The live version is Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham on guitar and its one of best sequences ever.

Specifically the one from Life:Live. One of the best live albums of all time, right along with Led Zeppelins "The Song remains the same", Rainbows "Live Munich 1977" and Motörheads "Live at Hammersmith"

Thin Lizzy "Live and Dangerous" is one of the best live albums ever. It has this song and Johnny the Fox meets Jimmy the weed. No bad songs on that album. My brother and I wore the grooves off that thing.!😂🎉
You can also find Phil Lynott' s warm voice on his two solo albums : " Solo in Soho " (1980) and " The Philip Lynott Album " (1982).
His also with Gary Moore in the songs : " Out in the Fields " and " Military Man " (1985). ;)
Great tune from Phil Lynott in his balladeering best, but the live version really is the better version. Frankie Miller is the second singer, who was brought in to rerecord Gary Moore's vocals after he left the band.

Thin lizzy are easily one of the best heavy rock bands to exist, the rock radio stations don't give them enough love though . Cold sweat is pretty good and they have some brilliant live versions, are you ready live version sounds great

Sublime Gary Moore, but even so I prefer the version from Live and Dangerous. Frankie Miller had a pretty successful career as a singer and songwriter.

Sade covers this song . Theres a super funky song called Showdown on this record that the beastie boys sample for their song Funky Boss . Can't put thin lizzy in a box . They could do it all . Check out their song Masacre to hear where iron maiden got their sound and song writing style from a handful of years later .

You need to do the live version off of live and dangerous,still one of my favorite thin lizzy song's of all time.
That is the definitive version.
Interesting that Lizzy videos are blocked for your channel on UA-cam where they are one of the few bands where I never had a single issue uploading a reaction, hence why the only reactions I really do nowadays are Lizzy just to finish out the catalog. Night Life is the most mellow Lizzy album, and for me, it's the weakest of the classic lineup era albums. It's a good album, but it's very mellow and the sequencing is awkward. There's plenty of good songs but I found it doesn't flow well as an album and maybe should have the tracklist re-arranged. That said, even weaker Lizzy is better than a number of bands, and this track in particular is a highlight of the entire catalog. Smooth as hell and fantastic. One of their best compositions. Everyone on the track sounds great, but the addition of Frankie Miller and Gary Moore on this track adds a lot of extra sauce. It's just an incredible tune.
