I do hope that the "family services" arent demonized the entire way through. Like, they're scary but by the end they're willing to let the nanny adopt them or whatever the ending will be bc ultimately they have the kids best interest in mind Like, this looks fun, I just feel bad for actual child protective services already being portrayed as the enemy in a lot of children's media
I'm honestly confused by that part, like... presumably the parents hired the nanny, so it's not like the kids have been abandoned. Adults are allowed to go on trips (buisness, honeymoon, etc.) without their kids so long as they're left with a responsible guardian.
@@zeusdemi6858 yes, however, if you pay attention it appears as though they are left alone for a few hours or maybe even days before the Nanny shows up.
Seriously, child services first priority is looking for relatives or close family friends that are willing to take care of the kids if parents have repeated neglectful behavior of leaving the kids alone without adult supervision. I think Lilo and Stitch's Mr. Bubbles is the most accurate representation in animated films to date.
@Instrumentality1000 And that's more so media's coverage fault. News love to portray those that failed to save the one but neglect praising the hundreds saved for any group whether it's military, doctors, etc.
I remember this book from childhood! Would never have imagined this style of animation when I read it, but it looks really creative and I'm excited to see how it turns out.
minikillerwolf Honestly I can tell what the whole movie is about and how it ends But I’m still gonna watch it cause I have nothing better to do and it looks pretty fun to watch
okay so there is no way that CPS would be called if they had a live-in nanny watching them i know kids who came from money who didn't even have that much supervision who lived at home
Bro, the cat is my favorite character as the narrator tho. I just like how he has so much common sense, and even gets involved in the story when he knows he's not supposed to.
the animation looks so clean. i love the more stop-motion type feel it gives off. this is one of the more better looking netflix projects. lets hope the story is interesting too
2:38 made me laugh audible and new animated movies rarely make me laugh, let alone from the trailer. good job. i like the unique style with the yarn, the humor is on point, and the character designs are really good! wow! basic things animated movies should have! 2020 may spoil us with some good animated movies from 2019's year of extremely average animated movies.
I found this book on the floor while cleaning last year, and I just started reading it because why not, and I found it super funny and I actually really liked it. I was wondering if this movie was based on that book, and not some another wiloughbys family, and I guess it is! Too bad I don't have netflix tho lol
I love all the random animated movies Netflix has been releasing, all so original and entertaining, can't remember the name of the other 2 (I just have bad memory they're not forgettable) but one was about a girl and a robot, and the other one was about a girl and trolls, they were good, and I'm excited for this
This was one of my favorite books as a kid. I honestly didn’t recognize the movie until the parents get mentioned, probably because I always felt like the kids where more gloomy almost Addams family like when I read the book. I’ll watch for the memories though
I don't know if you noticed the scene where the kids roll up on the carpet, they start to run out of air and they roll back and start breathing, put it in slow motion and see that one of the twins turns purple with his eyes fixed and the others breathe normally! Creepy !!! What do you think of this?
Will Forte and Terry Crews are both in the movie. They both worked on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. Which was directed by Kris Pearn. Who also directed this film. Though this film looks horrible in my opinion. I don't know why but this looks like something that should be put on Netflix. I kinda feel that had this film been in theaters, it would've flopped. Just saying.
This is like if Tim burton, Lemony Snicket, and Dream Works had a baby and I’m so here for it
LaReine326 and some coriline.
They what?
I detected a dash of Wes Anderson as well, but that may have just been some of the music choices at the beginning.
I see more Studio Laika than dream work but the rest is pretty accurate
There's a microscopic bit of David walliams
Looks pretty original and the animation is nice, I liked the fact it faces the issue of child neglect.
It reminds me of Home Alone movies.
Me too
True.
@@FranciscusList "we...are FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" (im sorry im just using this quote cuz i love it)

According to my mom, she expects the virus to blow over in a few more weeks.

Love the Star Wars reference😜❤
Yeah, this is why I'm still having a great time during quarantine.

Aaah same! It also means we're nearly the same age.
the german name is 7 times the length of the original title
It's a great book
First time I saw this trailer, all I could think of..

This does look funny. I hear Ricky gervais!
But they gave all the informaion already😐
@Nick del... icious???
Nobody:
That one guy in the car at the end: Hey I'm driving here
Why does this feel like The Addams Family but instead of morbid and ghoulish it's peppy and whimsical?
this is the comment I've been looking for
Omg
u h no
The Morticia and Gomez actually cared about their children
No but the sense of humor is similar it’s the dark sense of humor is what it is
Probably the animation style with the exaggerated proportions and big eyes. The stories are different but they both look similar
Oh hell yes netflix. I'm watching this just for the nanny. She's thic, feisty, and adorable!!!!!
Excuse you!! She's *thicc
cheese
She reminds me of aphmau. A fun caring mom.
Yes omg yes
She's not Thicc she's thiccccccccccc
So Coraline meets Despicable Me. Ok, I'll buy that.
Mr. Harvard i felt that
but its Netflix???
Its free
Happy it's not
its free on netflix

I know it’s not stop-motion, but this style reminds me of Fantastic Mr. Fox
YES! I WAS THINKING THE SAME THINGGGG!!!
Yea i knew the animation was a bit similar! Oof i also thought of Isle Of Dogs as well :P
It’s the Weasley’s, if they had bad parents!
And if they had pink hair
Omg
A Series of Unfortunate Soulless Gingers
- looks at the Weasleys - oh my
Lol
yes
Their hair is the color of out of date twizzlers
This is the comment I was looking for...
I really really love the song that she sings in the beginning, I just need a full version so bad
I'm pretty sure it plays over the credits, I forget🤣
Why does her singing sound slightly robotic? The singing at 0:08
Even with that im definitely going to watch it.
That's auto tune
I belive it's autotuned, but in a way that's less noticeable than in most songs.
Probably the was they edited it in and auto tuned
Ikr it sounded a little autotuned
Why can I tell how this ends.
Nanny : I will be youre mother.
End of movie

He actually voices all the characters.
Talented guy.
But seriously, I think he's the candy guy.
he voices the candy mogul, Commander Melanoff.
MY GOD IT IS A TALKING CAT!!!!!! LIKE WHY DO I SEE NO COMMENT ABOUT THIS!?!??!?!?!?! 0:27
It’s probably the narrator
It’s a fake movie there has to be a animal that talks
The cat IS the narrator... possibly, wouldn't be the first time...
James Cordon?
@@foreskinmcfat-nutsjr James Cordon or Simon Cowell, thats all i could hear
Even as someone who doesn't really like how cps handles things, idk how to feel about them being portrayed as absolute villains.......
Maybe in the end we'll see that they aren't as the kids are trying to portray them
The trailer is misleading there treated less and antagonist and more of an obstacle that needs resolving
I like how this chick just gave up her life to become a criminal for four children.
that's it that's what the book is about

Someone: which Barnaby-

What’s with children’s movies antagonizing CPS and other things? Their whole purpose is to help kids who have parent issues!
They sold the house so yeah CPS would be called
The kid called them lol
Is seriously nobody speaking about how the song is so auto tuned
bc it's supposed to be?? enhances the sense of whimsy which helps carry the movie's artistic values.

1:51 i like how it just rams into that car and it gets yeeted a away
This the opposite of Nanny McPhee but better and in cartoon style

I'm so glad that ''Terry Crews'' was in this movie. Terry Crews as Commander Melanoff, the joyous owner of a candy factory.
why does the cat sound like some random guy they payed £5 to do the voice of a cat with depression pretending not to be depressed.
