The Willoughbys | Official Trailer | Netflix
/ netflix
In this animated feature, four children abandoned by their selfish parents learn how to adapt their old-fashioned values to the contemporary world.
The movie's color palette looks very vibrant and more saccharine at the same time. Also, the Nanny in this film is purely _EXTRA THICC._
Voiced by Maya Rudolph! 🖤
Nanny mcphee
You really had to ruin a children's movie for me....really?
K.
@@J-leaf It's supposed to be a joke but I pardon that I ruined your experiences.
Their Parents doesn't care about them. :(
But their Nanny does. :)
Jessie vibes
Their parents sounds like the Trumps
Sounds like my family 😔
The movie is amazing
KinyACat The whole theme of the movie is basically that the families that form out of choice and love are better/healthier/stronger.
This movie was actually sad ... their parents were extremely selfish ☹️
Their nose are longer than my existence

Tim's mustache is longer than my exisence
@@mcthrull7417 Bruh😂
Their parents were funny as shit though
@@mcthrull7417 I laughed to hard at this I-
All i can say is that, the message of this story is totally deep. In reality, there are some parents who can actually abandon their children. And that makes me sad. What I love the most in this movie is when they've find out that there are people out there who are willing to accept and love them even they are not related by blood.
Just my opinion.
And by the way, it is true that this is one of the oddest movie Ive ever seen.( just watching hahahah)
I get that some parents csn be bad and should be slapped and prosecuted; but for a movie that just supports the theory of their existence.... an animation movie for kids no less.. its odd and scary and dangerous i think to children’s minds. I feel this way i dunno why
omar hany I wish this movie was around when I was a child! I have super selfish parents and was suicided growing up, this would of helped me understand it’s not my fault and some parents are just shitty.
@@jessirvington1946 parents can be shitty, i get that, but how can a kid really tell that, i realized my parents were not so good when i became much older than the age this movie is supposedly dedicated too, and besides if a kid a good parents and saw this movie ..and they happen to be good but he doesn't like them for immature reasons for sure, he would want to change them; hate them for no reason (you know what i mean?)
@Anna333 not at all! Actually i love harry potter
My suggestion about this movie is 👉👉In rich family parents afford a nanny for take care their children and take responsibility of their children but after than parents are not atached to their children and children are growing by their loving nanny's only"""👀👀🤔🤔😿
Me before watching the trailer: Well this looks like generic kids movie
Me after: I LOVE IT ALREADY I WANT IT NOW!!!
It's in April

And that's why people need to stop assuming and judging so much, lol
Yeah, just because it's an animated film doesn't mean it can't be for adults
out now?
This is a children novel they sent their parents out to die
A Series of Unfortunate Events is also for children and man that book series was dark. Still loved to read it!
Did the folks died
Ha ha he of course they did
@@evelynjolly9375 let's just hope they did lol
The parents did die in the books sooooooooo
As someone who was abandoned by their parents at six and taken into foster care for the next 17 years, I relate a lot to this. I get emotional in movies but I think I reacted much more deeply than I usually do. Like the Willoughbys I too, a white child, was being taken care of by a black family who felt more family than my own blood relatives. I began to call my foster parents mom and dad at ten. This little animated film touched me in a way no movie was able to in a long time. I'm now in college working to become a television producer and filmmaker.
I LOVE this movie, it carefully depicts that not all blood related parents can be a good guardian for the kids and most importantly, "the house that you lived in don't make it a home". That was a very good quote. Wishing for every kids who had to grow up in a broken family be able to find their own rainbows :)
netflix has been killing it when it comes to animated films! first klaus, i lost my body, (i know it’s not an actual netflix original film, but it’s getting more recognition because of netflix) and now this! this is gonna be nice to watch in the quarantine
Daydreamermagicgirl Oliveri i don’t want to upset you, but it will be a lot of problems with this virus till summer at least
Yeah! Really giving Studio Ghibli a lot of competition.
I love KLaus!!
@Daydreamermagicgirl Oliveri it ends April 30th
Also green eggs and ham! I loved that show ♥️
im glad that 3D animated films are becoming a bit more stylized now. Spiderverse, Spongebob, Connected, and now this!

@Gabe PL what
When I saw the trailer, I thought the kids exaggerated about their bad parents, until I saw the movie. I was wrong.
I almost cried when I was a grown up
I feel like at the end of the movie that nanny will be their new mom 🙂
Yes she does.
Spoilers: she is
If you dont watch the movie this comment spoiled the movie
Note : I watch the movie back in April
[spoiler alert :3] Yep, the nanny became their new mom.
Right on the dot
I've never been more excited to see a kid's show, especially with Alessia Cara's voice acting debut. I already know the music coming out of here is gonna be amazing, the colours are so vibrant and gorgeous, and the characters seem really likable! Not to mention the cast is *chefs kiss*
Chelsea Bill is you enjoy this, I really encourage you to check out more kids shows. A surprisingly large amount of them are super high quality and quite suitable for any age. :)

Wired flex but ok
Me too
Are we sure they're trying to get them back or get new ones?
@@emilybailey1432 No, they didn't in the book. In the trailer it seems like they are trying to find another family.
I feel like Home Alone already ventured into that theme....
I'm scrolling through the comments, trying to find anyone who's actually read the book.
Doesn't look like anyone has.
(In the book, there is no "people trying to capture the kids because they don't have parents" thing. Instead the parents try to sell the house while they're gone. Melanoff's candy factory isn't ever seen, and he's generally melancholy. The parents freeze to death on a mountain, and the kids continue to be somewhat psychopathic. And there is CERTAINLY NO RAINBOW BLIMP)
Seeing this trailer yesterday made me find a pdf of the book and read it last night. I kind of wish they were sticking more to the book, but it still looks like it could be interesting.
Yeah, i have the book and that shit was dark but this is soo different
i've read it and i was so shocked by this trailer--i don't know why people can't be satisfied with books that aren't packed with a crazy adventure. They did the same thing with Lowry's The Giver and gave it more action than the book had
What kind of idiotic story is that?
Melissa Smith which story are you referring to? The book or the show?
This movie was beautiful and taught that
A family can even be created out of love & care and being blood related alone is not necessarily can be called as a family 😊
The person that I called my dad he’s not my blood father he help my mom raise me with my birth father didn’t want me in on him probably my whole life and his family that’s not my blood everything‘s always treated me like family his sister and all that stuff always considered me or one of her nieces and all that stuff my cousins everybody we’re not blood but they consider me family and took care of Me 2 with my mom so I’ve always known you don’t have to be blood to be family and I’ve always heard you have two families at the film you’re born with and the family you choose

And where's the other brother?
I really like that song she was singing in the beginning, even if it was short. Also, her parents are crazy that if it’s annoying. Her singing is amazing!
*YES, THIS MOVIE WAS FUN, AND THE ENDING WAS SOOO SWEET AND SHOULD BE CONTINUED IN A SERIES OR EVEN A WILLOUGHBYS 2 OR SOMETHING!* Although, I often imagine an alternate version of the Willoughbys’ story with the cat as a human named Dylan still acting as the narrator, but also being the older brother to Tim, Jane, and the Barnabys and being heavily involved in the story.

DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS
Yes, their parents were neglectful and abusive so they just wanted to get rid of them because orphans in the books find happiness at the end of the stories. They didn't die in the tour itself though.

Did you mean: THE LOVE OF MY LIFE?
Anyone notice in the trailer their father said “shush your shusher,” he had an American accent even though in the film he’s got a posh British accent?

When parents are showing no love to their children anymore, the nanny steps in. That’s the vital role the nanny, to be someone’s who’s there for unloved children. That’s a different kind of love from a nanny.
