I listened 50 times tonight... Exceeding my 4 or five times in the past.... I love love LOVE the song but in the video that magic moment and you see David in slow motion and freeze frame begs me to watch again
What an amazing song. Those lyrics cut deep like surgeons, you really feel what he's saying about being naive and not knowing what the proper next step is. David Bowie's music was a transcending element of beauty, art, feelings and pure balls that no singer has today!!!!!
Five years since you left but we haven't forgotten. Memorable gigs in Glasgow and for me, great nights watching you at the Apollo with Ronno by your side. RIP Starman, the soundtrack to my life.
I've loved Bowie music since the early '70s.........but, this song has always been my favorite. The lyrics and chord changes are simply genius and quite honestly it's all I can do to keep from weeping openly. Rest in Peace, David.

I'm 53. We share birth date in different years: 1947 and 1966, January 8th. I bought this LP in Málaga ,my hometown, in 1984 and still conserve it. And still I play it in a real vinyl player.
How do you bring back the 80s? The decade wasn't that good anyway - we just romanticise the time when we were young. This, and Bowie in general is great, of course.
Selfishly I feel that way too, although in my heart of hearts I know everyone should be allowed to die. But the universe could've spared him a little longer, I think.
There are many reasons I don't believe Bowie was human. One of them is that he looked better and better with every decade that passed. Did he really die, or did he just return to his home planet?
Such a sunny smile he gives when he sings - nothing more beautiful than genius with kindness and he gave a beautiful witness this is possible in !modern music too.❤🎆
That man had the most beautiful smile of any human being I have ever seen before. It must have come from his soul, because his smile was equally radiant both before and after getting his teeth fixed. The way his whole face lights up in this video, it's just magical.
This is one of those songs you hear a thousand times and ignore. One day you hear it and it dawns on you that it is amazing.....

Still ABSOLUTELY loving this in 2022!!! As long as you're still smiling, that's all I really need!
I think this whole BBC performance was perfection - the band, the vibe from the audience and Bowie is in perfect voice
I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY!
❤I am absolutely love David and his songs!
We miss you so much.
We are absolute beginners, David.
We miss you so much.
cant understand why 408 people would dislike this.......such a heartfelt performance
1.3 k Assholes.
If you hear what's in the charts these days, you understand it
Don't worry. there are always stupid people
Troglodytes
This is one of the greatest live performances ever. Gives me chills every time I hear it,

I ABSOLUTE love this music. Rest in peace David. We’ll miss you!!
THIS PERFORMANCE HAS ME IN TEARS, MISS U BOWIE
What a deep an beautiful song !! Love you forever, David Bowie.
This song, this lyric, it´s simple perfect...
Er war ein wunderschöner Mensch und wunderbarer Sänger❤
Ja er war
Das war er ......
His voice is so beautiful. I wish I listened to him more when he was alive. Thank God we have his amazing voice forever with us. He looked so happy during this concert. That's what real love does to a person and he had it with his wife and children. May God bless and keep them.
Very hard to stop listen this song again and again...
+Lubos Grolmus tell me....i am bass guitar player from bosnia...this is timeless....sorry if i did not wright some of the words corectly....
+Lubos Grolmus and again and again and again and again.... and so freakin' on!
+goya kresic You write quite well don't worry. Great song!
The feeling is more important than the words
I listened 50 times tonight... Exceeding my 4 or five times in the past.... I love love LOVE the song but in the video that magic moment and you see David in slow motion and freeze frame begs me to watch again
Absolutely brilliant, absolutely love you
What an amazing song. Those lyrics cut deep like surgeons, you really feel what he's saying about being naive and not knowing what the proper next step is. David Bowie's music was a transcending element of beauty, art, feelings and pure balls that no singer has today!!!!!
No one can ever take his place. He is a one-off. And we should be grateful for that. ✌
based on novel of same name by colin mcinness..
Five years since you left but we haven't forgotten. Memorable gigs in Glasgow and for me, great nights watching you at the Apollo with Ronno by your side. RIP Starman, the soundtrack to my life.
This is a wonderful version. I am so happy i discovered it.
I love this song
Makes u cry it’s about life be the best u can be no matter wat people say we were all beginners when we all were born I miss u David
There were moments during this concert that David would smile, and it would take your breath away ✨️
I've loved Bowie music since the early '70s.........but, this song has always been my favorite. The lyrics and chord changes are simply genius and quite honestly it's all I can do to keep from weeping openly. Rest in Peace, David.
Charlie Aesque same here!
Charlie Aesque me too. More he so obviously loves it
I miss him as well!
Me too. The world is a less nicer place without him RIP David xx
The song "For You" by Rita Ora sounds like they've stolen the string melody from this beautiful song.
Me desculpe, saia desse país e viva em liberdade
I've nothing much to offer
There's nothing much to take
I'm an absolute beginner
But I'm absolutely sane
As long as we're together
The rest can go to hell
I absolutely love you
But we're absolute beginners
With eyes completely open
But nervous all the same
If our love song
Could fly over mountains
Could laugh at the ocean
Just like the films
There's no reason
To feel all the hard times
To lay down the hard lines
It's absolutely true
Nothing much could happen
Nothing we can't shake
Oh, we're absolute beginners
With nothing much at stake
As long as you're still smiling
There's nothing more I need
I absolutely…
''As long as we're together
The rest can go to hell''
The best part
😆
Marian Gutierrez❤️
Wish you eri with
Thanks
This song came out in my teens, radio and everything in Sweden!🙂David Bowie was always around in my teens! When we lost him, it suddenly hit hard! I could actually listend to him more! The fun talented gue is gone! No more Jones stuff in the future!!😢
Absolutely love this version❤️
RIP the great David Bowie.
U r going to be in our hearts for eternity 🙏🏻
I'm 52 and this song crried me to work in my car to many textile factories in the 80's.....BRING BACk the 80's
No, life is now ! but I sure did enjoy myself, still do.
Rick Ogden at least you lived the 80s
David Bowie nos dejó, pero seguro que volverá algún día....... mientras seguiremos disfrutando de sus canciones.
Every time I listen to this I'm blown away with emotions. It's magical and his lyrics are timeless.
I lost, the world lost an epic giant. XX
This is one of my favorite songs by David Bowie 💓
Absolute perfection! I still miss him badly in May 2021😥😥😥
Same here. Mr. Jones has no peers.
Eta mūzika būs Vsjegda 😁
And today, for the first time in my life, I TRULY think to myself: some people should never die.
won't be the last I Guess, So, for a way full with the best of the encounters :)
I feel the same! Great loss and still hurts.......
I Could Honestly Agree To That😞
Selfishly I feel that way too, although in my heart of hearts I know everyone should be allowed to die. But the universe could've spared him a little longer, I think.
let's not die, let's love
He had the most gorgeous smile!
Oooh yes....absolutely.....
David Bowie was such a gift to us! So talented and I loved his beautiful voice and looks over the years..❤
❤️ my absolute favourite singer. Since 1996. I was 13 years old when I heard him for the first time.
this song is magical, may 2021 bring us light and happiness 🙌✨✨ we miss you so much, David ⭐️
I miss David Bowie! Italian Fan in Italian Summer 2021
yes its 2024 and i miss my david ,,,,,,absolutely
Garson, Dorsey, Slick...the chemistry between all the members of the band was incredible in the BEEB concerts. Bowie at his peak...just sublime
I truly love this song as well it has such a special memory for me.... His passing is missed greatly everyday.
Great memories, surely a great musician has left us for greener pastures.
I really love that song ! David seems so simply "HUMAN" . So beautiful !
There are many reasons I don't believe Bowie was human. One of them is that he looked better and better with every decade that passed. Did he really die, or did he just return to his home planet?
CRH I hope his home planet.
You are reading my mind!
He just returned to the stars :)
He just went home.
He will never die.
Lives in my heart forever 💘
Such a sunny smile he gives when he sings - nothing more beautiful than genius with kindness and he gave a beautiful witness this is possible in !modern music too.❤🎆
I absolutely love this!
That man had the most beautiful smile of any human being I have ever seen before. It must have come from his soul, because his smile was equally radiant both before and after getting his teeth fixed. The way his whole face lights up in this video, it's just magical.
Absolutely true!!
Rebecca B Einstellung
