hi hat was mounted above my 2 small toms.
Worked for me.
Oh man if you guys made a 2 tier hi hat stand. I would love this company 60x more.
I'm gonna try these out I'm not that happy with my pearl eliminator stand. It's rly sloppy when compressing it down left and right.

hey Brent,
great video!
it helped me a lot.
But, Because of Hihat stands:
Have you and your team members plans to do a remote Hihat?
Because, i´ll need one soon, and I don´t really won't to change the brand, because I like your stands, and all the rest is Gibraltar, too.
GibraltarDIY The 6700 Series stands are perfect for my needs, I'm looking forward to adding the Gibraltar 6700 Series Hardware to my new Gretsch Catalina Club 8-Piece kit at the end of this month. Are the Swing Nut Boom stands much more expensive than the Standard Wing Nut Boom stands?
For all the details chared he never mentioned about adjusting the height like the GLRHH-DB. Any info on that?
How tall are these stands?
What's the difference between rubber washers for hi hats and the normal felt washers?
Hey!!! What about the Telescoping hi hat stand???!!! I just purchased it on ebay and is not here. Greetings from Chile, people!
what about the height!?? D:
what's the difference between the 67 series and 97? is the 67 as smooth as the 97? Thanks.
Brent.... I love the "9707ML-LD", can u please tell me if if could be found in "2 leg version" or "leg less"?....thanks
+Boris Zarate Here is a link to our Hi Stands you can investigate what we have to offer. Cheers 👍www.gibraltarhardware.com/?fa=series&sid=688&cid=27
This is not a guide, it's a showcase
The 2 leg hi hat stand should not have been discontinued!
combine the 9707NL-DP No-Leg Hi-Hat Stand w/Direct Pull with the QR clutch and i'm SOLD.
I recently bought the 9707 ML-LD. Your video shows how to "adjust resistance of pedal by moving the step tension assembly". Well, please tell me how to do that. I can't get mine to budge.
+Scarlett Russo You can lift the lever and then turn the tension collar to your desired tension and release the lever to fit in the slot.
Where do you get it
how about a no leg stand that you can add 1,2, or 3 legs to?
I know I’m a tad late, but was wondering if you’ll ever make a hi-hat that has removable legs like Mapex. Sense I love Gibraltar hardware (it’s all I use), don’t want to buy the Mapex. Just waiting and hoping Gibraltar will make one soon!
Sam Crespo thank you for the comment. We don’t have this on our docket at the moment, but have some other cool hi hat stands we are developing!
Oh MY *GOD* *ITS COMIC SANS*
haha here come more product numbers. ;)
I've been playing drums for many years, ever since I was kid (If it weren't for a game such as rockband, I probably would have just stuck to guitar). So even after all of these years, I've only had one drum kit and all of the same hardware that came with it (+ an extra cymbal stand I purchased). Long story short, I'm still quite drum-hardware-illiterate. This video was great except it would have been much better if it would have explained why it's important to have different tensions, and what the difference is between the different clutches and etc... You know, for morons like me!

GibraltarDIY I like more the design of 9707ML-LD, and i hit hard, thats why i asking, thank you for your support!

The "heavy duty" no leg weights less than the other no leg? WTF?
I don't get the difference between the two besides the bottom plate.
👏 😰 🍻
No leg liquid drive
Just curious about the no leg hi hat stand, but can it grip onto like a rug kind of flooring? and if so would it be enough to stabilize it from falling? if not what would you recommend on purchasing so the hi hat stand does not fall during practice.
No leg stands are generally clamped to another piece of hardware like a rack or another stand. 3 legged is the most stable but 2 works best with a double bass pedal setup.
Jeff Cavalier’s brother?
Brent Make a Direct Drive Hi Hat Stand
Comic sans
I didnt know mark Zuckerberg worked for Gibraltar
Well... If i have 75 bucks? Lol
Gibraltar hi hat stand?? Lmao no thanks
ildur bud come to think of it I commented that a year ago and my opinion has changed. I used them before and the were garbage. After a year of use it was falling apart. These newer ones are much better
am I the only one who don't like this style of explaining things? this "funny" way... otherwise, this is a great video
