I’m a Detroiter and many of my fellow residents continue to treat the former Mayor Kilpatrick as if they’re gullible church goers and he’s the manipulative preacher.
Many chose to ignore how he treated the officers who were doing their jobs by investigating him to find out if there was a party he threw the mayor’s mansion that may have led to a young lady being killed, he related by unjustly firing them (Kwame agreed to the settlement after a jury found the city liable for his actions as the mayor).

I always look at where Gerald Oliver was found with that gun. The irony was not lost on me. I know Kwame, regardless of what you the mainstream media says. I admire his impact. He has a tremendous impact on how the struggle is executed by me and my associates. We observed what the political machine could do. We started to move differently. after they did what they did to my Brother. Kwame's Community policing mandate was brilliant. The racists suburbanites created t-shirts and purses with his face on them to wear in the city as a taunt to us. Because they knew like we did that the beast tried to publicly lynch that brother.
